Full Length Reaction Guide

We take copyright law very seriously, so you will have to sync up our reaction to your own version of the show/movie. To help, we have a range of guiding tools throughout the reaction to help you sync up with us, including a small snippet of the scene to ensure you are in sync.  Any instances in which you see the screen cut, this means we’ve had technical difficulties or have skipped a potential disruptions/bloopers. This means you will need to sync up your copy of the show again, if we are unable to edit these cuts seamlessly into the next scene. An updated timecode will be provided on the screen.  Anytime we pause, there will be timer/countdown on screen to prompt you. So if we’re about to pause, there’ll be a countdown, and you are expected to pause as the number reaches 0. The same will happen when we press play after pausing. You will press play as the number reaches 0.  Here are some popular ways people sync up the reaction with their own copy of the show:

We hope you enjoy the video!

So happy to be back with my favorite Aussie couple. This first installment was everything I'd hoped.

The houses and what they represent: Gryffindor - Bravery, chivalry, honor, helping others, determination, recklessness, self-righteousness, short tempered and a desire to always be the hero. Someone who likes to stand up for the little guy, challenges authority, and has a tendency to act first & think later. Hufflepuff - Hard work, patience, loyalty, modesty dedication, kindness and fairness. Someone who has a strong moral compass, is usually accepting of everyone and rarely starts arguments. (I am a proud Hufflepuff). Ravenclaw - Intelligence, wisdom, knowledge, creativity, originality and wit. Someone who is academically motivated, logical, curious, eccentric, and accepting of people & things that others would consider 'weird'. Slytherin - Ambition, cleverness, cunningness, resourcefulness, pride and self-preservation. Someone who is always one step ahead, has a dark sense of humour, thinks reputation is important, doesn’t let anyone see their soft side and is possibly destined for greatness. While it is true that a lot of dark witches and wizards have been in Slytherin, not all of them are bad. I suggest taking the Sorting Hat Quiz on wizardingworld.com (formerly Pottermore). Chris Columbus wanted Daniel Radcliffe for the role of Harry since he saw him in BBC's production of David Copperfield, which he starred in with some of his future co-stars in Harry Potter, like Dame Maggie Smith (McGonagall) and Zoë Wanamaker (Madame Hooch). J.K. Rowling approved of his casting and said they couldn't have found a better Harry. Having seen an ad for open casting, Rupert Grint sent in a video of himself rapping about how much he wanted the part of Ron, and was successful. Emma Watson's Oxford theatre teacher passed her name on to the casting agents and she had to do over 5 interviews before she got the part of Hermione. Richard Harris only agreed to the part of Dumbledore after his 11 year old granddaughter threatened never to speak to him again. Tom Felton originally auditioned for Harry and Ron before getting the part of Draco. Robin Williams and Rosie O'Donnell asked to play the roles of Molly Weasley and Rubeus Hagrid respectively, without pay, but were turned down because J.K. Rowling wanted only British and Irish actors in the films. Rowling hand picked Robbie Coltrane, Dame Maggie Smith and Alan Rickman for their roles. Several minor characters were removed from the films, most prominently Peeves the poltergeist. Actor Rik Mayall was cast in the role but his scenes were ultimately cut and never released. J.K. Rowling has stated that the "t" in "Voldemort" is meant to be silent, like in "mort", the French word for death. Voldemort literally means "flight from death". Interesting fact: Daniel Radcliffe, who's eyes are blue, was initially meant to wear green contact lenses to match Harry's eye colour as well as his mother's, but the lenses gave him an allergic reaction so after consultation with Rowling, it was agreed that Harry could have blue eyes. However, he does have them in the last scene which was actually the first one that was filmed, and his green eyes are clearly visible in close-ups. In contrast, Ron has blue eyes in the book but Rupert Grint has green eyes.

So happy! Thank you for this! They did a great job adapting the books into movies. And the books are amazing! Most people will tell you that the first two are kid like movies, but the movies grow with Harry. We're seeing this story through Harry's experiences and when you're a child, you're not exposed to a lot of dark or adult situations.

Annashaki

So glad you started these. The first two (in my humble opinion) feel more oriented toward kids, and then each film gets darker and darker. The 3rd and 6th are my favorites.

rachel pelfrey

i am finally happy

Boaty Zooka

Any chance of getting Chamber of Secrets today or tomorrow?

Max Martin

Wizardingworld.com is where people take the official sorting test. You guys should definitely make a video taking the test to figure out your house at some point.

