Don't know if you guys realized but the guy sneaking around with Varys in the dungeons is Illyrio Mopathis, the man from Pentos that brokered the marriage deal between Drogo and Dany. If you listen to their conversation, it seems that they are fueling a proxy war, setting opposing factions against each other to stir up chaos. Which could help out a certain queen. lol

You guys are my new favorite reaction account. I found you on YouTube and am a huge GOT fan. I think it’s cool to see your reactions as HOD fans to GOT. Just subbed to get early access to the videos.

This is kind of laid-back and refreshing after all that tension in HotD. There are some small reminders, though, e.g. a man angrily calling for his sword after being unseated in a joust, and another interaction between an eye and a dagger.
On the latter, Jaime and Jory had a conversation in the previous episode and touched on the Siege of Pyke (which was during the Greyjoy Rebellion). Jory mentioned that, in that fight, he almost lost an eye.

1) The guy that got pricked by the shaving blade was Renly, Robert's younger brother.
2) The succession goes down from king to his sons and if his sons are all dead, it will then be passed to his brother (if any).
3) Bastards can be legitimise by the king. Since Robbert's bastards have Baratheon blood... if he legitimise a son, he could also have claim to the throne. /wink wink/

Yep this is a pretty subtle thing, but this is why. Loras was basically cheating, and The Mountain was pretty displeased, to put it lightly, with both Loras and his horse as a result.

Jamie Lannister is arguably one of the best fighters in the seven kingdoms if not the best.

Really good reactions, I also really like the long discussion at the end. I hope you keep that format.
Picking up that Jorah Mormont is spying on Daenerys was nice, but even more impressive is catching the meaning of the scene where he wanted to ride to Qohor, when he heard that she was pregnant. It is strongly suggested that it was because he would sent that information to Varys. I think you are the first reaction channel I watched that got that right.

Damn these reactions are so good. I’m actually so impressed with how well you guys pick up on how the story is going, piece things together, and remember character relationships and names. Excited for more

The Vale, where we went with Cat and Tyrion this episode, is home to the Arryn's and the Royce's, among others. Jon Arryn was the King's Hand who just died, so that is his wife Lisa Arryn. Lisa and Cat are sisters, whose maiden name is Tully, the ruling house of the Riverlands.
Ya'll have actually seen both of those families in House of the Dragon already! King Viserys' wife Aemma, in the first episode, was Aemma Arryn. And in episode 3, Rhaenyra and her father are arguing and he says, "I myself was promised to your mother when I was... ten-and-seven years of age. The Vale had an army to rival the North". Also, Daemon's wife was named Rhea Royce, to which Daemon now stakes claim to territory in that area.

So you were confuse why Gregor Clegane (the mountain) killed his horse? So the reason is his opponent, Loras Tyrell (knight of flowers) played a trick on him. Loras' horse was a mare in heat. When Clegane's got near the mare, it got agitated and didn't listen to Clegane's commands, resulting in Loras winning the joust. Clegane was pissed at his horse so he killed and intended to kill Loras. Also note Loras' family name, Tyrell, as they are the wardens (rulers) of the Reach (one of the 7 kingdoms).

Think it's one of my favourite scenes in the entire show, and it's not even from the books

The scene between Cersei, The Queen and Robert, The King is my favourite so far. Really shows their relationship and adds another layer to Cersei as a character. Shows too that she cared about him once but he only ever wanted Ned's sister Lyanna. Great acting by Lena Headey and Mark Addy.

In regards to the two guys in the shaving scene, the brown haired guy with a beard is Renly Baratheon, Robert’s younger brother, not his son. I don’t think they make it very clear in the dialogue, but he has appeared in the small council meetings in earlier episodes.

The wolf and the lion, if I’m remembering right this is one of the highest rated in early seasons
