When I first watched this episode, for a moment I really thought Longshot was going for a mercy kill for Jet in the end. But then I realized that this aired on Nickelodeon and they wouldnt put something that dark on there, lol

2023-09-29 18:01:45 +0000 UTCI mean if the episodes weren’t forced to be less than 25min long, the writers would have definitely extended the emotional scenes in this show and done more with them. The fact that each episode is very limited in time and the emotional scenes still pack a punch speaks to the capability of the writers.

2023-03-24 06:23:25 +0000 UTCIroh's conversation with Zuko had a much better outcome than I expected. Until now the norm has always been Iroh calmly advising Zuko, but Zuko does what he wants anyway. But this time, Iroh did not relent and his words actually seemed to strike a chord within Zuko. We've come so far now. From Zuko rescuing Aang, abdicating his allegiance to the Fire Nation, separating from Iroh, helping strangers against bullies, and now leaving the identity of the blue spirit and the one goal he has known for a long time behind. I'm excited for what Zuko's future holds for him now. This isnt a spoiler as its never mentioned in the show, but Jet did die. Its a Nickelodeon show so they cant say he died, but Long Feng did say, “youve chosen your own demise” Demise means death so yeah. Jet's death is nothing less than a tragedy. Whomever he was, he was a person shaped by war and loss. Though his morals were amiss when we met him in the forest; In the end, he still fought for the right reasons side by side with the Avatar which is enough to redeem him in my eyes.
