All of them. Not just The Boulder. From NES days, you got Mike Tyson's Punch-Out with King Hippo, you got Mexican Lucha Libre masks, you got what is commonly called a "heel" which is someone who is easy for the audience to root against (Fire Nation Man is not Fire Nation, merely an Earth Kingdom citizen who is portraying one for the "heel" effect)... This whole episode is an homage to professional wrestling. I don't believe its a parody as there is no ill intent, there's merely displaying all that the creators' loved about the concept of wrestling for entertainment.

The Boulder is an excellent play on what it would be like if Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson was in the avatar universe. I love that the writers put him in here. It’s great.
