We can clearly see how pure she is by her affection watching her brother die, threatening to burn citys to the ground, fed a random maester to her dragons and burning surrended enemys alive. S&P are smart enough to see that the buildup was great, but they are still restricted by 2 chains to see the big picture. Chain 1: Danys orphan, exiled orphan side that just wants to come home and her oppressed abused past that drives her to free other oppressed and abused people, to make a better world. She wanted to build a better world at the end by destroying the old one that rejected her. S&P are still blinded by those sides of her, making them unable to fully understand her. Chain 2: negative people online that dont want to hear how everything was executed perfectly and that it made total sense and was earned throughout 8 seasons, because thats not the end they wished for.