Guilherme G.

Snape hands down my favorite character in HP

Cjay_92

You guys should do predictions, that'd be fun.

Lise

sadly its a hot christmas in australia lol

big harsher

perfect timing for this as these are definitely fall/christmas movies

Megan Burland

Great! I watch Harry Potter every year from Halloween to Thanksgiving, I squeeze all 8 in.

Nate Terry

Really enjoyed that. Missed you guys. Spartan is Gryffindor and Pudgey is Ravenclaw.

Farbod

Spartan can be Gryffindor/Slytherin. Pudgey can be Ravenclaw/Hufflepuff. This movie series gets better and better each movie. The books cover so much more, but the movies do a good job in capturing the most important parts. First two movies are more world-building and wholesome (just like the books). Then it pretty much goes off from there.

Thomas Jefferson Reyes

https://www.wizardingworld.com/news/discover-your-hogwarts-house-on-wizarding-world you can take this quiz to tell you what house youd be sorted into

Gary

More evil has come out of Slytherin but that doesn't mean there isn't evil from the other houses

Guadalupe Rosas

I’d say from the 3rd film tbh honest it gets clearly darker from the first 2 .

JonSnow21

I think Pudgey for clever will be Ravenclaw and Spartan for bravery will be Gryffindor. And again the films become so much darker and adult each film and there far better.

JonSnow21

My favorite Hufflepuff faculty for Pudgey. And Spartan looks very ambitious, so I would put him in Slytherin xDDD

Quenarc

I AM SOOOO!!!!! HYYYYPPEE!!! about this!!

Karrolina

There are a lot of actors you will recognise from other shows in Harry Potter - some from Game of Thrones

Rainbow

Around Glencoe I think

Rainbow

Spartan - Ravenclaw, Pudgey - Hufflepuff or Gryffindor. :))

Karrolina

Can't wait for the next one! They get darker as they go, and more political from book 4 onwards.

Rainbow

Honestly think both of you would be in Griffindor. Loyalty is Hufflepuff's trait but they also take those who don't fit as much into certain stereotypes.

Rainbow

I believe the Queen does injure Ron in the books but I guess they can't show it in the film. Also there are a couple more tasks in the books too that help stop intruders.

Rainbow

"God I miss the screaming" - Filch... Don't worry... you'll be associated with a lot of screaming in other shows...

Rainbow

So excited to watch it! And can't wait for future reactions, love this series!

Chris Mullen

So excited for this! You guys are going to see why these films/books are so beloved by the end of the series 👍. Ravenclaw represent 🦅💙✊

M. Miel

Yeah Sir Ian McKellen(Gandalf) isn't Dumbledore but he was actually offered the role but turned it down.

Petar

The music, the world, the wonder. It was our childhood. Growing up with HP and LOTR makes me feel so lucky.

Rainbow

Sweet reaction as always guys! Also Spartan, you were wondering where Hogwarts is geographically, it’s in the Scottish Highlands, but protected by strong magic. If a muggle came across it, they’d only see a mouldy ruined castle

Invisigoth99

Spartan is Gryffindor, clearly. Honor, Pride, Integrity, Fighters. That seems like what he admires and values so that's where I think you'd be sorted, Spartan! Pudgey is very inquisitive, perceptive and asks a lot of questions. She thinks outside the box. She likes to analyze details a lot. I'm getting Ravenclaw vibes for you!

Ailene Evangelista

Everyone's reaction when they saw him in Game of Thrones was "Omg is that Filch?" and as usual like with everything else they get to see is in opposite order like them calling Boromir Ned or Gus Edgar 😁

Ersin Günay

Regarding the chess game, in the book Harry, Ron, and Hermione take the place of each of the pieces they represent on the chess board. So Ron is not actually riding the knight, he became the knight. Also, it was mentioned that the pieces from the previous game were lying broken on the side of the board, essentially resetting itself after each game.

Oslo

I wouldn't worry about it being like a kids movie. By the 4th movie you will have a different opinion for sure xD

Dan Tydeman

Yes filch is the same actor as walder fray 😄

Slow Shadow

Really these movies get dark fast. So be ready for that. Also there are some spinoffs to it like fantastic beasts. Opinions on that are divided. I for one really hate the fact that they switched out the cast because of the Depp debacle. But even so it does lift the tip a little on backstory that you don't get in the movies but was explained in the Potter books.

