Game of Thrones Uncut Reaction S6 E6 'Blood of My Blood'
Full Length Reaction Guide
We take copyright law very seriously, so you will have to sync up our reaction to your own version of the show/movie. To help, we have a range of guiding tools throughout the reaction to help you sync up with us, including a small snippet of the scene to ensure you are in sync.
Any instances in which you see the screen cut, this means we’ve had technical difficulties or have skipped a potential disruptions/bloopers. This means you will need to sync up your copy of the show again, if we are unable to edit these cuts seamlessly into the next scene. An updated timecode will be provided on the screen.
Anytime we pause, there will be timer/countdown on screen to prompt you. So if we’re about to pause, there’ll be a countdown, and you are expected to pause as the number reaches 0. The same will happen when we press play after pausing. You will press play as the number reaches 0.
These reactions DO NOT include our intros and discussions. You will have to refer to the original edited version of the video.
Here are some popular ways people sync up the reaction with their own copy of the show:
- Use a dual monitor PC setup to watch both screens simultaneously
- Use the split screen functions on your computer/phone to watch them side by side
- Chromecast / Screenshare one screen to your TV while watching the other screen on a phone or laptop
- HDMI your laptop / tablet to the TV and use the TV as a 2nd monitor (not mirror display)
- Use your Smart TV or Gaming console to play the YouTube reaction and your Phone/Laptop to play the show (or other way around)
- Use Google chromes picture in picture mode to overlay your own copy of the show over our reaction in a smaller window size (Link to the extension here: ( https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/picture-in-picture-extens/hkgfoiooedgoejojocmhlaklaeopbecg?hl=en )
We hope you enjoy the video!

Sam gave Bran and co some dragon glass when they met and they fashioned some onto weapons. Meera had hers on a spear. This spear was what she threw at the walker to kill it.

Don't know if it's already been covered, but young Hodors "fit" was him on the ground mimicking the actions of the Hodor holding the door in the present. He was actually living the experience.

Dany’s speech at the end is one of the most cringe scenes in the entire show , the y we’re already following her .

Do you agree she won’t kill people unless it’s somebody SHE wants to kill, or in defense? That’s my point. She’s horrible at killing on command. She literally never assassinates on orders, that’s why she’s in trouble with the Faceless Men/God.

@SuddenImpulse030 I understand what you're saying, and ordinarily I would agree, if we weren't talking about Varys. This is the Master of Whispers we're talking about here, I don't buy that there wasn't any other way for him to know Viserys' character, and the idea that Varys would throw his support behind him without knowing that critical information, just doesn't follow what we know of his character or intentions.

Do Spartan and Pudgey know that Dany isn't just the leading one khalasar but the entire Dothraki people? Like, in that hut ALL of those men were Khals, and she just burned them up. That why was that scene was so epic. Also, it's another reason why that speech she was giving was so epic in this scene. She was inspiring Dothraki as a people.

Im not sure what self defense has to do with it, but the solider sitting at a camp fire wasn't self defense at all. She approached him and tricked him and then stabbed him to death. I'm fully on Aryas side though so I'm not judging.

@Sarah Varys had never met Viserys. He only knew him through Illyrio. He wanted to support the Targaryens and generally speaking women don't have any real momentum to gain and hold power in the patriarchal monarchy that is Westeros. It made sense in the context of the time.

Danny’s speech to the Dothraki is probably my favorite scene of the whole show because of all the nuances and implications that it has.
According to a prophecy of the Dothraki religion, the Stallion Who Mounts the World will unite all the Dothraki under his single khalasar and ride to the ends of the earth. The prophecy states that the Stallion will be the "khal of khals" and all the people of the world will be his herd. As we’ve seen two episodes ago, Danny has fulfilled a part of the prophecy by uniting all the khalasars under one when she killed all the great khals in Dosh Khaleen. However, this is not enough. As we know, the Dothraki culture is highly patriarchal, and probably there are still many Dothrakis who do not want a woman to take the leadership. Also, they are very superstitious and hate magic, so many still do not trust Danny after seeing that she can't burn, which they take as an act of sorcery.
But in this scene Danny finally earns the respect of the Dothraki and totally eradicates any doubt of her not being fit to lead them, and she does it brilliantly:
First, she shows them that she knows and understands the Dothraki culture when mentioning the tradition of the three blood riders. However, she goes one step further by choosing them all as her blood riders. By doing this, she makes them all feel included and involved in her cause and gives them a purpose. Second, she reaffirms her commitment with them by recalling the memory of Khal Drogo and her marriage with him, reminiscing them that she is indeed part of their people and will forever be. Third, she further evidences her deep understanding of their culture by appealing to the the Mother of Mountains, sacred in the Dothraki religion. Fourth, she promises them the most epic battle the world has ever seen, the battle for the Seven Kingdoms, which will take place beyond the ends of the earth (according to the Dothraki, who have never crossed the sea), fulfilling the second part of the prophecy. And last, we know that the greatest pride and strength of the Dothraki lies in their skill as riders… Well, Daenerys does all of this while riding the most extraordinary creature anyone could ever ride, a dragon.
Now they know, the truth is right in front of them. There’s no one else besides her to lead them. She is the Stallion Who Mounts the World.

