Game of Thrones Uncut Reaction S4 E6 'The Laws of Gods and Men'

Full Length Reaction Guide

We take copyright law very seriously, so you will have to sync up our reaction to your own version of the show/movie. To help, we have a range of guiding tools throughout the reaction to help you sync up with us, including a small snippet of the scene to ensure you are in sync.

Any instances in which you see the screen cut, this means we’ve had technical difficulties or have skipped a potential disruptions/bloopers. This means you will need to sync up your copy of the show again, if we are unable to edit these cuts seamlessly into the next scene. An updated timecode will be provided on the screen.

Anytime we pause, there will be timer/countdown on screen to prompt you. So if we’re about to pause, there’ll be a countdown, and you are expected to pause as the number reaches 0. The same will happen when we press play after pausing. You will press play as the number reaches 0.

These reactions DO NOT include our intros and discussions. You will have to refer to the original edited version of the video.

We hope you enjoy the video!

Wow theres no audio in uncut, why did i even buy this, why did you not put audio

@Rey The danger at the night's watch is within the night's watch. When Tyrion warned Jon about it he was referring to his "brothers", a gang of thieves and murderers (who would 100% gang up on Tyrion), not to any external threat. But I get your point, I can't say that his reaction was calculated, it was an outburst that could eventually end his life.

HDN

@Rey Jr yeah Tyrion would never have been put into the rangers.

SuddenImpulse

@Jenny Tolls I wasn't personally saying whether he screwed up or not, I was speaking form the standpoint of the characters. That said, what he did here was a MASSIVE gamble on his life that, frankly, has a higher chance of causing him to lose his life than not. Outside of that, its up for debate whether or not it was a smart decision.

SuddenImpulse

jjjjj

JAKECharlesCRK

@HDN come on. Not everybody is a fighter in the nights watch. He would have been a steward or something like that. Or an advisor like Aemon. And Trial by combat is not 50/50. It depends on the match up

Rey Jr

Of course he could survive in the Night’s Watch. He would be a steward and primary advisor to any lord commander with the good sense to overlook his physique and recognize his tremendous intellect. Tyrion would be a huge asset at the wall or frankly anywhere.

Julien

@Rey how could Tyrion possibly survive the nights watch. Besides, taking the black = ending his life for a crime he didn't commit. A trial by combat offers a 50/50 chance at least.

HDN

Nah Tyrion screwed up. He could have ended at the nights watch with Jon. Now he doesn’t even know if he survives the trial by combat.

Rey Jr

I also think that she did not think that Tyrion would get a death penalty

Rey Jr

i also like to think that tywin/cersei got to her and probably threatened to torture/kill her if she didn't testify

Locke

Nah Tyrion didn’t screw up, he knew the cards were already stacked against him. He had to let all that out. He needed that.

Jenny Tolls

Everything Tywin does is golden, his absolute record speed in granting Jaime’s request and the little smirk he gives himself after Jaime leaves is what does it for me

matt

Tywin's absolutely FUMING face at Tyrion during his outburst never gets old for me. Also when Tyrion says he wants to confess, Jaime's face says it all. He knows his brother. He knows what state he is in after Shae, he can tell from his voice. Jaime's face says everything. It says "oh god Tyrion is absolutely going to screw up this backroom deal in a massively colossal way." Fantastic acting from everyone involved in these scenes.

SuddenImpulse

It makes sense in the show, it just doesn't transition as smoothly. She loved him, she felt betrayed and heartbroken (even if it was silly) and her reaction was to take it to the extreme/enact revenge.

SuddenImpulse

ahh fellow book reader! it’s asha not yara ❤️

kallista

Yeah, it was very valid her emotions and betrayal after the way he pushed her away(for her safety but love makes people do dumb, hurtful shit.)

TimTakDoh

She hated him after he called her a whore. It’s really that simple she loved him before he dumped her.

*Yara

Ella

Ramsay had to fight his way to the kennels. There were more ironborn than those who were with Asha.

Shawn Brink

The only thing more pathetic than being Littlefinger, is murdering your family because you want to screw Littlefinger

Kate

Tyrion's trial was amazing and the ending with Tywin and Tyrion staring at each other. Amazing acting.

EVKK15

Yes I get that, but that's why the scene from this episode doesn't make a lot of sense. She loved him but she lied against him in court? They had to follow the book's plot but kinda forgot how they built her character in the show.

Steffen Eide

The Shae in the show is different than the Shae in the books. She had a chance to leave when Varys gave her the diamonds. She really loved Tyrion.

Robert L

Tyrion just KILLED that scene at the end. I'd watch 10 seasons of Tywin-Tyrion rivalry and wouldn't complain a sec.

HDN

I believe GRRM confirmed that Shae was only ever in it for the money. It doesn't really come across that way in the show, but it explains better how she behaves in this episode.

Steffen Eide

Another epic moment crossed off my list. Was waiting to see the reaction to this one for a while. Keep up the good work with great content <3

Yeah, Tywin fooled Jaime into it. Well played, once again (you can see Jaime smiling to himself when he realized how his father played this perfectly).