Hans Engelen

The first one for me was my least enjoyed one so if you managed to get throug that one without disliking it I think you will enjoy the next 7 as CGI improves, acting skills improve as the cast get older, relationships get more complex, stories get more serious and darker, and the story pays off pretty well in the end.

Sebz

aw hell yeah! i really hope you guys dig these movies, i grew up with them so they have a really special place in my heart alongside Lord of the Rings. I sort of think of the Harry Potter series as British live-action anime. you're in for a ride! can't wait to see your reactions especially as you get further into the series

jherrerakamin

I’m an absolute Harry Potter fanatic. I literally learned how to read with these books. And I’m not the biggest fan of the first two. They’re more about the novelty but 3 onward is where the story really picks up and gets bigger.

Kodi

When on this channel have we seen Spartan act chivalrous? XD

Alex sh

I think Spartan would be Slythern for sure, almost 100%. Ambitious, might step on the weak to get where he wants to go.

Alex sh

Gryffindor for Spartan, chivalry and bravery, while Pudgey seems like Ravenclaw, knowledgeable and witty

Zephyr

Spartan is for sure Gryffindor. Pudgey is a mix of Ravenclaw/Gryffindor but more Ravenclaw I think.

Demo

I’m already thinking of extra videos from YouTube you guys should watch for this series!! The account MovieFlame has really good videos including ones that compare each movie to its book counterpart. You guys should check them out!! The books have so much more detail, as it is with all book to movie adaptations.

Erin

This was a wonderful surprise! I'm so excited to watch these again, especially the later movies. Many fantastic film moments coming.

John Neiberger

FINALLY!! I hope Star Wars is in the near future cause what Dave Filoni is doing with Star Wars rn it's incredible. Ahsoka is amazing.

Demo

The Ron and Hermione banter rivals the Spartan and Pudgey banter. I think y’all will agree once you watch a few more movies in the series 😂😁

Ailene Evangelista

its available on youtube for me for rent, should try that, just type "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" alternatively type that into google with "rent" at the end and pick whatever provider you want

Martin

I watched the first 10 minutes and can confirm that it’s the theatrical version. (The deleted scene with the letters in the eggs is absent.)

Raga G

who can help me to get the movie? where can i buy him legally?

Victor Radoi

omg YES

T-baby

Thank you for the heads up. What about stuff that’s in the books (only up to the films they’ve watched so far, of course)?

Raga G

"He almost looks like Walder Fray" LMAOOO

HDN

You recorded this two weeks ago! (YouTube says “12 days ago.”) Have you seen the next film or two in the series also and just pacing the release of reactions? In any case, I’m super-thrilled that you’ve embarked on this journey and can’t wait to take it with you. Let’s go!

Raga G

if you listen to our intro, we state that we had seen the first movie (maybe the 2nd we honestly dont remember) at the movies at around 7 years of age, so we dont remember much at all given it was 20 years ago. we never continued on with the movies so now we are going to watch them properly and get the full story. but as always you can judge for yourself in the authenticity of our reaction, and we are confident you'll see pretty quickly that either we are Hollywood level actors...or we just havent seen them xD

CpaSpartan Pudgey

i think it's the extended blue ray supercut version only for non-americans.

SnorlaX

Which version is this?

chaos_witch

This is the fist time since I signed up to patreon that I have a hard time believing you guys haven't seen something.

Gemineye

Got so excited at this notification! 😁 I’m seated!

Ailene Evangelista

The greatest franchise of all time imo , Trust me guys the franchise gets a lot more adult from the 3rd film and up .

JonSnow21

I didn't expect you guys to watch this so soon, extremely hyped! One of the most magical worlds out there, next to Lord of the Rings.

Paul

This is not the extended version, right?

midothegreat

YES! So excited for this

Lily

The first Harry Potter book was published as Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone in most countries. It was released as Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in the US because the publishing house thought the US audience view philosopher as "too archaic sounding" and also wouldn't relay the magical elements sufficiently, so the name changed for the US.

SuddenImpulse

I’m not the biggest fan of Harry Potter but isn’t it Sorcerer’s Stone? That, I do know. Maybe I’m wrong?

Destinee Yang

HOLY SHIT

ITZxJeff

The first Harry Potter book was published as Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone in most countries. It was released as Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in the US because the publishing house thought the US audience wouldn't know what a philosopher (in the magical sense/"would sound too archaic") was, so the name changed for the US.

Let’s goooo! 😃
