I’m telling you, most of these complaints wouldn’t have happened if it weren’t for Hardhome as the next episode. And as far as those other YouTube creators are concerned, most people are not Patreons, but instead wait for certain months to subscribe and watch it all at once. I did that with Blindwave. Once a week is not worth it if it’s only one show I’m interested in. But that’s the point. People subscribed thinking that they paid for consistent episodes of 2-3/week, not once a week.

I'm a little surprised that some are disappointed in the content output. I've also watched and been a Patron to a LOT of reactors and honestly most of them only uploaded 1 episode per week. Maybe they would be reacting to more shows at a time but it's rare for me to care about more than 1 show a channel is watching anyway. I'd love for some of these commenters to point me to the channels they're watching that upload more and can compare to the quality of these reactions (genuinely would love to find more). Maybe we just watched different people or something but I've been a Patron to plenty of channels that uploaded less frequently and had weaker reactions. I'll admit I was bummed last break you guys took (mainly because it happened right after I pledged) but I felt like it was made up for with more content upon return.

Lol exactly. I subbed to someone last year who was dropping episodes every day, but that was because she was racing to finish before HOTD started. That was extremely lucky! In my experience, creators are considerably LESS consistent than S&P have been. I'm subbed to people who will release two episodes in a row, and then the third one in like 3 weeks - all without any warning. S&P put out 2-3 episodes a week, *consistently*. Ok, for one week, it's gonna be a single episode. And they warn us in advance. Cue: "whaaaaaaaaaaaaaa" Ridiculous.

I dont think people realise an average GoT episode takes 1.5h to record and 5-8 hours to edit. given we manage another show and recently had a 3rd show, as well as a lot of behind the scenes work people dont see AND working 2 jobs (until now) we cannot upload much faster than we do with our man power. this is precicely why our recent announcement stated we are looking for an editor to help us out so we are in the position to produce more GoT content overall. we appreciate everyones patience and support 😊

This is very much the building phase of the channel so there has been a lot of interruptions.... especially with have 2 jobs. It's very much been just trying to keep up with our schedule, rather than being ahead. Now that we are full time, this can change.

I gotta say it is annoying they’re taking a break without giving us content for the week (which we know its already been filmed) while we’re right at the end of season 5 of GoT where things always get juicy as we know. But in their defense, they don’t take breaks often. We told people very much in advance that we will be taking that time off and set the expectation that there woildnt be any content. It was up to the individual to decide if they would support us that month or not. We understand other creators might plan ahead to still have uploads (which we did... although they are reduced) but we can only do so many edits in a week to cover that current week and the following week. There is a lot more than editing to this job that a lot of you don't get to see. As per our previous post, we are looking at getting some editors to help us out with the load. This will assist with planning ahead when we take breaks. But just know, to have any kind of uploads here on Patreon or YouTube.... there is still work involved that we have to attend to... even if we are on "holiday" or "break". Therefore, although we strive to have content ready in the future... there will be times with no content. We will always be transparent. We do appreciate everyone's support and are forever grateful at how amazing and understanding the community has been! Please just remember how hard we are working on our end... and that not every situation is a clear cut as it seems. 💜❤️

I haven't seen anyone being disrespectful, rude or negative. I think people should be allowed to voice their opinions without being called negative. I personally said that I really enjoy them and that I think they are allowed to take breaks, but that I think they should plan ahead for this in the future. For some people, the price for being a member is nothing, but for others it's a lot of money. Most people still want to support them, because they really enjoy the content, but last time they took a break they were gone for 3 weeks, with no content, and people still paid full price. I personally don't care but this may be useful for future reference: more than anything, I think it's the *timing* of this announcement that has some people riled up. It comes after a noticeable slowdown, was dropped *in lieu* of an upload, and also before the end run of the season. People were expecting GOT today, and instead got this. I think if you'd announced this stuff immediately after an upload (i e., right after ep 7) instead of as a replacement for today's upload, it would have gone over better. Just a thought...

I will admit I don't get this mindset. $8.5 is the price of a beer at my local bar. It's gone in minutes. For that same amount, we get anywhere from 8-12 GOT reactions, which comes out to $1 per video *at most.* It's wild to me that anyone would "feel duped" because for one month, they get maybe two fewer vids than usual. I think complaints like these are really just about eagerness to watch. Basically, people are disappointed that they have to wait. Which is understandable! But instead of just saying that, they frame it in terms of money. It's kinda fucked up.

Well to be fair, they are always very communicative about their creative process and if I'm not mistaken both have full time jobs on top of the content they record and put out. (a lot of creators only put out one reaction video per show a week and we get multiple episodes, sometimes more than two a show). Also, this stuff takes a loooong time and when holidays and family things come up, I think that takes priority. When they don't have those kinds of things to do, I think they're very consistent. Everyone knows that come winter/spring months (in most places) holidays and things tend to occur more often. They're also getting ready to start doing things differently as they're going full time for content creating so I think them taking a break before that kicks off is fine. I do understand your viewpoint though as a paying viewer. I just personally, choose to cut them some slack considering they're usually consitent and they engage with us a lot to keep us in the loop. Not something I can say for a lot of creators.

I’m kind of glad this break is coming now. Because you guys tend to take a break after each season. And season 5 is quite a lot of action so for me this is much better then a break after episode 10. Because season 6 is my favorite. Going from 5 X 10 to 6 X 1 with no break vs going from 5x8 to 5 x 9 is great for me! Because usually episode 10 and episode 1 are very exciting. I’m sure not everyone agrees with that. It’s just my personal opinion. Happy Easter

I don't mean to sound negative, but with the price we pay on patreon (i have never had to pay this much for any other creators on patreaon, and that's just to get early access), you do seem to take breaks often. Of course, there's nothing wrong with taking breaks, but other creators usually plan ahead and film some extra videos, so ppl can still get videos while they're on their break. I think you should start to plan for this in the future, so ppl don't feel like they're getting duped.
