Turning him into a vegetable was definitely on purpose though. In the show its left to interpretation, but the book seems a lot more clear on the matter.

If not for her I'm sure he wouldve survived. She then purposely killed Danys son aswell. Drogos blood riders were right to distrust her.

2022-11-09 02:48:38 +0000 UTCI just realized you guys will get a long way into Game of Thrones before House of the Dragon returns in 2024 Might want to talk to your moderators: in GOT S3 E4 there is a brief scene where 2 characters discuss the ending of the story told in HOTD. If you don't want to be spoiled, tell your mods to help you AVOID this small interaction. It isn't super relevant to any GOT plot point, just an offhanded conversation. If they don't know what I am talking about I can give you the time stamps in the episode to avoid. It's literally less than a minute. Lots of folks who began GOT for the 1st time after seeing HOTD get really upset having a major part of HOTD spoiled. Just an FYI!

2022-11-08 22:33:01 +0000 UTC@Kossez Yosko, I agree. It's been my experience that people vastly retroactively overestimate their understanding of the show and the world and the relationships. For example, a lot of ppl finish the season believing that Theon is a Stark, not realizing the Yoren came from the wall with Tyrion, or that the North had seceded from the Seven Kingdoms. There is a particular relationship that was not at all obvious in season 1 and only becomes clear later, but that people INSIST on clarifying in the comments of season 1 and it drives me nuts.
