Full Length Reaction Guide

We take copyright law very seriously, so you will have to sync up our reaction to your own version of the show/movie. To help, we have a range of guiding tools throughout the reaction to help you sync up with us, including a small snippet of the scene to ensure you are in sync.

Any instances in which you see the screen cut, this means we’ve had technical difficulties or have skipped a potential disruptions/bloopers. This means you will need to sync up your copy of the show again, if we are unable to edit these cuts seamlessly into the next scene. An updated timecode will be provided on the screen.

Anytime we pause, there will be timer/countdown on screen to prompt you. So if we’re about to pause, there’ll be a countdown, and you are expected to pause as the number reaches 0. The same will happen when we press play after pausing. You will press play as the number reaches 0.

Here are some popular ways people sync up the reaction with their own copy of the show:

GodKingSosa

YASSS FINALLY JOINED PATREON SO EXCITED

Jay Sotho

bro saying “this isn’t avatar” when it’s literally not your show and the creators literally made this insane😭

Nando

The funny thing is that both Tenzin and Gyatso are part of the Dalai Lamas name. xD

Darth Sckolar

I agree lol the setting makes no sense, there has been hundreds and thousands of avatars, and out of nowhere from Aang to Korra it becomes a modern world with cars and telephones😀😀, wtfff.

Eshwar Tangirala

lol calm down dude, its great show, same universe, different story.

Koby Murnane

Way to cherry pick a minute detail and cast down the whole show because of it. We get it your mind was made up before you even started watching.

Gemineye

Hey Matt, if there are any concerns feel free to dm us. Our Mods attempt to limit hints just to keep our reactions as authentic as possible, it isn't a personal attack by any means. most people dont intentially go to give anything away but to ere on the side of caution our mods try and minimise that.

CpaSpartan Pudgey

Again, I didn’t go into details lmfao, I have NOT SEEN THIS SHOW. I compared scenes from the last show to 3 minutes of this show. That is not going into details or spoilers. That is having an opinion lmfao, go power trip on someone else I’m just gonna stop giving them my money if their mods are gonna be fucking Nazi’s.

Matt

I’ve literally never seen this show, everything I stated was an observation from the show they just watched and the first three minutes of the episode they have just watched. I’m sorry I can connect thoughts together coherently but it’s not against the rules

Matt

I have my issues with Legend of Korra but I don't mind that so much. We already saw Aang learn the elements (aside from air) so it would've been redundant to see Korra learn the same lessons. And tbf, Aang was able to bend water and fire pretty much immediately when he tried, it was just the technique he was lacking.

Munir

Oh holy fuck this is so bad, I’ve stayed away from this show because I’ve never heard anything to make it worth my time, not even three minutes in and we’re gonna fuck up the entire canon on avatars, Korra is the strongest person in the entire fucking universe, being aware of her avatar status before anyone else when so far we’ve seen only the toy trial for Aang and the fire sages telling Roku on his 16th, Aang was 12 and an air bending prodigy, Korra is what, 6? She already knows how to bend 3 elements with 0 training at all? How is that possible? No one has ever exhibited this raw strength EVER!!!! I’m tapping out lmao I can’t do this shit

Matt

If you keep ignoring the commenting rules there is going to be an issue. Please read them and be less specific about content they haven't seen. If you want to go into detail like this the place for that is our discord channel. You have repeated this comment multiple times, after I asked nicely yesterday. Thank you.

Where did you guys get Tenzin from🙂😃? The monk with Aang in ATLA was Gyatso

Eshwar Tangirala

I agree i did not like the setting for this show at all, making it towards the modern world just isnt Avatar, its still a decent show, season 1 and 3 were great, but 2 and 4 were insanely horrible

Eshwar Tangirala

You guys talk about turning on captions. Definitely turn them on cause you missed certain things like the names of Aangs and Kataras kids. Spartan got one right: Bumi. The other is Kaya, named after Kataras mother. Just a Tip. In other reactions where you have them on you catch important dialogue even if you talk over it. I noticed that cause I really can't stand when reactors talk over stuff and then miss it xD You guys are doing great it that regards. And idk if anyone mention it but Aangs friends name was Kuzon. I think you mistake him for his fire nation friend. Tenzing is named after a Monk (not Gyatso) I think but don't quote me on that.

Hamide Demir

This show when through so much in terms of production hardships. Most of the time they didn't even know if they were going to get another season or not so keep that in mind when watching this series.

Andrew W.

I wouldn't say Korra is more of a prodigy than Aang, though she is a prodigy. Aang didn't know he was the Avatar until he was 12 so he couldn't master any other element, whereas Korra got to train in 3 of them from a very young age. All the same, we only see her master firebending when she's 17 - it takes her over a decade. Aang learnt Water, Earth and Fire in less than one year. As far we know, he's the youngest fully realised Avatar in history, having done this all by the age of 13 (including the spiritual aspect and his Avatar State).

Mzuka

Lol, I always compared Korra with Kyoshi. Glad you guys got into LOK. it is a different style for sure, but I see it like this; The time period they are in is kinda like a "roaring 20's" era and Republic city looks like its modeled off Old New York city(statue of Aang/Statue of liberty). So, the tone and feel of Korra I think SHOULD feel different then Aang's era. even still, the same creators that made ATLA also made LOK. Tenzin is voiced by JK Simmons.

Nate Terry

@Eshwar Please read the commenting rules, which are posted on this very comment section. Thank you.

SuddenImpulse

The Korra/Zuko comparison is purposeful for sure.

Emi

I agree, season 1 and 3 were freaking awesome, but season 2 and 4 were hot pathetic trash.

Eshwar Tangirala

Also. You guys should look into the story of Zukko and avatar Aang gang looking for his mom. There’s a video that explains it, but I believe they were comic shorts . Also explains a little leading up to the new world.

Betty Alice

big adjustment for sure but i think you guys will enjoy if you decide to continue all your favorite parts of avatar like the epic fight sequences and intelligent use of bending is very key in korra so i think youll grow to really like it

Michael Doyle

Fun to see your reactions to things like Katara and her son and grandchildren. And then Toph’s daughter. They opened up with that tease about Zuko’s mother’s story, because they knew that Avatar fans wanted that story. I’m sure you already know that it is available through the comic books that came out post Avatar.

Blackeyedlily

Mods! Don't let me spoil it... "Andor" is not "The Mandalorian" is not "Kenobi" is not "The Clone Wars" is not any of the Star Wars Cinematic Series. Each story is its own story to tell and way to tell it. They do not define each other, they just exist in the same universe. ATLA is not TLOK. TLOK is not ATLA. They are different stories. I like to think (no proof) that ATLA was written back-to-front. They knew what needed to happen in Sozin's Comet and built a show around it. You both mentioned that it wrapped up so much cleaner than anything else, and I think it must be because they knew the end-game as the show went on. TLOK is not that show. It keeps changing a world and building on that world and there is no end-game, there is just the question of "This is where we are now, and where do we go from here?" I have love in my heart for both ATLA and TLOK, even though they are both so very different. I hope you two love each of them, even if they are shows that succeed in different ways.
