I think there are two ways to look at it. It is understandable why she feels that way, but it's not Jon's fault and she treats him pretty poorly in both the show and books.

You guys love to hate on Catelyn Stark. Shes a mother going through a lot of pain and suffering losing Ned and just trying to get her children back like Cersi would. Catelyn hating John is understandable since its Ned's bastard.

Regarding how Robert treated Stannis, just remember in Season 1 Robert outright told Ned that he didn't care for his brothers and that Ned was the "brother he chose". At the time it was a cute bromance scene between Robert and Ned, but now you sort of see the reality of how that affected Stannis

It's from a tale directly from the main book series. It's basically in myth/legend tale from the Age of Heroes, so almost 8,000 years ago. Might be true, might be false, might be partially true. Left to interpretation like many similar such tales in this world.

I was a little confused at first, but I think Margaery's view of the Battle of Ashford is just a bit skewed (understandably). Also, I really liked Catelyn's description of Harrenhal, and the perspective from Ygritte. On the latter, I don't know much about the scenario she described, but I'm pretty sure it was about someone from a long time earlier, not Craster.

Lol yeah they are a great team. Compliment each other well. This is also just a lot of information, so it probably gets hard to keep focus at that point in the video which is about halfway. I suggest they maybe to the next one in 2 or 3 separate sittings/recordings instead of all in one sitting and just stitch them together, so it's not just a huge wave of info in 1 hour.

I like how it reflects their personalities (in a good way) that Pudgey was really intrigued in Margaery’s where Spartan looked like he tuned out, and then Spartan was really perked up during The Hounds 😂

I'm only 15 minutes into the video, but I just wanted to leave an early comment on how I find George RR Martin's writing of Ned Stark & Stannis just so fascinating. To create two characters so bound by duty and honour, yet to have them presented in such a different way is really interesting. Stannis is one of my favourite characters from the books and the actor portraying him in the show does an excellent job. The casting was spot-on for me.

You know, for people who are watching GoT for the first time, I'm surprised at how much info you've retained as a team coz I've seen GoT twice (3rd with u guys) and I've forgotten half of the names they mention already lmao. So fair play to u, u deserve a lot more praise and recognition.

Not speaking for them, but they have tackled this kind of thing on their Boys reactions. I think they understand where he is coming from and WHY he is the way he is, that doesn't mean they think what he is doing is okay or forgive him. I think a lot of the comments in this video in particular are sympathetic in regards to his childhood and relationship with his father, but not as justifications for his actions at Winterfell or betraying Robb.

the fact that you guys are are sympathetic of Theon after THIS season? I'm very interested to see your prospective of his character development going forward.

I think it is cool that you guys are doing these lore videos after each season. Even if you miss some of the details, the information will definitely help fill up the world and give you more context for when you are watching the show, which in turn will help your appreciation of the story. Definitely worth it.
Keep up the good work!

Robb is only 16 in the books. The show aged up all the characters 2-3 years to make it more appropriate for television. Danaerys, for example, is 13-14 at the start of the books when she's with Drogo. Aging her up to 16-17 was necessary for UK law for depicting nudity or sexual situations for underage characters, even if the actress is of legal age, it is illegal to portray a character under 16 in the nude or in graphic sex scenes.
In the show Robb is 18 at the start, so he's probably 19-20 by the end of season 2

Wow you two are pumping them out! Cool to see all the perspectives on Roberts Rebellion. The marriage between Ned and Catelyn had to be quick to cement the military alliance against the Targaryens. Really enjoyed the one by The Hound. Would love it if a prequel series is done on Aegon's Conquest and Roberts Rebellion. Looking forward to season 3.
