Game of Thrones 4x5 Reaction & Review

Comments

Jojen's scene when Meera asks about their future and "the end" is one of my favorites of the series. It's shot so beautifully & the actor is fantastic. Such a sense of foreboding, Jojen's vision of the fire & predicting Karl's end. Season 4 is amazing. Poor Sansa is on a Westeros World Tour of Weirdos & Psychos. As soon as she escapes one maniac she's in the clutches of another.

Robin Lee Melendez

as she should. its the greatest house

Locke

Love how much you guys are loving Jon 🥰 also ngl Pudgey you’re starting to sound pretty much like a House Lannister stan, maybe Spartan is right…

Julie

this is hilariously accurate

Julie

Lol when yall talk about your love lists... Spartan has a type 🤣 And I'm sorry but Lysa ALWAYS looks like her breath smells like sour milk IDK IDK

kelly

Yep he knew the lannisters would kill Ned. And then Cat is free to be with little finger

I❤️movies&tvshows

He couldn’t kill Ned in winter fell but he could set him up to be killed in kings landing.

I❤️movies&tvshows

Little finger did all that so Robert would name Ned his hand. Little finger wanted to have Ned killed so he could have Cat to himself. That’s why he came to her with Ned’s bones and tried to get with her in Renlys camp. That was his whole plan. He always loved Cat deeply.

I❤️movies&tvshows

Basically Littlefinger started the war of the five kings, he convinced Lisa to poison her husband that he’ll then Mary her, and then told her to write her sister that it was the lanisters that killed Jon (the hand). After Jon died Rob needed a new hand which was why he came to Winterfell and so on. Basically it was all Littlefinger

Bahd Boy

How did they forget Locke’s whole mission 🤣

umu

It's more exposed after Joffrey's death. Even though her attitude this episode has more to it than simple vulnerability.

HDN

Locke's death is more satisfying knowing he failed the Bolton's plan to stop the Starks. The fact that Bran+Hodor rekt him makes it a very good kill.

Danny

"Jon is always mumbling about and getting schooled..." Spartan, I don't know if you realize how important your insight is. The difference between Robb and Jon is that Robb got thrust into leadership without getting schooled. He didn't learn certain important lessons about leadership. Jon getting schooled is what is making him a better leader than Robb. Jon is learning from mistakes. Robb never got that chance.

David Thomas

I wouldn’t say Cersei changed completely. She always had this vulnerable side.

Rey Jr

Lysa’s letter was before bran was attacked with the dagger. It was in the first episode of the whole series basically saying Jon Arryn was murdered and she suspected the lannisters were responsible…

Lynda Olson

she is a bit toft. i think thats aussie. i might be wrong.

Stannis loves grammar.

one of the best lines in a long list. when varys calls the iron throne the lysa aran of chairs.

Stannis loves grammar.

Locke was sent by Roose Bolton in episode 2 to kill Bran.

Dani

That little black and white flash back moment was so funny, and I was literally thinking about those times every time you were rooting in favour of Locke

Sean van Hengel

The last stretch of the season is so good. Spartan and Pudgey have to do a season rankings after the finale.

Alex

"If I lose him I'll probably just give up on life" :D You guys never fail to make me laugh, really enjoy your reactions. Good stuff as always, thank you. :)

neutchain

Peter hadn’t married Lysa years ago but he had slept with her that’s the “wedding night” Lysa was talking about

Tayyib Majumder

my mother had curls like that

Locke

“CHAOS IS A LADDER” by inciting conflict between 2 of the greatest houses in Westeros Littlefinger can climb up the ranks

Tayyib Majumder

Omg this is still going on??

Julien

It's interesting that Tyrion is her favorite and Jon Snow is his because they are my favorites as well! I really relate to both of them in a lot of ways. Especially Jon, he's actually just like me.

Jenny Tolls

Littlefinger wanted the Lannisters and Starks to fight that's why he did it.

