Game of Thrones Full-Length Uncut S2 E4

Full Length Reaction Guide

We take copyright law very seriously, so you will have to sync up our reaction to your own version of the show/movie. To help, we have a range of guiding tools throughout the reaction to help you sync up with us, including a small snippet of the scene to ensure you are in sync.

Any instances in which you see the screen cut, this means we’ve had technical difficulties or have skipped a potential disruptions/bloopers. This means you will need to sync up your copy of the show again, if we are unable to edit these cuts seamlessly into the next scene. An updated timecode will be provided on the screen.

Anytime we pause, there will be timer/countdown on screen to prompt you. So if we’re about to pause, there’ll be a countdown, and you are expected to pause as the number reaches 0. The same will happen when we press play after pausing. You will press play as the number reaches 0.

These reactions DO NOT include our intros and discussions. You will have to refer to the original edited version of the video.

We hope you enjoy the video!

show watchers were shocked when Dany went mad at the end of the series. Yet here she is being defied and here she is threatening them they will burn for it since she isnt getting what she wanted. She was always mad. She always had it in her.

This isn't that big of a deal, BUT they aren't at Storm's End. Renly isn't even near the castle, they're just at some rallying point, hence the big camp in the middle of nowhere. They are somewhere else in the Stormlands, it's never really said where. Same in the books, Renly isn't at Storm's End either. However, the difference is Melissandre births a separate shadow baby basically right after killing Renly, this time at Storm's End to kill the castellan who refused to surrender the castle, in order to prevent a siege.

@Nana-Afia, fancy seeing you here, why you following me? Lol ;)

When the dead attacked Jon and Mormont in season 1, it was supposed to be a genuinely horrifying moment. I've always resented the show a bit for failing (IMO) to adequately convey the full horror and scope of that scene. The white walkers were essentially legends at this point in the show, so seing a reanimated corpse was as unthinkable to Jon and Mormont as it is to us in real life. I wish the show had done better in that regard. That should have been the first real WTF moment.

Julien

Love that there's like not a whole lot of magic in the series so that when there is magic it seems massive.

Birdseed

Lmfaooo I've never craved your immediate reaction/discussion more than after this episode. Though it's obviously a fantasy show, GOT is normally so grounded that this might have been its first genuine WTF moment 😂.

Julien

You guys have seen Harrenhal before in HOTD. The council of 101 AC at the begining was there and it was where both Harwin and Lyonel Strong were burned alive.

Christian Callahan

Exactly this. Even in ep 2 I think jorah was telling her how if they went in the wrong direction the dothraki or laxereen would kill them and steal her dragons. She needs to protect them.

Nana-Afia

^--yep this is important to know. Storms End is the castle you saw in episode 10 of House of the Dragon where Lucerys and Aemond meet and try to win over Lord Baratheon to their side.

SuddenImpulse

It was also that giant indoor hall area that was the very first scene of House of the Dragon, when the old king named Viserys the new king amongst all those people, called the Great Council.

SuddenImpulse

A small note on where Davos/Melisandre are at the end. They are sneaking into Storm's End, the seat of the Baratheons. Renly and Stannis met outside of Storm's End to negotiate.

Bran Flakes

Also she's weird about the showing the dragons I believe because she's very vulnerable and afraid of her tribe being slaughtered just for someone to retrieve her dragons.

Birdseed

You have actually seen Harrenhal before in HOD! It was the seat of House Strong during that period. It looks a bit different but the feelings of it being cursed stay the same.

Birdseed

Yep this. They can't defend themselves right now, and Danaerys and her group are in no way capable of stopping them in this situation. Dragons are known to be a very powerful weapon once grown, and even if that wasn't their intention, they would fetch an astronomical price in gold if sold.

SuddenImpulse

dany didn’t wanna show them her dragons probably because she was afraid they’d take them if they saw that they were real

I have two monitors, so I load up the show on HBO Max, and then load up their reaction on my other one. It just takes a couple of seconds to line the videos up and then you're good to go. I think it's the fairest way to ensure that we (as the viewer) have access to a legal copy rather than illegally watching it through them.

Most patreons with uncuts don't include sound or only do so for the first 30 secs. Since they are showing the full length video, it will likely get flagged by copyright and the video taken down if there is audio, sooner or later. The video shown is only there for you to sync up your own copy. Uncuts for reactions (not just these reactors but all reactors) are intended to be watched with your own copy, so the audio ends up being redundant. If one doesn't sync it up perfectly it would just echo, as well.

SuddenImpulse

Copyright . I just play the show on my and match the time with the reaction

Zeek

How come they don’t have sound on the uncut ones?

I've just made a Yorkshire Tea and this appears in my emails, time to put my feet up and enjoy. :D
