So far behind, but so excited to see S&P react to the end of this episode!

For my money, Theon has some of the best acting and best character development in the entire series. It's a CRIME Alfie Allen didn't win any Emmys.

This season really is the one where you learn that big moments don't always happen in episode 9. They'll start pacing them out during episodes to keep you on your toes! Makes for fun reactions, as well.

That's why its an interesting question on which of these complex characters deserves more sympathy after all the crappy things done.

Yes she was. She treated Jon bad because he is neds bastard. With Theon she had no reason to be jealous. There is no excuse for Theon to burn 2 innocent children and kill Rodrick.
Rey Jr
2022-12-17 05:30:26 +0000 UTC
Robb said at least twice that Theon is not a part of house Stark but he at least considered him a brother. And of course Ned was a great rolemodel. But what about the Rest?
Look how Cat treated Jon Snow do you think she was more kind to Theión?
Sansa was a spoilet little Teenager who gave everybody a bad attitude she thought below her.

Jamie and Theon both deserve it because of their past actions

Not gonna lie but they kinda deserve it.

Jamie and Theon are both having terrible seasons so far for their characters, wonder who you guys feel more sympathetic for at this point? lol

100% Genuine investment both in thought and emotion like this cannot be faked and it really shows and separates from a lot of other reactions.

The final scene with Dany is my favourite scene of all time in GoT. I still get chills!

What, the pauses are the best part. Well - in context. Makes the video longer, too. Win/Win

2022-12-16 17:45:52 +0000 UTC
I am unsure if I dislike the pausing or not. if not mistaken there was 2/3 these last two episodes, not including skipping the HotD spoiler. I do like the visual cue/timer so I can watch a long which makes up for the pausing. Also I barely subscribed so not sure if pausing is common. There are times where I am like "just watch one more second and you wouldn't need to pause" lol. other than that best reactors on YouTube forsure!!

Pudgey, could you please explain once more what the Tyrells are all about, I didn't get it ;)
No seriously, IMO you are not completely on the right track. Without telling you specifics I think you should just remember what you really know about the family and ancestry and and about different characters. The Tyrells originate from a long line of stewards to their lords as you know from history and lore which IMO fits with their family motto.
Don't confuse the ambitions of individual characters with the overall family traits and goals. While they might sound similar or have similar outcomes they are not the same.
I don't know if you understood but when Olenna called her son an Oaf, that was neither a title nor a compliment.

thats like saying the ending of GOT isn't a spoiler because it aired years ago. It's a spoiler because its information they don't want to know yet. It's not that hard to understand

I think one of my fav things about you guys is the fact that since you're so well versed and invested in the series, even minor/side characters deaths hit you hard e.g. Jeor Mormant, Yoren, Syrio etc, not because of shock value but because you pay attention. Spartan thinking of a Jeor/Jorah reunion that cannot happen now and the 'my real father lost his head in Kings Landing' line hit you guys were the best parts of this to me. This was one of my favorite reactions from you guys. Thanks so much for your consistency and the best discussions from any reactors I've seen!

I feel like we need a 😳 counter for pudgey, hahaha. Your reactions are so hilarious, and like same. Also, tears for daenerys scene was so valid. That scene gives me goosebumps every time I watch it. Emila does a great job with the execution of her Valyrian

Eh. Pretty sure it happened only that one time or twice, in the one episode in season 1 (ep 6?) when they captured Osha. Later in the season, Robb made it clear that he considered Theon his brother. More than once.

Not trying to nitpick but it is slightly different. Rhaenyra and Daemon speak High Valyrian as they had the benefit of learning properly from within their Targaryen lineage. The people of Astapor and much of Essos generally, some of them speak Ghiscari, and some of them speak low Valyrian, which is a somewhat unpolished/bastardized form of Valyrian.

Another lore note connecting HOTD with GOT. Varys is from Myr. The 3 cities: Myr, Lys, Tyrosh were known as the Triarchy in HOTD, which fought with the Velaryons in the Stepstones.

Dang, I was waiting this whole time for that reveal. It's not really a spoiler if it's from episodes that aired years ago. There's like 8 more "spoilers" throughout this series as well

That Astapori slaver was calling Dani all kinds of foul things in Valyrian, not realizing she could understand every word. This is the same language that Rhaneara and Daemon speak to each other in Hot D. Epic.

Isn't it ironic how fiercely Tywin rejects Tyrion but ends up even saying the exact same things to Cersei ('you are not as smart as you think you are')? He is your son, Tywin, knock it off...

“Unsullied!” Dany galloped before them, her silver-gold braid flying behind her, her bell chiming with every stride. “Slay the Good Masters, slay the soldiers, slay every man who wears a tokar or holds a whip, but harm no child under twelve, and strike the chains off every slave you see.” She raised the harpy’s fingers in the air…and then she flung the scourge aside. “Freedom!” she sang out. “Dracarys! Dracarys!”
“Dracarys!” they shouted back, the sweetest word she’d ever heard. “Dracarys! Dracarys!” And all around them slavers ran and sobbed and begged and died, and the dusty air was filled with spears and fire.
