Game of Thrones Uncut Reaction S7 E7 'The Dragon and the Wolf'
Full Length Reaction Guide
We take copyright law very seriously, so you will have to sync up our reaction to your own version of the show/movie. To help, we have a range of guiding tools throughout the reaction to help you sync up with us, including a small snippet of the scene to ensure you are in sync.
Any instances in which you see the screen cut, this means we’ve had technical difficulties or have skipped a potential disruptions/bloopers. This means you will need to sync up your copy of the show again, if we are unable to edit these cuts seamlessly into the next scene. An updated timecode will be provided on the screen.
Anytime we pause, there will be timer/countdown on screen to prompt you. So if we’re about to pause, there’ll be a countdown, and you are expected to pause as the number reaches 0. The same will happen when we press play after pausing. You will press play as the number reaches 0.
Here are some popular ways people sync up the reaction with their own copy of the show:
- Use a dual monitor PC setup to watch both screens simultaneously
- Use the split screen functions on your computer/phone to watch them side by side
- Chromecast / Screenshare one screen to your TV while watching the other screen on a phone or laptop
- HDMI your laptop / tablet to the TV and use the TV as a 2nd monitor (not mirror display)
- Use your Smart TV or Gaming console to play the YouTube reaction and your Phone/Laptop to play the show (or other way around)
- Use Google chromes picture in picture mode to overlay your own copy of the show over our reaction in a smaller window size (Link to the extension here: ( https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/picture-in-picture-extens/hkgfoiooedgoejojocmhlaklaeopbecg?hl=en )

to me the funniest reaction on this episode is when Jon and Daenerys were in bed... I could see Pudgey's eyes moving from Jon and Dany's faces (right side of the screen) toward Jon's butt (left side of the screen)... 3 times !!!

about: Littlefinger.... I don't think Sansa and Arya were faking being fooled. To me apparently they had one private conversation where they finally put everything together (probably with Bran explaining things from the past) before they killed him.

" I'm not sure if Pudgey was ever asked which side do you choose if you had to?"
It was asked, she basically said she didn't know how she could choose. Understandable, even if it might have potentially put her in a bad situation in later seasons if the story had gone differently.

Yes.. I truly hate choosing between Stark or Targaryen, because there is something extremely appealing about House Targaryen, especially since the power that accompanies them is so fierce. But in a worst case scenario, Stark is the family I've followed so closely. The Stark children are the ones Ive rooted for the most... and the morals and values I've defended this whole show were that of House Stark, so ultimately, the Starks are the ones I'd follow into battle. And I would gladly bend the knee to Dany, but only if the King in the North told me that is the way, for he is the only one who I would serve unfailingly. It's only the cherry on top to learn that he is a legitimate Targaryen. And that is the Targaryen I would bend the knee for.. and that's really only because he was raised with Stark values. Aegon Targaryen of House Stark, yes Stark, is the King I'd choose every time.

I agree also with Paul the above comment. I'm not sure if Pudgey was ever asked which side do you choose if you had to? I think Spartan should ask her this and she has to choose. Just curious. I suppose yea, a question like "if they are on opposite sides then who do you absolutely not want to lose?" would be the best way to ask it.

You both have great points. I do understand and resonate with Pudgey's view of not picking a side as she liked them both. Here's the reason. From a viewers perspective we can all like both Dany and Jon, as we have been watching both of them for so long. If Jon had the viewers experience he may have bent the knee right away, and if Dany had watched all of his perspective as a viewer like we do, then she would have instantly trusted him. My point here is that it is very understandable that Pudgey didn't choose a side, she got to see both sides and liked them both. Jon in the show has stayed true to himself up to this point because he didn't have that perspective that we as viewers do. It all depends on what the actual argument is imo. If it's "you haven't chosen a side" then of course Spartan wins that argument. If it's "who have you been loyal to?" then Pudgey wins, as she has been loyal to them both and never picked a side.

