Full Length Reaction Guide

We take copyright law very seriously, so you will have to sync up our reaction to your own version of the show/movie. To help, we have a range of guiding tools throughout the reaction to help you sync up with us, including a small snippet of the scene to ensure you are in sync.  Any instances in which you see the screen cut, this means we’ve had technical difficulties or have skipped a potential disruptions/bloopers. This means you will need to sync up your copy of the show again, if we are unable to edit these cuts seamlessly into the next scene. An updated timecode will be provided on the screen.  Anytime we pause, there will be timer/countdown on screen to prompt you. So if we’re about to pause, there’ll be a countdown, and you are expected to pause as the number reaches 0. The same will happen when we press play after pausing. You will press play as the number reaches 0.  Here are some popular ways people sync up the reaction with their own copy of the show:

Comments

To answer your question, the actor playing Gustavo Fring was COMPLETELY UNKNOWN to MOST people here in the US before he appeared on Breaking Bad.

N M

Pudgey was correct about what Skyler was doing when she sang Happy Birthday to Ted. She was imitating Marilyn Monroe when she gave her famous (or infamous) rendition of HB to president Kennedy in 1962.

GYG359

As someone else commented, they were shooting heroin, not meth. Jane was a recovering heroin addict. She was introducing Jesse to the drug, and knew all about how to prepare it and inject it.

GYG359

Spartan with his face during Skylar's song. What a man. Love this guy.

Darth Sckolar

absolutely his most famous role, when they said edgar i screamed "NO THATS GUS"

Sean Carroll

season 3 was when it stepped up into the mainstream and season 4 was when it became a phenomenon

Sean Carroll

I love that this has inspired people to watch it that haven't seen it before. Just be super careful in these comments, because there have been a few inconsiderate people that post spoilers.

A L

I knew him from Once Upon a Time as the Genie/ Magic Mirror/ Sidney Glass haha

Amber Mary

Also, I keep thinking each episode someone dies, when Walter said “No Matter what. No more dead bodies.” Now he doesn’t even care that someone died because of him..

Amber Mary

Oh my god, I was so scared that the boy in the beginning was going to get shot, I had NO IDEA he would be the one shooting. That really shocked me. Seeing Jane relapse was so heartbreaking… that was the one and only spoiler I knew about this show and I wasn’t ready for it. BUT This show just keeps getting way better than I ever thought it would be. Whyyy I waited so long to watch I have no idea.

Amber Mary

You are right, when I saw Giancarlo Esposito on screen I had no idea who he was. He wasn't particularly known back then.

Steffen Eide

Everyone does ;)

Dennis Reynolds

I love gustavo

Guadalupe Rosas

That movie is so great very underated

Guadalupe Rosas

Oh man the next episode

Demented Avenger

I became a fan of Giancarlo Esposito after his role in the 1989 Spike Lee film, "Do the Right Thing". He's such a great actor and I loved him in this role. Buckle your seatbelts. We will now be picking up speed and I'm so ready for it.

Kristin Kanan

It was heroin, not meth, that they were shooting up and Jesse had never used it before. So, they’re not using any of the meth supply (Jane walked in with a bag presumably filled with heroin she had scored).

Shay

Yea guys , Jane got Jesse into doing heroin not meth, which is even more intense .

JonSnow21

Gus is probably Giancarlo Esposito's most iconic role. He had a phenomenal career before but this show and role is the one that basically laid the groundwork for most of the characters he would play going forward. Also Jane was 18 months sober

Pogger White

Without any spoilers or setting up expectations I do want to expand upon what Spartan was saying about how we're "Getting to the core part of Breaking Bad that shook the world". The show at this point in Season 2 was actually still pretty niche even though they were sweeping the Emmys every year and it didn't really properly hit the mainstream until Season 3 around the same time Netflix was gaining popularity and it was one of if not THE first shows on Netflix that was bingeable and a lot of people caught up with the previous seasons pretty quick and it became a massive hit onwards.

Ersin Günay

That broke me😭

Rey Jr

that scene is brutal.

Petteri Ahlberg

The episode with the single hardest scene in TV history to watch through! No I'm not talking about the Red Wedding from Game of Thrones, I'm talking about the monstrosity of a cringe fest of a scene that was the Skyler singing Happy Birthday to Ted scene.....

Ersin Günay

I think Giancarlo Esposito (Gus) definitely became "world famous" after his role in Breaking Bad. I think lots of people still refer to him as "Gus" no matter what series/movie he plays in lol

midothegreat

"That was Edgar that came in." Me: Ohhh for fucks sake 😤......

Milorad

"Mandala" means "Circle" in Sanskrit, which is a reference to the Buddhist teaching of "wheel of life", as the episode starts with the death of Combo and ends with Skyler going into labor. The episode titles are also a very interesting element of the show

Jackhammer

I can’t watch that Skyler scene without cringing so hard my body begins to collapse into itself

James Woodford

Those two episodes have some of the most awkward scenes in the show for me. Skyler singing happy birthday to Ted and Walter causing a scene with Hank over the tequila. I literally cannot look at the screen until those scenes end because of the cringe and second hand embarrassment. Amazing acting and writing.

Roy Koopa

not to mention Jane laced the H with meth

Jalabarxho

Just to clear it up. What Jesse and Walt sell is meth. What Jesse is now taking and injecting into his arm is heroin. So he's not taking from their selling supply. Also, heroin is a lot stronger and more potentially dangerous than meth. Essentially, heroin is even more hardcore than meth, which is saying something.

Marcell

Spartan's face during the birthday scene killed me

Chris N

got a test tomorrow and i feel like im being rewarded with this double drop! this is going to be a good week

big harsher

DOUBLE DROP WTF!!!! THANK YALL!!!

micah

Was that a mistake or did we really just get a double episode drop?? Maybe to celebrate Spartan’s birthday this week? 🥳

imperial

Lol, more like they posted the cut version of ep 10 and accidentally posted the uncut version of ep 11.

Roy Koopa

Holy shit, DOUBLE EPISODE
