Game of Thrones Uncut Reaction S5 E10 'Mother's Mercy'

Full Length Reaction Guide

We take copyright law very seriously, so you will have to sync up our reaction to your own version of the show/movie. To help, we have a range of guiding tools throughout the reaction to help you sync up with us, including a small snippet of the scene to ensure you are in sync.

Any instances in which you see the screen cut, this means we’ve had technical difficulties or have skipped a potential disruptions/bloopers. This means you will need to sync up your copy of the show again, if we are unable to edit these cuts seamlessly into the next scene. An updated timecode will be provided on the screen.

Anytime we pause, there will be timer/countdown on screen to prompt you. So if we’re about to pause, there’ll be a countdown, and you are expected to pause as the number reaches 0. The same will happen when we press play after pausing. You will press play as the number reaches 0.

These reactions DO NOT include our intros and discussions. You will have to refer to the original edited version of the video.

Here are some popular ways people sync up the reaction with their own copy of the show:

Comments

stannis was a delusional idiot who murdered his own daughter for a throne. He never had balls...he was melissandres puppet. I only wish ramsay flayed him

Mark Laniel

Except Cersei is constantly bitchy to people, she goes after people who hasn't even actively hurt her or anyone she loves/knows (Margaery and Loras), she's super-paranoid and insane. Even Jaime calls her hateful, most other familys aren't exactly hateful, yes the Tyrells murdered Joffrey but I mean, Joffrey was a danger to everyone. Cersei wanted Sansas wolf killed just because she could, along with the butchers boy, and then told Joffrey that the truth is what he makes it, followed by "everyone who isn't us is our enemy". She also, along with Jaime tried having Brann killed twice, with zero remorse. It's the complete lack of remorse, the enjoyment in her own cruelty, her hate against literally everyone and the fact that she's so blinded with"love" for her children that she can't see when she's hurting them too that makes her evil, perhaps not on a Ramsay level, but not too far off. Oh, and she also completely despises the common people, something the Starks never seemed to do. She's actively just an evil bitch. If you've gone 5 seasons seeing her compared to other rulers and say their actions are the same then you havn't paid any attention.

Linus Marjeta

On first watch I found Jon very difficult to deal with, he was spoiled and whiny most of his journey so his death was a relief to me as he was built like a hero character (something I did not want in this show). Imagine my disappointment later, hahah.

Linus Marjeta

Jon: "Sweet, what are we having boys?" Thorne: "Steel!" *stabs* Jon: "W-wow.. Can really taste the iron there..."

Linus Marjeta

Don't call suicide rational.. It's never rational..

Linus Marjeta

"He is the brother to a usurper" Uuuh.. Is that supposed to be a jab at Stannis in any way? Because it isn't.. Stannis had proper claim by the Westeros laws.

Linus Marjeta

It is kinda weird how Spartan is just like “na she’s done bad things I don’t feel bad” but he defends Stannis who burned his own daughter at the stake last episode

Jeremy Garner

Why cant i hear the episode ? I only her you guys 🙂

Fatema alrowaiei

" we shall never see his like again. And now his watch is ended" 😪😪😪

IBRAHIM ALJABOR

Was fascinating seeing Cersei utterly humiliated and broken. She had no idea just how ambitious the High Sparrow was when she gave his faction power. Tywin would have never allowed this. And Jon deserved better than that from his mates.

Nick Wright

Nah, Cersei deserves a lot more than that little stroll she had to take for sure.

Uncle Steve

I talk about the treatment of prisoners, the cruelty and the incitement of open hate - not what you might think of :)

CherryPi

dont listen to them.... if anything they're creating a spoiler here where there was none ... *palms forehead*

ShanB

Can’t say without highlighting it more. Just read what you wrote and think about it. Winds of Winter hasn’t happened yet.

Jai Nelson

Hm, really? All of this has happened, I think. Which part do you consider a spoiler? I can delete that.

CherryPi

100 % right. Season 6 is the GoT pinnacle :)

Cassildias

Pretty sure you slipped a spoiler inside there mate :)

Cassildias

No one but Ramsay deserves to be treated like Ramsay treats people.

Don’tDrinkTheLuminol

She deserves Ramsay treatment.

Jaroslav Dočekal

His claim was definitely more solid than Daenerys' one. He did have the best claim. His brother was a usurper and deserved to die.

Jaroslav Dočekal

S6 is one of my top seasons of Thrones and... arguably 2 of the best episodes of the entire series. Period. If you know you know!