Valcor

Who would Locke negotiate with? Idk maybe the Bolton's who would do anything to kill Bran lol. That's why Locke is there to bring him to Lord Bolton.

Valcor

Loved seeing your faces when Lady Arryn said everything. Takes a while to process how much of this show's events are Littlefinger's fault.

Steffen Eide

Petyr is just a snake. He is so untrustworthy.

Eddie House

He’s so single-minded and ambitious it’s scary. I doubt he would change a thing in hindsight still, which is wild. Literally if “gain the whole world, but lose your soul” was a person

girl gal

Guys, some episodes ago Ramsay or Lord Bolton sent Locke to the North to find Bran. He was never a good guy XD

Ricky

Fun fact the actor for tommen was killed as the lanister squire by lord karstark if you remember in season 3

Halofan117 Halofan

Lysa and Little Finger’s conversation was such a jaw dropping moment. You realize just how right Varys is for fearing him. It’s so wild because no one else suspects him to be such a major player. A snake in the grass🐍 Also Go Pudgey for listening to the little voice reminding you Locke was an op. Fantastic as always y’all!

girl gal

Aahhh I was so pumped for Spartan's reaction to Jon's rescue :D as a few have already said, Locke is a Bolton man and was at the wall for the sole purpose of getting Bran, he was tasked this in the same scene Ramsay has Theon shave him in front of his father. Also I'm pretty sure Lysa just means she and Littlefinger have slept together when she says they "already had their wedding night"

kkoe

yeah I think their reaction shows they definitely got the significance haha

kkoe

Great reaction guys. A few things: It's pretty much confirmed in this episode that Baelish started the game of thrones. He was the inciting incident that got the story going. Why? Because as Baelish has said, he wants chaos all around him, so he can take advantage of it and get more power. And if you recall, Lady Arryn refused to send her army to help Robb, it was probably on orders from Baelish. When Lady Arryn says she and Baelish had their wedding night years ago, I'm pretty sure she's just saying they've been having sex for years, not that they actually officially married. When it comes to Lady Arryns decision making, just know she loves and is obsessed with Baelish. As a few others have said, Locke went to the nights watch on Lord Bolton's orders to find out if Jon was hiding Bran and Rickon. He was never truly joining the nights watch, he was there on a mission from Bolton. So had he lived, he would've taken Bran to Lord Bolton.

Marcell

There are a few inspired moments in the early seasons. All in all though...

Mzuka

Don’t ever let people tell you the books are always better than show.

Robert L

The true epic struggle is that between House Pudgey and House Spartan! Both scored some points today.

What Tywin tells Cersei (about their mines not producing anymore gold) is a pretty big deal. The whole Lannister power comes from their wealth, alongside Tywin's cleverness. So now they are indebted to the teeth + they need the Tyrells on their side, both to have their financial support and to ensure they do not challenge them. This gets us back to Varys's riddle: "Power resides where men believe it resides". The Lannisters rule under the umbrella of wealth and gold (alongside fear), yet they don't actually have it anymore. what they have is people's perception of them, "the wealthiest house in Westeros".

HDN

I forgot how cool Karl was as a villain. He was a fookin legend.

Robert L

Hope you got the significance of the Little finger and Lysa's secret. All the wars and killings happened after that can point to that. Like he said in an early episode, for Little Finger, caos is a ladder. Evil man.

Dname

"Chaos is a ladder"

Jermaine Lee

Littlefinger essentially found out about Jaime and Cersei and used that knowledge to its maximum potential and it led to the start of another war. He was also the one that told Cat it was Tyrion who sent Bran's assassin. I wonder if even he was surprised by how much everything escalated because as immoral as he is, I don't think he expected it to eventually lead to Catelyn's death.

Munir

It took me awhile to get over him as well

Jenny Tolls

I love Jojen's quote in this episode "I saw you die tonight. I saw your body burn, I saw the SNOW fall and bury your bones."

Karli Mac

They are gonna be talking about Rob for the next 4 season lol

Tae Kellz

The second half of this season is probably my favorite stretch of the show.
