we love her as a villain, but loving a villain is hating them in the world within the show haha. We agree she is no doubt a victim of a terrible childhood. However it is easier to have moments where we love the other characters you mentioned because they either take out characters we hate or side with ones we love at SOME point in the show. Whereas Cersei literally plays against everyone we love the entire time and rarely has a nice moment. We liked her when she had a small moment with Tyrion in S2 but then she threw him under the bus again after. Jamie is devoted to her and she tosses him out too. It's hard to sympathise with her when she continually hates any character that we like and treats everyone terribly. anyway she's a great villain if we hate her, no arguments there. hope that helps understand our view a little better

2023-03-26 23:27:44 +0000 UTCHow come the Hounds past and upbringing rehabilitates him in your eyes, how come Littlefinger’s crazy grants him admiration, and Tywin’s ruthlessness makes him a boss, but Cersei gets no grace. She lost her mother at 12, her father hated Tyrion and blamed him for his mother’s death so thats what she learned. Tywin sold her to Robert, who beat her, ignored her and openly loved another woman. She was not educated like Tyrion, she wasn’t a fighter like Jaime, her anger, her hatred, her rage is understandable. She was discarded and alone. All she had was Jaime. So she learned to be cunning and brazen. She is one of the best, if not the best, villains ever created. And yet, its all hate from you guys. And didn’t you both once say you loved complicated villains?
