LOTR 1 UNCUT Reaction

Really enjoyed watching this with you guys! I’ll be honest, I’m not that excited for Breaking Bad reactions now that GOT is over (though I understand why you’re doing it) and I’m not an anime fan, but I’m super exited for your movie reactions coming to the channel. LOTR was the perfect one to begin with. I was in high school when the LOTR movies came out and liked them then, but I haven’t seen them in about 15 years. Needless to say, I’m super excited to revisit the trilogy with you guys! And I’ve never seen the extended editions so that’s cool also. Watching Fellowship as an adult just now was way more satisfying than experiencing it as a teen. Like, Gandalf’s wisdom really resonated with me more and I realized how beautiful the dialogue is in this film. I also really like the display of genuine and affectionate male friendship in these films, I feel like we don’t really see that as much on screen nowadays. Can’t wait for you guys to do Two Towers!

Agreed I think the film are good but you don’t get attached to any character really unlike Harry Potter

don't know about that. Every LOTR film is better than the best Harry Potter film. Harry Potter is an amazing franchise but LOTR is universally regarded as the best trilogy ever and some of the greatest pieces of cinema ever. Hope they do, do HP though cause I love them films too.

Fantastic reaction! Definitely do more. I've been looking for a reason to go back & rewatch these movies. My fiance isn't a fan of this type of genre so it was Alot of fun going back & rewatching this masterpiece with you two. I can't wait till you guys do the next 2 movies!

I'm pretty sure they were only a couple years old when this movie came out. It's perfectly reasonable that they would not have seen them. They missed the frenzy.

I gotta admit I never really "got" into LOTR when it came out, I thought the story was slow, and I didn't emotionally connect to any of the characters, Over time it felt like I was missing out on a culturally important piece of cinema history, so I'm glad you two are doing this! I'll give it another go and maybe I can appreciate the trilogy in other light with you guys.
