I love this episode because with the ending, its basically the first time Walt chooses the Heisenberg life for himself, and really not for any other reason

2023-09-26 09:05:03 +0000 UTCIt's not a huge deal to give a 16 year old kid a shot in the US for an event like that, but when Walter kept pushing and pushing it, dumping far more tequila in each shot, and getting aggro with Hank that it went wild. Even if Walt Jr had been 19 in the show, it would have been shocking.

2023-09-18 16:09:18 +0000 UTCI think you might be forgetting that Jane is a recovering drug addict herself (sober long enough to get a 'chip' from a program, we saw a couple episodes ago). She can't let her dad know she's hanging out with Jesse, who both uses & deals drugs. Pretty sure her dad (the property owner) is letting her live in that apartment & manage the one next door only as long as she stays sober and stays away from people like Jesse. Which explains her hot/cold, squirrelly behaviour and why she keeps trying to push Jesse away (emotionally).

It's rather because he got into the drug business under the impression that he was gonna die soon anyway, and now that he knows he'll probably live, he's stuck in this business and can't get out, and that's why he got so enraged
