Wouldn't that be nice! What a big pile of mixed crap that is. So much epic stuff in and so much shit as well. I think was outstanding to better than mediocre then Lucas sold it to Disney and it went to shit with some movies, struck absolute gold with others. Same with the shows, some are great some mediocre to bad. But thats just my opinion, Star Wars is a huge universe so everyone can find something they enjoy. But I feel like if they do it, they should do everything including the animated stuff because in my opinion that's some of the best Star Wars out there. The end of Clone Wars was in the top 10 TV show episodes on IMDB for about a year. The have not done much sci-fi on the channel tho so maybe they should start with something more easily digestible like Firefly + Serenity or Martian, Interstellar, etc...

if you guys actaully have not seen harry potter and somehow have learned very little about the characters over the last 20 years then for sure, for me though what made harry potter so good was the competed arc in the story. The final movie does such a good job finshing the story.

I had just hoped there would also be the occasional movie I'm also interested in. It's not like the poll results were close, so I know I'm essentially just shouting into the void. In a perfect world, they'd also react to The Expanse.

@ShanB There is lots of stuff on the list of potential future films, shows, etc. We have everything from the modern drama stuff like BB, to yes, Harry Potter, to things like Star Wars, Gladiator, Last Samurai, Pirates of the Caribbean, anime, and much more, including some pretty adult/hard hitting stuff. It just about time and prioritizing based on the demand in the community and other factors. All in good time. =)

You subscribed for breaking bad, you said it yourself. Don't be upset when they don't instantly start watching things you are interested in.

There is lots more content coming. They try to have lots of variety so there is something for everyone. There will be more things to come in time, and don't be afraid to suggest things you are interested in, as it helps prioritize things for them. Sadly they have limited time and workload availability, so there will be times like this where something new on the docket doesn't always match everyone's interest. They have a long list of shows, movies, and side content they want to get to. =) I can't speak for them, but I believe the Harry Potter consideration specifically was made for a few reasons, 1 being its one of the most widely requested in our community, 2 being how it should (ideally) work with timing for their plans to react to upcoming things like Invincible Season 2 and the like. Everything is a process. They definitely want to do more shows, and more standalone movies as well, perhaps they want to get some of the most requested heavy hitter series out of the way first? *shrug* All will come in time.

Kinda seems like it’s already decided w the poll options, but I wish there was a third option for “yes, but put it low on the priority list” bc I just think there are other things you could be reacting to in order to really grow the channel AND give Patreon the most bang for its buck. Like adding a third show slot for example, or tackling Hunger Games first since it’s less films and more adult, not to mention more recent than the majority of Harry Potter. Also, isn’t Harry Potter WB again? Hunger Games isn’t. That could lead to trouble with the uploads for yet another series. Personally I think a break from all the long grey beards and pointy hats before starting Harry Potter would allow me to enjoy the Harry Potter reactions even more when they do come.

@Joker1 I’ve never heard anyone say HP is more adult than LOTR lol. I read the books when I was in the 3rd grade, because that’s who the target audience is - 3rd graders. Not saying adults can’t enjoy them, the reason it’s such a great story is because adults do enjoy them as much as kids. But at the end of the day, the story was written for kids/teens.

While I don't personally agree that the movie selection is overrated, I'll agree that I'm along with you in the smaller group of patrons here who're looking forward to a bit more mature content. That said it does appear that S&P's base audience is more into fantasy... i'd have suggested BEOWULF (if they haven't watched already). It's animated fantasy action for adults.

The harry potter movies are gr8 and well done adaptations. But to truly understand the phenomenon that was Harry Potter, you gotta read the books. The full story couldn't make it into 2 hour movies at all. Theres a lot of unexplained stuff in the films, they work better for me as visual companion pieces.

They're fun movies and have heart. I think you're going to love them. Not my favorite movies, but I like watching reactions of them. That said, I hope you guys watch other standalone movies in the future. As well as other franchises (such as Star Wars, but that's a whole different beast in terms of size, and everything in Star Wars has a different style). On a side note, have you guys thought of streaming some Lord of the Rings games? Such as the games based on the movies (older and simpler games)? Or the Shadow of Mordor games (modern and more complex games, yet not exactly canon)?

Tough one... The movies are decent films for sure and impressive in there own right, but I would highly recommend reading the books first. A lot of the characters and events in the movies feel like watered down versions of their book counterparts. Not the films' fault mind. There's just so much more stuff in the books that the films simply don't have enough room to put all the nuances and fleshed out characters into them. Though realistically that would be a lot of commitment for you to go through all the books just to do reactions to the movies. And again, the movies aren't bad. Perfectly serviceable reaction content. I just feel that you'll sort of miss out on a lot of potential enjoyment of the series.

HP would be absolutely awesome! Also i dont know if you Guys have seen the Pirates of the Caribbean Movies but i think these would also be very cool

The first two movies (and books) are more geared to a younger audience because the characters are young children. But as the story goes on (and the kids grow up), it progresses to a much more adult-themed story by the end. Bottom line: the whole series is wonderful, magical, and delightful from start to finish! I think you'll really enjoy it.

HP is one of those franchises where the movies/books mature with the audience as you grow up. Having grown up with them they do mature as it goes on but you might not enjoy watching as an older audience the earlier movies but its definitely worth it long term.

I mean, I would love it if you reacted to the Harry Potter movies. They're Fantastic! But to be honest, I'm not sure if they'd be Spartan's cup of tea, particularly the first few. Because as opposed to Game of Thrones and LOTR, they are quite kid oriented. But they do get darker later on.
