Game of Thrones 6x9 Reaction & Review

Comments

thats strange we can hear it quite clearly on our phones and standard computer speakers?

CpaSpartan Pudgey

Mate please, there's no need to exaggerate and lie about it.

Farmer John

THIS is the episode I wanted you guys to see since your GOT 1x1 reaction!!

Ekaterine Kav

love the reaction! Anyway you guys could increase the volume of the show? not sure if someone else has said anything but with it full blast i still can barely hear it unless I use headphones , otherwise love it!

The White Wolf

I loved spartan this episode he was really like a kid on Christmas 😂

Hoary Old Bitch

They are still doing the uncuts, including for this episode.

SuddenImpulse

I love the Mormont shield at the end <3

Betty Alice

So questions guys so you'll don't do the uncut version anymore? I really wanted to see this ep uncut with yall.

Pharoess

I will never understand it. But the good news in this case is that they were past that episode at the time this was posted.

Julien

i cant believe Sansa wanted Jons army to be decimated, I can believe Little Finger got into her head that if he won he would be the hero that took back Winterfell and avenged the Red Wedding, and that she as a true Stark wanted to have that recognition, but i dont feel she wanted him to lose, she wanted him to wait for more men, but wouldnt tell him about the Vale, if she did i feel Jon would have waited but they would than be apart of his army as he would be comander

JohnnyTitan

That image of him drawing his sword alone against the world was crazy

Jonathan Haws

I always think that when he fights he just use his own men like meat shields, he only attacks when he catches his opponent off guard and then he would retreat back to cover. He couldn't even pull a sword on Jon if he was a good fighter. He just look too easy for Jon

Danny

What an awesome reaction! I’ve been waiting for this episode for so long 😂

Jess Rigg

whats the rest of your 10

Sean Carroll

yep D&D for you

Sean Carroll

yeah its sad how good this is compared to what we have left to see

Sean Carroll

best episode of any show ever is either breaking bad Ozymandias or Attack on titan From you 2000 years ago, winds of winter is great and probably top 10 ever but not number 1

Sean Carroll

Actually In the Battle of the Bastards episode, John Snow bravely faces the Bolton army. You can see, what looks like hundreds of horses, charging toward him. In actuality, it was about 40 horses but they were all charging toward him. No CGI was used!

Chef Nourhan Malik

Most of the horses were CGI

Adrian Neagoe

Ya, let's just put a spoiler in there head before the next 1.. come on man.. delete this post

Abigail Buck

You guys realise the scene where the horses were charging at Kit Harrington ( Jon ) was not cgi those were real horses charging him!!! And the scene where he was trampled and choking that was 100% real too the director used Kits real life fear of getting trampled to death by a serge to make it look as real as can be and it worked Kit was horrified shooting that scene struggling rising for a breath installed that fear in me personally! I watched your reaction twice now and seeing you this excited is everything 💜

Chef Nourhan Malik

Jumping to the place she was pointing. "Hey Mom..Every thing OK?

rantman

Great reaction, catching up myself. I think Sansa didn't tell Jon about the Vale army because she was hoping his would be decimated, hence having the larger army herself once they retake winter fell.

Juan

Phenomenal episode. Khaleesi burning of Slaver's Bay. The Battle of the Bastards is the best battle scene I've ever seen in any movie or T.V. show. My personal #7 favorite episode in my GOT top 10 episodes!

Meraxes

Oh gotcha. Thanks for clarifying =)

SuddenImpulse

Ramsay could fight. He went in shirtless and handed it to the ironborns "50 best killers"

Mark Laniel

also it was smalljon Umber kicking Tormunds ass. They had some of the Umbers and Karstarks.

Mark Laniel

Tyrion has a bad memory. It was he who was acting like a dick towards Theon.