I completely agree that it doesn’t feel the same without him. I really liked Stannis. I’m not so sure that he deserved better bc of what he did to his daughter but I still would of liked him to last longer. If only Jon Snow would of taken him up on his offer and fought with him. They would of destroyed the Boltons, he’d be Jon Stark warden of the North and he would of never gotten killed by his night watch brothers

My gut response to this is “awwww”, but I don’t think we’ve seen Arya kill anyone who wasn’t on her List, have we? I welcome correction if I’m mistaken. I figure she’s just really not into killing anybody she hasn’t personally decided deserves it (judge, jury, and executioner). This is why she’s a very crappy servant of The Faceless God (that’s not debatable, her boss just authorized a hit on her). She’s especially not gonna murder somebody like Lady Crane, who does no harm so far as we can see, for as shallow a reason as a jealous co-worker.
Not a character diss, just observing this wasn’t a god her heart was willing to truly serve—nothing wrong with that (unless it means your god’s other followers are gonna wanna kill you instead of just fire you, and I don’t mean “fire you” in the way the lord of light means it).

I am not saying that he would have bin successful, I am just saying that that would have been a way where I could have some respect left for that guy. But as I said, I know he did not have enough support, that's why he had to resort to cowardly backstabbing.

A duel?? This wasn't a matter of honor, it was a matter of survival for them. It was a seizure of power, a coup. With the goal of returning the NW to its rightful mission as they saw it (guarding the realm against uh, wildlings).
If anything, the reason they failed was that they weren't thorough enough. They should have taken out not only Jon but his major allies in one fell swoop, effectively decapitating his faction.
But that would have been many steps too far for the remaining men. They wouldn't have followed Thorne. And no matter what Thorne did, the Wildlings would have rebelled anyway. I think Thorne's rebellion was doomed under any scenario.

About Alliser Thorne: I get that its good to have a strong opinion and fight for it. Even though I think at some point it is important to re evaluate your position, which he should have done at least when Jon returned from the dead, I can somewhot understand that. I even don't mind that he basically killed his lawfully elected commander, since sometimes laws or people are stupid or evil. But what really bothers me is the cowardly way they did it. If he has that strong of a conviction, he should have fought Jon in a duel, or gathered enough support in the Nights watch to basically dispose him and maybe lock him away. But he probably knew he did not had enough support and time would have worked in Jons favor, so the just had to get rid of him. There is no way I can respect that in any way.

Damn Danny's speech was fire. I feel like you guys have been sleeping on Danny and Arya but those were on my love list since season 1. Also Sam's father Randyll Tarly was the only man to defeat Robert Baratheon in battle during his rebellion. This was mentioned during a previous episode.

S&P, I'm curious to know how big you think drogon is compared to the dragons in HOTD? Epic episode with amazing scenes all
a around.
& to your earlier pondering,
Varys was supporting the targ restoration through viserys, not dany. They used her as currency to set viserys up with drogos army. They didn't think dany had much use other than for her body. So only through time of hearing what dany has done in essos, has varys now decided to support her.

When Sam met Bran at the Wall, Sam gave them all dragonglass. To Meera, Sam handed her dragonglass arrow heads and said here these are for the archer. She had a dragonglass dagger or arrowhead attached to the stick she shattered the white walker with.

Good luck trying your hardest to not look for Hodor in the masses of whites for the next couple seasons. We were really worried we’d have to see him in the army of the dead at some point and that would crush us.