Eve Griffin

I like the series also for its accurate portrayal what blind faith and religious fundamentalism and power can lead to - Melisandra realising her interpretations seem to have been wrong and what suffering she brought because of them, the High Sparrow and his younglings burning for a belief but bringing terror, humiliation and hate into the hearts of people, Stannis trusting in a religious leader, seduced by the possibilities of power it could bring him but destroying everything instead...

CherryPi

For sure chill times ahead in the North, yes siree bob. Esp compared to Dany say That was quite funny speculation to hear on how the ep would go lol😅🙃😶 RIP Jon.

Wyrx

Shhhh. Spoiler. There is no season six. Wink .

Stannis loves grammar.

Season 6 has one of my favourite episodes of all of GOT combined, so hang tight, it's still really really good.

Ghostcat

Yup I agree. I sometimes hated when people start feeling sympathy for her. I was like WHY?? She is a hateful horrible person. Now nobody should experience something like that but she TRULY deserve it.

Pharoess

lmao wtf

Locke

Obviously I wasn’t including context since i felt it was sufficiently covered in the original comment and it doesn’t really change my conclusion anyways. Stannis has unwaveringly pursued his desire for the throne at any cost to the point of sacrificing EVERYTHING. Im not sure what seasons you’re referring to when you say he was explicitly against it… As mentioned, he ruthlessly murdered his own brother, and was callously willing to kill his nephew for his selfish gain with little qualm. There was slightly more context in the of killing shireen since he was desperate and his army was dying but still his driving force has always remained his belief in his “destiny”. Of course his escalating religious fanaticism at the hands of melissandra plays a big role in the degradation of his morality though but even his wife was able to finally break free of that at the 11th hour while he remained steadfast till the end. I don’t hate stannis as a character at all, I think his arc was compelling, complex and very tragic. I was saying that the culmination into this ultimate evil act makes sense and shouldn’t be as shocking as it is. And we are talking about the show not the books lol

Gummybear

you're not factoring in the credits, intro and adds/extra scenes that are added into the video. if you sync up you should be fine from there onward

CpaSpartan Pudgey

That is a messed up religion but Cersei deserved every bit of that atonement. Sorry, but no sympathy here.

David Cansler

I didn’t say she wasn’t evil. I said she is evil because she protects house Lannister, like EVERY other character does.

EVKK15

@Gummybear "People are always shocked that he was willing to cross that final line but he’s never had a problem killing family for his own ambitions " This is removing a lot of context in the show I think lol. Including 2 scenes that explicitly showed he definitely does have a problem with it generally. It's also not accurate at all if you've read the books.

SuddenImpulse

S&P will not be reading this comment and will be deleting it when they have time. Please read and review the spoiler/comment rules we post on each video. Repeat infractions of this nature may lead to an escalation.

SuddenImpulse

Saying 'this is not a spoiler' doesn't make it so 🤦🏿‍♂️ Why did you need to make this comment?

Mzuka

This is a spoiler!! Delete

Gummybear

So true!! People are always shocked that he was willing to cross that final line but he’s never had a problem killing family for his own ambitions

Gummybear

delete this. like Julien said

ADHDubz

forreal, i hate when people try and preface the last seasons for other people. like let them make their own inferences and opinions on the last seasons lol.

ADHDubz

@Sophia: delete this shit

Julien

The showrunners had many talks with GRRM about where the story will be going, including how the series will end, so they didn't entirely fabricate the rest of the show out of their own ideas. I don't know where you got that information but it's just wrong. Of course it will be vastly different to how the books play out, but we can expect many of the main points in the final seasons of the show to resemble what will eventually be released in the books.

Rekway

We need season 6 reaction!!!

Milos

Sofia

It's fascinating how weirded out you were during Cersei's scene. I could read your mixed feelings on your faces lmao. Not that Spartan had sympathy for her which is understandable, but he was still very chocked seeing Cersei in her weakest position. Let's be honest, this woman is an evil bitch who slays being an evil bitch😂 love her so much

HDN

Imagine, this is where book readers were left for years; YEARS. I'm excited to see the reactions for season 6, one of my favorites!

TimTakDoh

I just watched the full length reaction along with the full episode and had no problems.

John Neiberger

Its the better if they did after the show not in the midst of it.

MeanAngel

Episode runtimes include the end credits, brah. And on HBO Max, they also include the post-episode breakdown (and possibly a teaser for the next episode). None of which affect the syncing so I'm thoroughly confused by this complaint.