Mark Laniel

Maybe it was a little bit strategizing in King's Landing style, but can you hold that against her? That's how and what she learned. And it keeps her alive. Jon would never have wanted her to ask Baelish for help after what he did. Why offer the choice when you know it gets refused and with it your chances of winning? And I also think that Sansa was not sure if the Vale would show up at all. Remember: never trust Littlefinger. Writing to him was not a guarantee that Baelish acts on her wish.

CherryPi

Wasn't suggesting a reaction, just to watch for additional context

Alex I.

Their schedule for side-videos is pretty jam packed, so I'm not sure when this would get fit in although it is something I would also like to see their reaction to. It may be something they do after the show is done, as they have expressed some interest in reacting to the occasional side video for GoT even after its over. Right now there tends to be more demand for some of the character hype videos like the Zurik channel and such have.

SuddenImpulse

You guys should watch the behind-the-scenes footage for The Battle of The Bastards, it gives you a great insight into the scale of the scene and how much manpower and work went into it.

Alex I.

I’m so curious to see if they catch on to who Jon truly is

Griff

This is the one i really couldnt wait for yall to see lol... one of my favorite ep. But darlings this next ONE the FINALE OMG.

Pharoess

the wait for the next episode is gunna kill me.... I have to go to work a few more times first?! so gutting hahaha

Nathan Smith

1 OUT OF 2 OF THE BEST GoT EPISODES

Iska

Will season 7 for the Demi god tier be released soon?

SnorlaX

Also, I love the parallels between the shot of Jon climbing up out of the mass of his men and the shot of Daenerys being lifted by the crowd in the season 3 finale, “Mhysa.” I know that’s a loaded scene, but I enjoy the damn good cinematography and the visual callback to it happening in BoB.

Brittany Proffitt

Coolest part about the battle to me- that shot where Jon’s being charged by the cavalry and then it goes to shit all around him? Practical effects. Kit Harrington was *actually* standing in the middle of that madness- no green screen.

Brittany Proffitt

His comment was not toxic at all, just honest. And S&P loved season 5 just as much as 6. I think they will have a great time with 7 and 8 as well.

DrückebergerTV

About to watch the most exciting finale of all time here we go!

Chef Nourhan Malik

Season 7 and 8 are good. The problem is people are too invested in the characters and their story doesn't go where they want them to go. But that is GOT for you, it never goes the way you want it to.

Rich Plumb

Amazing reaction! I've been waiting for you to get to the end of season 6, this did not disappoint. Can't wait for next episode!

Lise

In all fairness lady Melisandre visions did come true

Marcus

I cried. I cried at how good GoT used to be BTW Pudgey you have beautiful hair :)

Gabriela Żmuda

Heat in 4 lesgoo

EasyTab

Utd win, Miami up 3-0, reaction to the one of the best episodes. Been a good few days

Jayden Pouwhare

The Starks are NOT to be messed with. None of them. 🐺 There’s only one other Targaryen who flew with three dragons 🐉 Outstanding reaction, fantastic episode.

Daryl

This episode for me was the best of the season and then came along episode 10 "Winds of Winter" Probably the best episode of any show, ever! Interesting (or boring) fact.......... When they were filming Jon (Kit Harington) beating Ramsey up (Iwan Rheon) Jon accidently hit Ramsey twice. They were filming that final scene for 12 hours so as Iwan said "It was bound to happen, it's ok, Kit bought me a pint afterwards" :) Also the scene when John getting crushed by the other's in his army, he asked to allow that to play out so it looked as realistic as possible. They gave him a safe word incase he felt he was in real danger. So when you see him pulling himself up and gasping for breath, that's real. The episode took 25 days to film which is unheard of on a TV show. You guys should watch "Inside the episode" There's a ten minute behind the scenes episode for every episode of GOT. They're brilliant. Awesome reaction, thank you. Now i'm a demi God i'm going to watch episode 10 with you guys :D

Melanie Vine

Love the reaction, followed by one of the best episode 10s IMO, look forward to the next one!

