Spartan almost tearing up to avatar is the highlight of my day 😄

This episode is easily one of the best Katara episodes. She was literally the only thing holding everyone together.

TELL ME WHERE APPA IS

Eshwar Tangirala

Yea lol she never disliked Appa, she was just mad in that moment because he was leaving the trail.

Eshwar Tangirala

you MUZZLED appa?!?!

Locke

Im sorry pudgey, you been right in alot of things but not on this one. Togh and appa relationship is not a problem. You said she doesn't like appa. That Not the case. She knew the problem when they were getting chased. So she just told the team what was going on. Aang was just mad and angry so he thought it was togh that didn't care about him. But NO. Togh actually wanted to help appa!! But she couldn't she even said it in a very sad way 🥺"im sorry appa" when they took him.

the final scene in this episode shows the bond between aang and katara thus far, and fueled the ka-tang (aang and katara) vs zatara (zuko and katara) shipping wars that went on and still goes on in the community

I can't wait for The Tales of Ba Sing Se. You're going to love it!

Roma

Season two is only just beginning to pick up in intensity. The rest of this season and beyond has soooo much in store, can’t wait for your reactions!!

Yes watching previews for shows is generally a bad idea unless one feels its really necessary because they are often very sloppily done and give away big plot elements of the episode about to be watched, unfortunately. This extends to a lot of shows not just this one.

The solar eclipse thing isn’t supposed to be a “will it work?” thing, Sokka found records of it happening before to the fire nation, thus the title of “the darkest day in fire nation history”. It’s a legit thing that they found out to help them it’s not a ‘potential’

I love that Katara was the glue that held everybody together this episode. The final scene with Aang always gets me. Appa really means everything to Aang

Cyan

I cried at the end of this episode. Aang and Apa have been together since day one. He's Aangs oldest and closest best friend. Being that he is the last airbender, him and Apa at connected more than we realized. Losing Apa breaks my heart. The GAang now doesn't have any transportation.

I don’t know if anyone else has mentioned this but I think you guys should skip the “previously on Avatar” section at the beginning if you don’t already because sometimes they can actually spoil what happens in the episode. For example, they would show a clip from an older episode and you’d automatically know that specific storyline would be coming up again. I think it would be best to avoid it. If not for every episode, then maybe for specific ones. Anyone else agree?

“It’ll quench ya!” A necessary moment of levity in an objectively heavy episode

Brittany Proffitt

Appa is also Aang’s best friend and all he had left that connected him to his home and his people. Which is why he is hurting so much. Katara is the only one that can calm Aang down when he’s in rage like that and she just saw this coming and prepared for it. Really loved Katara here, she absolutely carried the episode. Great reaction 👍

Daniel

I love how they depict Aangs anger here. Aang believes all life is sacred. Him killing this vulture wasp in the air goes to show how mad he is.
