Game of Thrones 4x2 Reaction & Review

Comments

Everyone would have loved for Joffrey to go out in a slower, much more painful manner. But GRRM tries to be as realistic as possible, which is one of the things that make him a great writer (and what sometimes makes his work hard to read/watch). It would be nearly impossible to kill a king in a more satisfying way, except maybe through actual war. It's more realistic for a king to be assassinated using poison or something

Binusi

He might have just been shocked by how grotesque his death was. Tywin definitely didn’t like Joffrey but even he was shocked by his death.

Jenny Tolls

Thank you guys, your reaction is one among the best. I really enjoy your reaction. You will enjoy season 4 every next episode is better than the previous one.

IBRAHIM ALJABOR

43:25 the hymen maneuver LMFAOOO

Locke

Joffrey was 19 or almost 19.

N_JR

Joffrey was actually 19 in this episode

N_JR

I completely agree

Rey Jr

I only realised half way through aswell lol. Loved Pudgeys reaction, but it's a shame Spartan wasn't enjoying it and was just confused lol.

Valcor

Underwhelming? Going out easy? Lol how did he go out easy? He was in extreme pain his face was literally purple. It's not like he took sleeping pills and drifted off to sleep he was choking on his own blood.

Valcor

Buckle up. This is just episode 2!

Brad Johnson

Pudgey, Margaery technically never was a queen because both of her 2 marriages were not consumeded. Cersie still the queen regent

IBRAHIM ALJABOR

This train wreck is about to pick up speed.

Ludus Aurea

Buh bye Joffrey

David Cansler

pause the video at 37:53..... THAT my friends is worth the price of of a Demi God Membership. :)

Augustine Lee

He did care about Joffrey, in a complicated way. There is true pain and shock on Jaime's face when Joffrey is dying.

SuddenImpulse

Would explaining the succession be a spoiler?

Juan

y'all are happy at a 14 y.o dying????? jk I was too. Great actor.

Juan

I highly doubt Jaime had any affection for Joffrey. I know I wouldn't if he was my son. I wouldn't care if he got poisoned.

Jenny Tolls

I also always feel bad for Jamie in this episode- Joffrey is a pos, but that is his son, and he can’t even grieve like a father

Brittany Proffitt

OMG I totally forgot this was that episode until about halfway through! Pudgey's delighted reaction was hilarious.

HeyHeyJK

Your faces at the moment are just hilarious :D

CherryPi

Pudgey your hair looks super pretty in your reaction!

SnorlaX

True. He doesn’t like Tyrion at all. He just defends him sometimes because of the Lannister name

Rey Jr

One of the only times we see Tywin not on top of things, as he was just as shocked as anyone else. And he hides his distaste for Tyrion better than Cersei does, but it's still very much there. He'll only defend Tyrion from other houses, when HIS name is being threatened. I couldn't see him defending Tyrion from Cersei even if Tyrion was in the right.

Munir

Art imitating life. Henry the 1st of England famously died choking on a plate of cooked eels.

Evilsponge

To know how the succession of Jeoffrey would work, you just have to look at King Roberts succession. If Jeoffrey is not a son of Robert, i.e. Robert has no true son, who would succeed him? Was it Cersei his wife or someone else? The clues are all there.

fritz

Spartan - "we've waited so long for this moment", Me, after waiting FOUR LONG YEARS "..............excuse me?"

Hayden King

The infamous “Hymen Maneuver” LOL , love it!

Jon Musen

Idk I think they just got mean/scary vibes from his intro. They also didn’t like how he talked down on Tyrion. There’s always a chance their perspective shifts later on

Chad-gon Targaryen

Anyone watching The Last of Us, I have a question (but please don't spoil too much cause I haven't started watching it yet): Is Pedro Pascal an evil character in the last of us? I'm trying to understand where S&P got the feeling that Oberyn was a cruel figure, i don't remember having this first impression when we met him back when the show aired.

HDN

The smiles on their faces lmfaoooo love it

Anna J

Yeah. I thought Joffreys death was very well executed.

Rey Jr

Yeah Oberyn is sharp as hell. But I am not sure if Tywin gives a crap about Myrcella. So I am not sure he was in fear. But well played from Oberyn. Always nice to see Cersei getting put in place

Rey Jr

I liked their reaction. They were not even really shocked. More like oh shit is this really finally happening😂

Rey Jr

Love this episode and the reaction Oberyns scene with Tywin and Cersei is perfect. For 4 seasons you grow so used to those two dominating rooms and conversations but Oberyn destroys the pair of them. And mentioning Myrcella right after reminding them what happened to his niece and nephew is the best subtle threat, you can see the genuine shock/fear on both their faces. And Joffreys death was underwhelming but the fact Cersei had to watch it slightly makes up for it

Ser Bronn

Lol

Bri Gioia

What a banger of an episode. Who could have seen Joffrey being killed that randomly in an episode 2

Rey Jr

I would not say he got away so easily. His death was terrible. Minutes of pain and not knowing what happens.

