Full Length Reaction Guide

We take copyright law very seriously, so you will have to sync up our reaction to your own version of the show/movie. To help, we have a range of guiding tools throughout the reaction to help you sync up with us, including a small snippet of the scene to ensure you are in sync.

Any instances in which you see the screen cut, this means we’ve had technical difficulties or have skipped a potential disruptions/bloopers. This means you will need to sync up your copy of the show again, if we are unable to edit these cuts seamlessly into the next scene. An updated timecode will be provided on the screen.

Anytime we pause, there will be timer/countdown on screen to prompt you. So if we’re about to pause, there’ll be a countdown, and you are expected to pause as the number reaches 0. The same will happen when we press play after pausing. You will press play as the number reaches 0.

Here are some popular ways people sync up the reaction with their own copy of the show:

Im a little late but i just finished watching y’all’s reaction to the finale. I’m sad but also happy that you guys got to experience this masterpiece. But I’m also happy that you guys watched Korra, which is something I’m really looking forward to watch. Thanks for taking the time and effort to make this a reality. You guys are amazing. ❤️

Jose

10/10 indeed :)

James

I think it says a lot about the female psyche that Zutara is such a majority in the female fanbase. Maybe because Zuko is older and darker. The whole bad boy trope and whatnot. As a guy I've never understood it haha

Gemineye

I'm sure you'll love Korra, but it just never had an episode so satisfying and 10/10 like this one

Ammaar Ahmed

Can't believe y'all weren't happy aang got his girl 😭 I think he earned that at least after saving the world. Don't think zuko swooping in on her would be good writing lol. I Enjoy y'all reactions tho. And I like seeing Iroh staying true to his nature , his last scene in action being peaceful (burning the flag). And his humble nature as well letting the other oldies steal the show aha

The only thing Avatar is really missing..... is MORE. Especially for Iroh. Most of his business is wrapped up off-screen, but we DO see him remove the Fire Nation flag from the royal palace in Ba Sing Se, AND we see him one-shot the Inner Wall, when he and an entire army had previously spent 600 days just trying to get through the Outer Wall. Oh, and he gets his tea shop back 🍵🫖

cosmic jon

Huh...that must have been an in the moment thing back when the show was airing. I know the older I get the MORE I ship Zutara over Kataang, same as everyone I've talked to about the show in person. Personally the terrible comics that were put out afterward, and the realization of everything that relationship took from Katara and their kids as shown in Korra, only made that feeling stronger. It's not that I hate Kataang or anything, it happened and it's canon, but I still prefer Zutara mostly because Katara is my fav character and I feel like she would have had more agency in Zutara than she had in canon.

Nenny

Somehow they managed to make art out of two teenagers trying to burn each other alive.

KaijinGarou

Im surprised pudgey was not converted to kataraang even after the final scene. most zutara shippers converted i feel after seeing the bond between katara and aang in the final scene. its a show i watched with my nephews and niece. something i wanted to relive with them and show them the beauty of. what a ride. this show is so rewatchable and still hits emotionally time and time again. glad to see how much yall enjoyed this. its truly a show you never forget.

Augustine Lee

I'm not gonna argue in favor or against that because I have no proof but Aang-Katara has been setting up from s1 ep1 and Katara's been an active part in it all along, it wasn't like "hero wins the war so gets the girl", so I'm very OK with it.

KaijinGarou

I mean....being fair they only made Mai/Zuko a thing because of Zutara fans after season 2. There was a pretty hefty ship war (even among the writers tbh which is why there is so much ground work for Zutara) but the head writers were pretty obsessed with the "hero gets the girl" trope. If they hadn't given Zuko another option it would have only made the fandom situation worse.

Nenny

It is SO easy to forget that Azula is 14.

Apex Calibre

Thank you! we're really humbled to hear tgmhat. we appreciate you all 🙏🙏

CpaSpartan Pudgey

Amazing finale. Stories that can stick the landing are rare. Wow it was such a journey going through the show with you again, love how you appreciate all the nuances, the emotions, the characters development. And I really love every choices the writers made for this ending, especially the way Aang handled the Fire Lord and Azula's defeat. The only thing is that like Pudgey I'd have prefered Katara and Zuko together, but I love Aang so much that I'm happy for him he doesn't have to let go of his attachment to Katara.

Lise

another reason aang didn't want to take a life is because he's the only air nomad left. if he threw away his air bender phillosophy, the air nomad culture would be officially dead.

Juan

Same here! They were awesome

ADHDubz

Loved being on this journey with you, you were my first YouTubers I’ve watched from start to finish in real time with, and my first Patreon! You guys are so great at reactions, and so funny together. Can’t wait for Korra, you will love it, lots of greatness comes from that show! I just did a rewatch last week, and it’s so good. ATLA will always win IMO, but it wins against everything IMO, but still an amazing show!

Stephanie Hundley

Azula is one of the greatest villains in history. Her unraveling and complete psychotic break was induced by betrayal after betrayal. First it was Mai, then it was Ty Lee. and then it was the person she cared and believed in the most, her own father, the biggest snake of them all. And ironically, what he did to her was exactly what she's done to everyone else in her life... A true taste of her own medicine.

so its still awhile away but you guys should react to the Netflix live action series when it comes out later this year it has a budget of like 10 million each episode

ReDragon8700

Here's an idea. don't have to do it obviously, but maybe do a video where you two break down the series and maybe go through each book and kinda talk about your thoughts now that you have seen the ending. and remember some characters and stuff that led to this moment. favorite scenes/episodes and what-not. maybe look up some behind-the-scenes stuff and voice actors

Nate Terry

Zutara or Kataraang, I honestly didn't mind either way. I like both and both of them had enough development. But Zuko did have Mai already and she too is a keeper. Aang didn't have anyone else and it would be bad if the last airbender didn't get children.

