Full Length Reaction Guide
We take copyright law very seriously, so you will have to sync up our reaction to your own version of the show/movie. To help, we have a range of guiding tools throughout the reaction to help you sync up with us, including a small snippet of the scene to ensure you are in sync.
Any instances in which you see the screen cut, this means we’ve had technical difficulties or have skipped a potential disruptions/bloopers. This means you will need to sync up your copy of the show again, if we are unable to edit these cuts seamlessly into the next scene. An updated timecode will be provided on the screen.
Anytime we pause, there will be timer/countdown on screen to prompt you. So if we’re about to pause, there’ll be a countdown, and you are expected to pause as the number reaches 0. The same will happen when we press play after pausing. You will press play as the number reaches 0.
These reactions DO NOT include our intros and discussions. You will have to refer to the original edited version of the video.

It's laid out how it's laid out in the game, if you play chronologically including the DLC. They had to put this here because it parallels with he present situation.

I liked ep 3 more, but Bella's performance made this ep very special for the reasons you said. As the ep progressed, I stopped waiting for the infected and instead, waited for whether Ellie would have the courage to tell Riley how she really feels. The infected became a "bonus" source of tension almost if you will. Sure, a slower ep, but I liked it regardless. Especially how they tied all of this together with Joel and Ellie - this was "Riley's letter" to Ellie. Really loved the parallels and the mirroring to Joel and then of course to ep 3.

This episode depicts the single best, most thoughtful, most elaborate date I have ever seen onscreen. And the best depiction of yearning and unspoken love I've seen in a long time.
Oh initially I agreed w the consensus: slower, and so tense knowing the ending that you couldn't really enjoy it and were just waiting for the infected's appearance. But when I rewatched it, I was able to relax and appreciate the episode for what it was. It's a date, a declaration of love, a tragic love story.
I suspected Ellie liked Riley when she wouldn't undress in front of her, or when she asked with wonder and hope "you planned stuff?" before they went down the escalator. Or when she "accidentally" bumped into Riley on the escalator. I knew 100% when she nervously fixed her hair in the Vitoria Secret window. And the way she gazed at Riley on the carousel when she wasn't looking? Such intense longing and yearning.
My heart is broken for Riley. To plan such an extraordinarily wonderful thing for your love and have it turn so catastrophically wrong that it kills the person you did this for. You give someone a thoughtful, lovingly planned gift... and it explodes in their face. In Riley's mind, she killed Ellie by bring her there. Her "I'm sorry, I'm sorry" broke my heart. How I wish I could tell her that Ellie is gonna be fine!
I loved this episode, yes, probably more than Long Long Time. I realize it's a minority opinion.

Thanks guys. I was disappointed with this one, they messed the pacing up again in my opinion. The emotional payoffs were decent though.

Aww, Joel was going to be one of those sewage workers (the last gig he signed up for). Imagine Riley being there supervising him. I loved how Joel and Ellie held hands at the end, this ep had nice parallels.