Rey Jr

I mean they are Lannisters.

Roy Koopa

The hymen manoeuvre. Amazing.

Roy Koopa

Happy to see that big smile on your face at the end of the episode.

fritz

Tommen

Cassandra

Phillip

What I find interesting about this episode is how it gives you a moment of joy for like a few seconds, but then instantly takes it away when Tyrion is accused (regardless of whether he did it or not) and he now has to deal with Cersei seeking justice

Steffen Eide

On 13th April 2014, tens of millions of people celebrated the death of a child with a standing ovation! :) I raise my hat and bow before Jack Gleeson ( Jeoffrey) for bringing to life such a universally hated character (damn the writing was so good ) with his masterful acting. That dude killed his role despite his young age.

neutchain

Loved your reactions! The Purple Wedding - where Joffrey turns purple! There are subtle things that showed us what really happened. Well, at least we didn't cry at this wedding...this was a win. Some people may have thought that Joffrey's death was underwhelming. They wanted to pull his finger- and toenails out, gauged his eyes out, cut off his limbs and feed them to him. But when you really think about it, no death is gruesome enough for Joffrey, Him turning purple and shaking in pain is just fine and will have to do.

Jontor11

the actor who plays Joffrey is wonderful

Ziltoidia

I was so excited to see your reaction for this one. This episode finally gives a win after losing so many favorite characters!

E10

Yeah that was a truly despicable moment. Really shows, once again, her utter contempt for the smallfolk.

SuddenImpulse

Anyone can die, got it yet? 😂😂 Every time Cerci comes in they both fold their arms and bitch about her. 😂😂 Also, definitely not the hymen manoeuvre. That’s an entirely different thing 😂😂😂 Just gold 👌

Daryl

Lol I don't think Jamie wants anything to do with Joffrey's hymen lmao

Christopher

The Purple Wedding! Hooray!

Christopher

yes! more than i expected for sure

Julie

The utter confusion on Spartan's face and pure happiness on Pudgey's face killed me LMAO Yes for some reason Cersei deciding that the leftover food would go to the dogs, after knowing the whole country is suffering and starved just for her to get a one up on Margaery, is the moment I realized I would hate her forever. Unnecessary cruelty. I appreciate your love and sympathy for Theon a lot, definitely more than another other reactors especially at this moment.

Julie

I loved this reaction: Pudgey is over the moon and Spartan looked horrified (of the injustice of Joff getting away 'so easily' but still). :D Btw, I saw a comment once somewhere on Youtube that wouldn't it have been epic if Bronn and Robert Baratheon had met and I'm laughing every time I think about it - those two would have been too awesome to bear. :D

S.

Rip to one of the most entertaining characters in the show.

nofaace

The Purple Wedding! Was excited for this one. The tension in that scene before he died was almost unbearable. Also hymen maneuver is gold lol

AG

LIKE THIS?!?!? LOL

micah

Fun Fact about this episode: George Martin himself wrote this episode. Not unlike some other episodes like 1x9.

SuddenImpulse

Thanks! we are truly grateful for that. Enjoy the episode :)

CpaSpartan Pudgey

Thanks for the comment edit. Very much appreciate it! =)

SuddenImpulse

LMAO HYMEN MANEOUVRE

Angel M

please remove the first parenthesis. We feel this is straddling the line a little too uch. Ty.

SuddenImpulse

Franky E

Shoutout to Margaery for trying her darndest to diffuse all of the tense Joffrey/Tyrion moments in the most polite and gentlest ways possible

Franky E

10/10 ending scene! 😍🙏❤️

Timo Pahde

I loved y’all’s confusion this episode lol y’all are quickly realizing how much the story building In this show is not conventional at all.

Demo

Marjorie is only the Queen consort, like Camilla in the UK. She can’t remain queen without being married to a living king.

Elizabeth D.

imo a dim background is the way to go

zavy

If only Jaime had used the hymen maneuver LMFAO

Rekway

Yall are my favorite creators. Genuinely smile whenever I see a new post :)

thank u next

This whole season is just great.

Sean van Hengel

spartan's hatred for ramsay is pure gold