KaijinGarou

More or less. He can still get better for sure and he probably isn't a firebender master, but he's been bending water all the way back from season 1 and I say he's also an earthbender master no doubt. He even uses Toph's signature spatial awareness and I'm pretty sure it's the element he uses the most after air since mid season 2 onwards. He looks very comfy with earth now, which is ironic knowing how that started. The one I'm most uncertain of is fire. He didn't spend as much time on it but he sure is a better firebender than most, given the dancing dragon style and whatnot. He could use some more training overall but we did see what a highly skilled bender is with all four elements. If he isn't a master yet, he must not be too far from it and I'd 100% grant him that status for earthbending. He can't even bend metal but sub-bendings are always tougher for Avatars, who already have too many things to focus on.

KaijinGarou

This is something I was always unclear about. Did he truly master all 4 at that point. Even in the episodes just before the finale 2 of his masters outright stated he needs more work/to become more proficient in their bending styles.

SuddenImpulse

I missed this yesterday, about to watch right now 😭 cant believe its over.

William Abbott

Its been such a fun and amazing journey rewatching ATLA with you guys 🥹🫶🏽 It's a one of a kind show that will stick with you forever. I'm so happy you guys love it so much!!!!! Also REALLY excited for Korra 🥰

Shakila

I was smiling throughout the entire discussion. Love seeing you appreciate all the fine details, the emotions, the music, all the characters and just how much the show had an impact on you❤️

Saibal Sarkar

"I think Ozai was in the same cell Iroh was. That's ironic. Speaking of Iroh..." You're doing this on purpose, Spartan, I know 🤣.

KaijinGarou

Aang was truly scary, specially for a 12 year-old kid that had just now more or less mastered all four elements. Imagine the balls some other villains in this world had to go against fully realized adult avatars. Fools 😂

KaijinGarou

I know you love Zutara, Pudgey, but the freaking air nation isn't going to repopulate itself 🤣

KaijinGarou

Yeah some people just aren't good at handling hindsight and forget too easily how to understand some stuff and some characters you need to finish the show first, but they get anxious anyway. That must be one of the tougher aspects of making reactions. Great ones, by the way. I loved to see Pudgey crying and Spartan doing it on the inside at the end. I'm excited for season 1 of Korra. It was always impossible for it to be this good of course, but still has some very cool moments. You'll need to have in mind with that one though that the creators wanted to make a multiseason show with an overarching plot from the start just like this but they were only confirmed one season by Nickelodeon at first. That explains many things you might wonder.

KaijinGarou

Well, Iroh's arc was perfectly tied up too but it's true we didn't get to see that fight fully fleshed out. But it's understandable. There were too many things happening at once and all of them extremely important. And the time and budget is limited so I get that they needed to use it for the other stuff.

KaijinGarou

I love how they baited the show ending with Aang and Katara hugging for a second there. The creators are slightly evil 🤣

KaijinGarou

Katara can't bloodbend without a full moon.

KaijinGarou

A beautiful end to an amazing show. I can’t wait for you guys to watch Korra! It’s gonna be epic.

Joseph Campbell

Korra has its ups and downs. I don't think the characters are as interesting as in ATLA but that's a high bar to overcome. It's definitely worth the watch for how much they expand the Avatar world. I am excited for you to get to some of my favorite episodes just like in ATLA!

Daniel Castro

Yeah, a feat he was unable to achieve after a 600 day siege. He did it in one shot

Neill Boyce

Can’t believe you guys have finished ATLA already. But I’m so excited for Korra

umu

Not finished watching yet but seeing Spartan turn into a little kid again at the action scenes makes me happier than I expected XD

Cyan

Don't worry because there is new Avatar content on the way. There is a adult Aang movie with the gang in the mid 20s, there will be a Zuko movie in 2026, there will be an new series based off a new Avatar after Korra and his a Earthbender and there is an live-action Avatar series that will be released this fall with a trailer for the live-action being released this year on June 17

Iroh brought down the walls of Ba Sing Se single handedly. How is that not unleashing? lol

Josh

Zutara not coming to fruition in ATLA was one of my main reasons for joining fanfiction sites back in the day. Those two are so cute together!! What a great show finish, and holy the OST during Zuko and Azula's fight is so so good, can't help but get chills every time.

Elora D. Dragneel

You guys HAVE to read the avatar comic "The Search" part 1 & 2 and give us your thoughts on it. They adapted the story of Zukos mother in a beautiful graphic novel, and it does wonders for fleshing out the stories of Zuko and Azula even more. Its a wonderful story, and you can easily find it online and even on youtube. Its incredible.

Ietseatapples

I LOVE YOU GUYS, IT WAS AN AMAZING JOURNEY THIS MEANT A LOT, THANK YOU FOR REACTING TO THIS ALL TIME GREAT SHOW.

Eshwar Tangirala

meant to say if water touches electricity it will create fire

CpaSpartan Pudgey

NO WAY… on my night off?!?! And GoT?? You guys just made my day. I’ll say it one more time though, I’m truly sad this is over!!! I can’t wait to watch this.

Amber Mary

"Lightning and water make fire" My boy, you wanna elaborate on that? lol

Tezca

right, i came from GoT and I was like "I guessss i'll watch avatar since they are🙄" and now I'm so sad it's over :(

Paul

Thanks. Just realized they also mention it here in this video too

Jay

Yep! They announced that they will be 🎉