Julien

It's just so weird. The Full Reaction video has a runtime of an hour and the episode is roughly 70 minutes long (as seen in the video when they pause. However, all scenes are in the video are there. Another thing is that my season 5 episode 10 on WoWTv is also only 60 minutes. Nonetheless, I enjoyed the reaction

Achillis

Are you sure you are watching the full length? I just watched it and had no issues syncing the whole thing.

SuddenImpulse

Why is the full length reaction so much shorter than the actual episode? It's not possible to sync the video with the sound that way

Achillis

Spartan you’re talking about Mellisandra as if she’s the one that gave the orders. She told Stannis what he should do and he blindly followed. He is an example of the blind pursuit of power for a selfish reason. He didn’t care who he killed, his BROTHER, his NEPHEW, his DAUGHTER and consequently his wife. He was “honorable” only in the sense that he fought with his men. He is the brother to a usurper and a kin slayer. His claim on the throne was as solid as the ash of his victims he walked on to try and seat it.

matt

The reason the mom hated her daughter is because she thought she gave her husband a shitty heir, she basically hated herself and took it out on her daughter but when she heard her cry out for her as her daughter, well you can’t push those feelings down forever. Then once they’re up, she has no way to reconcile as she had just killed her only child. So she did the only rational thing.

matt

Finally! This is what we’ve been waiting for!

matt

@Shawn: Well. Since we are insulting others now, let me respond in kind: the stupidity of that statement is only matched by its arrogance. Good and evil are not solely determined by one's body count. A general kills thousands of the enemy AND his own soldiers in defense of his nation against an invasion. A man murders his wife so he could elope with his mistress. Who is more evil? "People who do not posses moral axioms to derive their values from" will naturally say it's the general.

Julien

did you guys see how jon hesitated when he saw the cross? he read the sign wrong. He thought it was pointing to a trattoria. food/restaurant. Jon was diagnosed with dyslexia at maester llyewen school. True fact.

Stannis loves grammar.

after we finish the show!

CpaSpartan Pudgey

Love watching your reactions to big events! Just another loss but you soon pass it as others pick up the mantle as best character!

Andrew Nyberg

"People that do not possess moral axioms to derive their values from and instead rely entirely on emotion are not the right people to be arguing good and evil." O_o

SuddenImpulse

Hahaha so true

Gummybear

@Alex SH multiple times each week. We even had people try to spoil Jon's passing and season 6 events as well.

SuddenImpulse

@Ashleep it got copied over from youtube

SuddenImpulse

People rage quitting the show after Jon's death. Meanwhile GRRM: Rage quits finishing the book series 🤣🤣

Gam Mac

They have justified far worse people Julien and I bet you have as well. Tormund is a mass murderer. Ygritte was another. Khal Drogo and Asha Greyjoy both mass murderers. The Hound and Bronn. These people have done far worse than show Cersei. Yes, Cersei is an evil bitch but the problem is that other people justify and make excuses for characters in this show that have done far worse. People that do not possess moral axioms to derive their values from and instead rely entirely on emotion are not the right people to be arguing good and evil.

Shawn Brink

I feel ill for fans watching this for the first time. I didn't speak to anyone for days. RIP Jon. Don't fret - amazing things still to come in this epic story.

Eve Griffin

No amount of Game of Thrones cynicism can prepare you for... Game of Thrones

Julien

Lmao at this sort of extreme moral relativism. No one is good or bad, there is no good or bad. Nothing matters. Cersei is an evil bitch by any standard of decency. Her walk of atonement was entirely too short.

Julien

I don't really like the defending of how Cersei is treated this episode. Firstly; she has done everything for her family. Like EVERY other character. You can't blame her for doing the same. And then secondly; when you said that she has treated the people horribly, who hasn't? What ruler hasn't? I can't think of one.

EVKK15

I don't think so unfortunately

Shellbot

I would love for you guys to react to Honest Trailers GoT vol 1 and 2 ,at this point its the GoT watching experience

JonYellowSnow

Good, bad, ugly - amazing how GOT packs SO much into an episode - not a single dull moment! Would you both (independently) rank your seasons from best to worst now that you have finished season 5? Great reaction guys!

flink

Is "upvoting" a thing on Patreon?

Ashleep

Accidentally and some purposefully unfortunately.

Shellbot

No way, this was needed right? Are people really spoiling by accident?

Alex sh

And now his watch has ended…❄️
