Tim Xi

They know how to tease!! 😂

Brandon Robinson

Tomorrow or tonight probably

Adrian Neagoe

Ahhh when is the second part gonna be posted?! The antici…..pation is killing me xx

Brandon Robinson

@Griff I mean it is just that, an opinion. Just like yours and others. Equally valid.

SuddenImpulse

Season 3 of Korra is my favourite season in the the entire franchise overall I like ATLA better but hate when people discredit Korra when IMO has the best season/Villian in the entire franchise

Jackson Natoli

What in the hell… that is a… weird opinion to say the least

Griff

Season 3 and Season 4 of LOK are probably the best seasons in the entire franchise <3

AddictedToDepression

I feel like yall will like Korra so much more. It has more intense action and more adult and aggressive avatar. Which I'm excited for you guys to see. That being said, I only really liked about 60% of the show, particularly season 3 which is up there with Season 3 of Last Airbender :). Overall, doesn't hold a candle to ATLA

LOL mentioning something a couple of times doesn't stop it from being a deux ex machina when a giant lion-turtle comes literally out of the blue to give the protagonist the perfect magical solution right before is absolutely needed. There's a huge difference between confirming something exists in the world and setting up a pay-off. Knowing vaguely that it exists doesn't change a thing. I too think it's the weakest part of the finale but the finale was so great that I still consider it to be perfect despite of this. I totally forgive it, but yeah if we are to get technical, it's a text book deux ex machina, my friend.

KaijinGarou

I'd still call it deus ex machina, as it would have been cooler if they played a more active role in the background. Like a strange island that appears in certain episodes, and each time it appears, it gets closer and closer. But to me it was the meaning and the pieces fitting together that gave me chills. Like he was able to take bending away specifically BECAUSE of how much he stuck to his guns about not killing the firelord. And then it was kinda foreshadowed by a' several things. Like when Zuko said "Defeating you is the Avatar's destiny.", that didn't really make sense to me. It was sort of a "just because" or "that's just how it has to be because of the prophecy." But as Iroh put it, if he fought Ozai, "History would see it as a brother killing a brother." If Zuko fought Ozai, it would be "A son betraying a father for revenge and seizing the throne for himself. If Aang killed the firelord, it might be seen as "The Avatar playing politics, and getting revenge on the grandson of the guy who murdered his people." But for Aang to have EVERY REASON to kill Ozai, but instead taking his bending away and letting him live, it kind deafens the revenge argument. He wasn't seizing power for himself, because he didn't gain any. It wasn't to inflict revenge, because that would have been killing him. So the Avatar had to be the one to defeat the firelord specifically because of HOW he would defeat the firelord. I would picture most of the other options descending into more war.

It would be a deus ex machina if it shows up with no foreshadowing at all *AND* solves an otherwise unsolvable problem, the question then is if you count it showing up in a drawing at the library in season 2 as enough foreshadowing or not to count it as a deus ex machina and if one believes that there was no other reasonable way to solve the issue. Here is all the times the Lion Turtle is shown throughout the show: -It was seen in a scroll in Wan Shi Tong's Library. -A fountain at the Northern Air Temple was in the shape of a lion turtle. -Piandao compared Sokka's courage and heart to those of a lion turtle. -Piandao's manor contained many lion turtle statues. -Admiral Chan's home had a lion turtle door knocker. -General Fong and General Sung both had pauldrons representing the head of a lion turtle as did one of Aang's battle "options". -Aang and Sokka hid behind a lion turtle statue outside the Earth Kingdom Royal Palace while coming up with a plan to enter the party. -Statues of a lion turtle were seen in the background when Sokka was looking for clues in a courtyard. Is it a deus ex machina? Maybe, that's debatable. I'd say the chakra locking and the pointed rock triggering the unlocking of it can potentially fall into this debate as well. Does being a dues ex machina make it bad by default? No. It might be generally bad, but like any cliche, it has it's place. I doubt it's possible to write any story without at least a few cliches, it's all in the execution. The question is if that execution was well done here.

SuddenImpulse

It was basically a deus ex machina though. It is probably the weakest part of the finale.

Emi Wan

I'm so stoked for Korra!

Gemineye

Since you're already done with the series: Noo, you figured out Aang's ability to "bendn't". lol. When I watched this originally when it aired, it completely caught me off guard. And I tell ya, the realization and suddenly EVERYTHING just clicking into place all at once was pretty mind-blowing. Like I still get chills imagining that first time.

Jonathanese

“Welcome to Old People Camp” 😂😂😂😂

Brittany Proffitt

Love the costumes lol

Jeff

when they are finished being edited probably in a few days

CpaSpartan Pudgey

Here we go boyyyyyyzz

Yassine El Allati

Magic 8Ball Spartan

SuddenImpulse

49:55😏😏👀

James Collins

Not into this show, but you guys are so adorable.

Farbod

When will the last two episodes be available to watch? 🫣

Amirah -

🤔”one piece” = One (United) Peace . . . 🤯damn Pudgey. Great reaction as always guys.

Angelo Burton

Yeaahhh!! Korra! :)

Betty Alice

literally lmao. but how could you know at the time??? just good foreshadowing !

Steven

Sometimes I zone out or multitask and then Spartan starts doing his spiel leading into the reaction and for a moment I think I somehow already watched the whole reaction and am at the lead out already… Sometimes I even grab my phone to start picking a new video before I realize it hasn’t even started 😂

Storm

When the lion turtle communicates it does so telepathically. Something about staring into the eyes of a creature more ancient then his struggles makes him realize what he needs to do

Jonathan Haws

Have been waiting for zuko and iroh to reunite, was expecting it could be the thing to get spartan to tear up. So powerful!

Anthony Brown

ahhh that's why everyone waa griefing me for calling Aang out! hahaha. good to know 😆

CpaSpartan Pudgey

Methinks Azula's gone and lost it.

Martin Robertson

Great reaction: The lion turtle chant is an actual Buddhist chant known as "Na Mo A Mi Tuo Fo Shin Di". I read it roughly translate to “I bow to Amitabha or infinite light” Additionally you’ve seen Avatar Yangchen before. There were 2 large statues of her at the Western and Eastern Air Temples. She was so highly regarded that people prayed to her after her death.

Lino Escalante

Can’t wait to watch this later today 🥲🤩

siggemushu

Spartan mentioned you both love the little details in the show, call backs or subtle notes a couple ones that I appreciate are 1- If you look at Aangs footprints walking into the water in the first episode, they are lighter than everyone elses when side by side - Aang actually is twinkle toes and that makes sense that he is light on his feet as an airbender 2- in the episode the Library in book 2, Spartan rolled his eyes at aang getting distracted by useless books/papers in the library - the specific line? “hey sokka, look at this giant lion turtle thing”

Steven

Great reaction :) I assume you would start watching Legend of Korra at some point. It's a great show, but it's very different, I suggest watching it in a new light and try not to compare the two shows too much, you would enjoy it better this way.

Oron Bar

🔥🔥let's gooooo, loving the outfits.
