lol i don't think they were trying to pressure her into reacting a certain way. it's just very known that pudgey wears her heart on her sleeve. it's not as if they said "pudgey needed to cry more during the brothers talking and the ellie talking scene"

2023-02-26 01:30:01 +0000 UTCOkay, good to know about the trianglulation, but agree that it seems unlikely that many other people would be monitoring and be able to trace a really short message. Also, I'm just thinking that the radio would most likely be monitored 24/7 so no way for Tommy to sneak off a message. Minor quibble and I'm only a little harder/critical on this show because it's so good I kinda want it to be perfect.

2023-02-24 20:16:22 +0000 UTCMaybe the show didn't address this as much as it should've, but Tommy and Joel left on bad terms. They're obviously happy to see each other because they're brothers, but they are still aware of the conflicts they had in the past. In the game, same as the show, they are happy to see each other again, but when they have their alone time you can see that Tommy still resents him a bit (a very small bit, but noticeable in their conversation) for what they went through. In the show they don't show that resentment that much.

2023-02-23 03:53:46 +0000 UTCHAM radio signals can be tracked. Anything that transmits a radio signal can be traced through triangulation/directional antennas, it just depends. HAM radios don't have any security features to prevent this, the real question is how likely is it someone will bother to track the signal. In fact, its actually a game among some radio enthusiasts called "fox hunting".

You can't trace a HAM radio signal, as far as I know so, unless he was just still mad at Joel and what they'd done/been through, Tommy could have absolutely sent one last message saying he was okay without giving the location away. Oh, well, still loving the series and the Pudgey cry counter!

Joel's reaction to seeing him was like 'Omg, he's okay, he's okay, I found him, my baby brother is alive' - and then a bit later Tommy is all 'Bummer about those rules, man'. I wanted to punch him for Joel. Joel, who already before the mayhem in ep 1 was getting him out of trouble etc... Argh! This show is far too realistic character-wise... Brilliant ep once again, definitely my favourite so far. Speaking of, everything about Joel and Ellie is just perfection. Pedro and Bella are them. Can't wait for the rest of the season.
