If the North can’t help feed their allies, HOW in the world were they gonna feed their prisoners of war too? Dany already was having difficulty feeding her own army after Tyrion lost her HighGarden. Keeping people prisoners has always been something war generals have to decide based on resources, possibility of insurgence and rebellion ETC! Stan is never kept prisoners except Daavos as far as I’m concerned and same with Tywin. But AGAIN it’s understandable when it’s someone else or any but Dany 🤦🏿‍♀️😭

in a way it was to get us to think about undead animals, Old Nan told Bran stories of the Long Night that included "ice spiders as big as hounds" having undead animals or creatures is something that was left out entirely due to budget reasons never out of the realm of possibility, but we didnt see and white creatures like those ice spiders or possible dead wolves, the white walkers horses are undead, they just chose a polar bear

Great reaction S&P! As you must know by now, most fans don't like this season at all. They HATE it. But I think if you have a low expection going in, you will enjoy it.

my feeling about this series (that it became badly written) is no secret on this page. But I'm most baffled about praising Bran's character arc which I'd argue has been so lazily and poorly written. But each to their own.

The theme during the dragon riding scene was the Targaryen and the Stark theme intertwined. Ramin Djawadi did some serious flexing this season, possibly the only thing coming out of the season that consistently gets better as we go further into the season. There is a scene at the end of episode 3 where he uses a more complex version of the piano music he composed for the scene when Cersei blew up the Sept. Absolutely breath-taking piece of music it completely ripped me out of the scene when I watched it the first time, had to re-watch the scene.

Can we just take a moment to appreciate and praise the beautiful work of the designers & animators who created the opening title sequence? The original is terrific but the updated one for S8 is absolutely incredible and filled with so many gorgeous and meaningful details. I love that we go inside the castles for the first time and that they chart the progress of the white walkers with blue tiles… brilliant! (S&P, I hope you're enjoying it at the start of each episode… Pudgey caught on to where poor little Lord Umber was headed right away, so I’m sure you are. :)

sorry pudgey but the white walker polar bear was definitely not foreshadowing for the dragon. One of the writers in the season 7 documentary literally stated "Goddamn it I want a white walker polar bear" They just went with something that sounded exciting but made literally no sense, much like everything these writers did after season 5