Also, House Stark since day 1. It's okay to love other houses, but Loyalty can only be fully pledged to 1. If you choose more than 1 house and they end up feuding, it'll look foolish to pick a house simply because your forced to pick. That's not loyalty. Loyalty is saying I choose House Stark and house Targaryen, but if it came down to it, I am a Stark through and through. And hopefully it never comes to them being on opposite sides, but you always have to account for the worst. For that reason, I choose House Stark. Lol

When Cersei and Tyrion had their chat, some people get confused when Tyrion accepts blame for Myrcella and Tommens death, but I think the understanding from both of them is that neither of the kids would have been in their situations if Tywin still lived. Sparrows existed in Kings Landing before, but people like Tywin kept them from returning or gaining power. Without the Sparrows being present Tommens fate would probably have been different. Same thing can be said for Elaria Sand killing Myrcella. Perhaps she still would have been murdered, but the chances were less likely while Tywin lived. People feared Tywin and when he died, you'll notice an obvious shift in the vulnerability of House Lannister. And Cersei running the show without someone like Tywin to back her felt like an obvious trajectory towards disaster. Now the show isn't over, so it may very well turn around, but as far as weve seen, the downfall didn't start at Jofferys death or Tyrions departure from Westeros... It was the moment Tywin died. Cersei even says this during their chat.. while he's telling her that he loved the kids more than anything and she wasn't hearing it, she says "No one would have dared touch them if father was here!" This statement led to the stuff she says about leaving them open for the vultures. This is a subtle statement and quick moment, but it truly makes a lot of sense and upon a rewatch, you'll notice the power shift between S4E10 with Lannisters having a very powerful and unstoppable presence to S5E1 with an obvious vulnerability to the crown (aka Lannisters). Although, I fully believe Cersei set in motion the events that led to her kids deaths, I do believe her kids may have lived longer if Tywin didn't die. Or at very least, they wouldn't have died without Tywins wrath following those who made moves against House Lannister.

Great reaction as per usual guys, really enjoyed it. Hard not to enjoy Spartan getting hyped for the big battles and Pudgy getting emotional with …well… almost everything. I am with Pudgy however … I could never choose between house Targaryen and Stark. I have the same amount of love for Danny and John I just think Danny is a much more interesting character in the end. Re-watching with you guys I was able to enjoy season 7 and disregard all the little things I found disjointed with it the first time. Hopefully I can do that with season 8 because man did I finish that season with some strong feelings. Good job, can’t wait to finish up this journey with you both.

People say things they don't mean all the time. People also change their minds. Season 7 has many faults but this isn't one of them.
(Also, there were no dragons yet at KL when we last saw Bronn, but that's admittedly splitting hairs. My real answers are above. ;) )

I love you both so I’m not choosing sides. But I’ll just say this for Spartan, Jon, being a Targaryen and a Stark, is both Ice and Fire, and also Fire and Blood…and Ned knew all along that Jon was a legitimate future King and heir to the Iron Throne. WOW!

With the death of Littlefinger and the revelation that Robert’s Rebellion was built on a lie, I would like to share what I think is one of the most interesting, intriguing and very plausible theories about who told the lie. And who did they tell it to?
It basically suggests that Littlefinger was the culprit. The same way that he was behind the lies that led to the Starks and Lannisters going to war with each other after Jon Arryn’s death, which he was also behind. I’m leaving the link here to an excellent video which lays it all out quite clearly and with logic and good details. There is nothing in the video that would be considered a spoiler now that Spartan and Pudgey have seen Season 7, and know that Robert’s Rebellion was built on a lie. It is merely a bit of very plausible speculation based on the history of Robert’s Rebellion, with a few additional details about that history spelled out. But again, no spoilers.
Whether or not Spartan and Pudgey want to take the time to listen to the video, which is a little lengthy, I expect that other fans of the series would enjoy this. I do think it is right in line with S&P’s interests. Since they appear to love the history, lore and world building behind this story. Maybe one of the mods would like to check it out and see if I am recommending this accurately. It is from the popular YouTube channel InDeepGeek, and part of his series about Rhaeger and Lyanna. Always Team/ House Pudgey.
Also I couldn’t decide between Stark and Targaryen either.

Love the reaction as usual - just one thing to mull over concerning Jamie. Remember, Jamie has lived most of his life as being known as a traitor "the kingslayer" looked down on throughout the land. However, to Jamie, he made that decision despite the fact that he knew he'd be hated - he did it to save people's lives from the mad king. Jamie actually made the ultimate selfless choice in that regard. Yes, Jamie is flawed mainly due to being blinded by love (as gross as it is) it's still love. But even him going after Dany. When asked why he did it - he said "to end the war." He is taking a play from Tywin's book. One person's death vs. thousands - which is better? Jamie's decisions have been controversial but from a different angle they were made for a reason.
I love your convo about it though - Jamie, to me, is one of my favorite characters not due to him being perfect (he's far from it) but he is one of the most interesting complex characters in the show. The beauty of GoT is that it's not a hero - villain typical fantasy. The show is about free will and decisions and just how grey those things can be when looked though different lenses. In that regard, S8 will test you - in the best way possible.
Can't wait for next episode! Cheers :)

