Game of Thrones Reaction & Review S2 E3

Comments

Wait why did we get an email notification for this lol?

Franky E

Exactly what I was thinking

BloodyBen

This post must be a mistake. We are on season 5 episode 5. Are we going backwards?

entendencia

Loved the reaction. Y'all are great.

Maurice Jamian Cupido

Oh weird, on my HBOMax version it skips it. Maybe HBOMax doesn’t consider Hawaii part of the US lol

Eddy Millan

I’m from the U.S. and it’s still there. I just checked.

N_JR

At least in my country, The United States, the scene has been removed from the episode on HBOMax, it just skips it.

Eddy Millan

if his comment is a spoiler then technically the got gets better and better is one lol

nofaace

Frothing for the next one team!

Tyson Wilson

@Dani Our moderation team knows about all HotD spoilers in GoT and we have an action plan in place so they won't be spoiled. We appreciate you looking out for them though. =)

SuddenImpulse

I know it's too early for this but watch out for a scene in episode 4 of season 3. There's a major house of the dragon death spoiled. Just keep that in mind.

Dani

This is the episode where you learn more about Varys and see more of who Tyrion is when he has power. Lots to learn about GoT in season 2 and 3. You’re both in for a ride.

GoTJake

The King does not rule until they turn 16. I'm not sure how old Joffrey is in the show since Joffrey was 12 years old when he became King in the books (I think he is much older in the TV series) but Aegon II was 22 years old in the books (and 20 years old in the TV series) when he was crowned so he will definitely be able to rule on his own.

Gam Mac

of course, Aegon is king, Alicent will have minimal power.

Ken Donato

@Julien Well said.

SuddenImpulse

@SuddenImpulse030, one of the thing GOT does so well is to show that rules and norms that many hold so sacred ultimately are just words. One of the most shocking moments in the show and books for me is when Cersei tore up Robert's "will" in the throne room before having Ned taken. The realization that it's just words on a paper. They don't mean shit - only what men with power want them to mean. And in that moment, Cersei had the power and Ned didn't. The end. Same with Yoren and the Night Watch rules.

Julien

It's truly unfortunate that the three types of creatures from above the wall that we tend to discuss (wildlings, wights, white walkers) all start with the same syllable/sound. In the book the White Walkers are mostly called The Others. But GOT premiered a year after another hugely popular show LOST had also featured mysterious creatures called The Others. GOT producers felt that the name would invite too many comparisons and references to LOST, so they went with WW instead.

Julien

Its interesting how you mentioned Cersei doesnt have as musch power being queen regent since Robert died. Makes me wonder will the same apply withAlicent in the next seasonnow that Viserys is dead.

Michelle Spillane

Since you asked about it, the Dothraki basically are a people with the same culture/religion but there are different tribes each led by a Khal, Drogo was one of them. They are nomadic but from time to time those tribes come together at their shared holy place.

fritz

Another aspect, and in my opinion the main aspect, why Cercei can not really do anything against Tyrion, at least not officially, is because the order to make him hand, even if temporary, came from Tywin. She has no problem going against an order of a dead king, but would not dare to go against her father and probably the most powerful man in Westeros. She is probably still figuring out how much backing Tyrion has from Tywin as hand. All her power basically comes from being a Lannister meaning being Tywins daughter, if he now backs Tyrion more than her, she has to be careful.

fritz

When you guys refer to the Stark children and their experiences, remember they mentioned in the S1 lore video that the Starks are descended from the First Men, rather than the majority of the continent's inhabitants who are descendant from the Andals whom arrived in Westeros later. So they are quite literally built different than normal people.

Rekway

@Josh please read the spoiler and expectation setting rules posted on each video. Thank you.

SuddenImpulse

Until it doesn't...

Josh

Yep. Basically White Walkers= Sentient, Intelligent Magical Ice Folks (George Martin describes them as a type of Sidhe) that have their own language and may even have their own civilization. Wights=Zombies the White Walkers raise from the dead and command.

SuddenImpulse

Can't wait for you two to punch through the seasons, GoT only gets better and better

Joseph Price

Yep he was on his own. Traveling recruiter. Nights Watch is considered and supposed to be apolitical, like the other orders that take sacred oaths (Maesters) so it's pretty unexpected and unethical for the Lannister troops to be attacking them in the first place. Anyone going to the nights watched is essentially "pardoned" for their crimes, regardless of seriousness, as a result of taking the life oath.

SuddenImpulse

Yep, also the huge castle that they did the Great Council coronation thing in the first 20 seconds of House of the Dragon episode 1 where Viserys was named the next king.

SuddenImpulse

It seems you guys are confused about the same thjng that I was around this point in the series. The White Walkers are the mythical beings that are always alluded to, but the girl like you saw in episode one is a “wight”. The White Walkers raise dead humans to be their drones basically, just like the one who attacked Jon in the night at Castle Black.

Sean van Hengel

Always fun with you guys!

Daniel Siegel

Awesome reaction!! keep it up! :)

Michael

With the Dothraki, there are multiple Khalasars (tribes) lead by multiple Khals. Danys son Rhaego (Stallion who mounts the world) was supposedly going to be the Khal of Khals, prophesied to unite everyone into a single Khalasar. Even after Drogos death, they split into a few different Khalasars following different leaders. Only Drogos blood riders and a few loyal followers remained. Every Khal has 3 blood riders. Literal definition of ride or dies lol. When their Khal dies they die too. If he's murdered, they avenge him then kill themselves. They follow Dany now after she survived the fire. That's who she keeps calling "blood of my blood". You guys are soaking in more than most, keep up the good work 👏💯 P.S MMT for the win this Sunday 🇹🇴💪🏃‍♂️💨🏉

xPirate91

In case you don't remember, Harrenhal is the place where Larys Strong burned his brother and father in House of the Dragon.

Ricky

That timing worked out well, almost right after I finished with the full-length reaction. :) And I didn't notice Pudgey being under the weather, so no worries there. I could be wrong, but I don't think Yoren had anyone else from the Watch with him.