Pave Low

haha its arguably better than winning the grand final it was soo good! thank you Daniel we are so appreciative and thankful to those who have been with us since the beginning, and glad we could provide with this reaction

CpaSpartan Pudgey

Such a good episode! And now on to the season finale 😱

siggemushu

Because she didnt trusters LF. How was she supposed to know that he actually would show up? Besides, os ramsey had known that the KOTV was there, he would have made some kind of counteract based on that information. Sure, a lot of people Got killed, but they ultimately won because of that play Sansa did. You Can like it or not, but it worked.

Sandra Helena Toft Petersen

For the life of me I don’t know why sansa didn’t tell Jon about the knights of the vale

Tayyib Majumder

Hands down one of the best reactions I’ve seen to this episode, love you guys ❤️

Christian Fish

I really like the symbolism when Jon picked up that yellow shield with a bear on it at the end. Sigil of House Mormont.

neutchain

I think it really comes down to just TV Trope/Spectacle stuff. Even the best shows fall victim to it sometimes. Have yet to see any show that hasn't.

SuddenImpulse

How are there so many people commenting here that aren’t supporters? I click on their name and it says they aren’t patrons of any creator?

Elizabeth D.

I've always wondered why Ramsay didn't aim that last arrow at Jon instead of the giant. The giant seemed down already, and Jon was right next to him not paying attention. Ramsay is absolutely the type to do something like that, too.

Munir

The Battle of The Bastards is undoubtedly my favorite episode of the show! Storyline and outcome aside (which I do fucking love!) considering both Jon/Dany had big wins! The direction and approach the Director had for this episode was a MASTERPIECE! I mean the music, the dialogue, the shots, the camera angles, the action sequence! ***chefs kisses*** The scenes where Jon is standing in front of the horses is 100% real FUN FACT; my man Kit actually stood there as Calvary fucking charged at him! INSANE! it shows his commitment as an actor 👏🏻 And I love the constant epicness from both Dany and Jon, I mean to see them grow and evolve and command and take charge is so satisfying. Dany is the queen I serve ! 🙇‍♀️👑 and as always your reaction did not disappoint, I felt myself getting overwhelmed all over again even though I’ve seen the episode a thousand times.

Joana

For those who have been with Spartan and Pudgey since they first entered Westeros with episode 1 of House of the Dragon, this was a fantastic experience. So much enthusiasm and joy after so much emotional turmoil! For Spartan especially, I imagine this is what it’s like when his team wins the AFL Grand Final ( I looked up the Australian football equivalent of the Super Bowl.) Just a detail to mention: notice that the shield Jon picked up to block Ramsey’s arrows was marked with the Mormont Bear sigil. This means one of Lady Mormont’s 62 men made it inside Winterfell and contributed a key element in Jon’s victory.

Daniel Siegel

Can we get a ridiculous counter?

Valcor

yeah there are a lot of logistical issues with this episode but i ignore most of that because of how satisfying it is overall

Sean Carroll

incredible battle, one of the best episodes of TV ever

Philippe

Not gonna lie I was a bit disappointed with Sansa this ep. She could have told Jon about the Knights of the Vale before instead of keeping it from him. It really shows the King's Landing in her. I know Jon probable wouldn't have like it and refused. But she she took away that choice by keeping it from him.

Vash32

“500 men can hold Winterfell against ten thousand” - Ned Stark D&D: castle falls to one giant

Chad-gon Targaryen

The world may never know why Ramsay shot the giant instead of Jon when he was right there

Chad-gon Targaryen

Probably an unpopular take but aside from the technical aspects of the battle, what really bothered me was that it was another instance of an army coming in for a last minute save. They did this first at Blackwater with the Tyrell army; then somewhat again with Stannis’ army right after the battle at Castle Black; Dany seems to get a lot of last-minute dragon saves; and here, the Vale comes in last minute to save Jon’s army. IDK for me personally it just seemed a bit anti climactic how the battle was won

Franky E

This episode and the next one are my favorite in the series

Andrew Turner

I strongly dislike season 6 as a whole but I can’t deny this is the best and most satisfying episode in the whole show

Sean Carroll