This commoner is siding with House Pudgey, for having the ability and foresight that limiting oneself to a singular house is absurd and therefore perhaps could be seen as even breaking the wheel 😜

Tomy, it is against the rules and common sense to set expectations of disappointment. You gotta ask yourself exactly why you are here. Are you paying to get shitty reactions from reactors whose experience has been soured in advance by comments like these? Or do you want them to maintain their enthusiasm and enjoy the show regardless of how you may feel?
That aside, even if you don't care, comments like these threaten to ruin the reactions for those of who do care. So yes, people will reaction violently when you ruin their entertainment.
They LOVED season 7. It is very probable that they will love season 8. Why on earth would you want to sour that?

Spartan : " Bend the knee now "... Respect our QUEEN!
Why would she ? Because he is the true heir ? It's irrelevant!
Btw if Jon pledged for Dany, it's not because Tormund told him that Mance's pride and all that. He pledged to Dany because of what she did for them when they were at the North.
That's why he said in the previous episode : " They will see you for what you are ", and in this one : " you're not like everyone else ".

What's the point of this comment? What do you get from this? How about you let THEM decide. Real simple concept. A bunch of morons like you said the same thing about season 7 but they seemed to love it. Stop trying to influence their reactions. Again, why are you paying to watch someone watching something you dislike? What's the point?

Dany says if they don’t convince Cersai, then her dragon died for nothing.
Actually, he died so the dead could cross into Westeros. Whoops? Totally sorry, Dany, that’s the worst bummer ever.
Side note: Look at the NK riding the dragon, squint, and tell me that doesn’t look like Dany in her black coat with the strong shoulders and his head spikes don’t look like the outlines of her braids pulled back. They had the same profile this season. That NK jerk rocked her dragon AND her look!

100% Team Pudgey!
I respect her honesty about finding both houses equally worthy, whereas Spartan rants and rants about House Stark but currently has ZERO Starks on his Love List OR his Like List. Now that he knows Jon is actually Aegon Targaryen (and you only get to celebrate calling him the rightful heir to the throne if you go with House T, because that is the only thing that makes him the heir), Spartan has ONE opportunity to correct this at the beginning of Season 8 and put other, ACTUAL Starks on his lists.
I love you, Spartan, and I’m joking around and giving you a hard time because you have thick skin and you can take a joke. :) But the moment your man gets a new house name, if you don’t backfill your list with other (ACTUAL) Starks, you have jumped ship to a different house, whether you admit that’s what you’re doing or not; at least Pudgey is consistent, won’t pledge herself to a house she can’t keep faith with, and that is why she’s my queen!
Also, Spartan brought dishonor to his house when he said Brienne was “instant love list” when she rescued Theon and Sansa, then blew her off when it came time for an actual love list update. Spartan needs his own redeption arc now to redeem himself for that dishonor. ;)
Side note: No love/like/hate lists this season’s end; fine, I accept that. But no honorable mentions, either?! RIP to many characters. Please don’t forget our dead next season. And there will be more in the war to come!

The thing you have to remember about Jaime is that he has always viewed loyalty to family and house above all else. That's what Tywin instilled in him (and in Cersei) and when Jaime has acted in the past, he always acts for the protection of his family. In series one, this was clear. He didn't care about anything more than his family. Look at what he does to Bran! I LOVE the scene here with him and Cersei, as it's when you see that Jaime has grown as a man and Nikolaj nails it. Season 1 Jaime would've agreed with Cersei and stayed put. But after all he's been through and through Brienne (who crucially here tells his to screw loyalty, which is so alien to him) making him a better man, he chooses something above family loyalty. He chooses to keep his promise and leave to fight for people he doesn't really know or care about, because it's the right thing to do. It's the honourable thing to do and he chooses that. It's huge for him. He still loves Cersei and Tyrion, as they are his family, but he chooses what's right. You can talk about all the wrong choices he's made, but look at them from his viewpoint - they were right for trying to protect/defend his family. Yet, he's finally ready to put something else first for the greater good (and which still helps protect his family from the dead). Personally, I really like season 7 and this episode is one of my favourites.
