Full Length Reaction Guide

We take copyright law very seriously, so you will have to sync up our reaction to your own version of the show/movie. To help, we have a range of guiding tools throughout the reaction to help you sync up with us, including a small snippet of the scene to ensure you are in sync.

Any instances in which you see the screen cut, this means we’ve had technical difficulties or have skipped a potential disruptions/bloopers. This means you will need to sync up your copy of the show again, if we are unable to edit these cuts seamlessly into the next scene. An updated timecode will be provided on the screen.

Anytime we pause, there will be timer/countdown on screen to prompt you. So if we’re about to pause, there’ll be a countdown, and you are expected to pause as the number reaches 0. The same will happen when we press play after pausing. You will press play as the number reaches 0.

These reactions DO NOT include our intros and discussions. You will have to refer to the original edited version of the video.

We hope you enjoy the video!

This isn't my favorite episode of Game of Thrones, but it is the episode that made me become invested in the show. As a disabled person, the theme of "cripples, bastards and broken things" really spoke to me. Tyrion's interaction with Bran(a literal broken thing), Jon Snow talking about his mother and being a bastard, Gendry being Robert's bastard, and even Daenerys beginning to step outside her brother's shadow for the first time and she realizes that Viserys is a broken thing unable to take back the Seven Kingdoms, all show a unification of the theme of the episode across multiple characters really for the first time in the show. This will happen a lot more, and I think it is part of the show's success. Love you guys' perspective coming from House of the Dragon, keep it up!

Kevin Warner

You two are moving through this pretty well! I didn't think this one would be up already. It's interesting to see this with House of the Dragon in mind, e.g. the names of some dragons, the joust, and even the references to Harrenhal and House Bracken. A bit of background on Ser Alliser Thorne, the rather harsh trainer at Castle Black: From what I've read, he fought on the Targaryen side during Robert's Rebellion, and went to the Night's Watch afterward rather than be executed. He's very bitter toward Ned, and tends to take that out on Jon.

ahhk yep that makes sense

Hey Easy, we're sorry to hear about that im sure its frustrating. What we reccomend is to do the opposite of what the US people did, which is to play it at 1.05x speed on the youtube player which should sync up. if this doesn't go perfect you could try the more advanced method suggested in the previous videos and mess around with 1.04 - 1.06 and see what the sweet spot it. I am assuming these numbers should work as most people found the US version to be 0.95-0.96x the speed of the australian version. so I am just reversing this now and hope it works for you. let us know how you go

Gendry is the bastard son of King Robert. That means his mother is not Cersei. Robert had a child with some other woman.

Aerys Targaryen was the mad king, not Jaherys. Also, Khalesee is not her name, It's a title (Queen in Dothraki language, I think). Her name is Daenerys.

Any other Australian users here?? Because of the switch, WE now have difficulties trying to sync up our binge versions with the reactions. Any possible solutions?

Just also wanted clarify that it was Theon's uncles that helped start the rebellion and died fighting in the rebellion. The "Uncle" that was killed by King Aerys, "The Mad King." was Ned's father and brother, who would been uncle to Robb, Sansa, and the other Stark kids. Two totally different storylines, Hope this helps clarify. Love the reaction!

^---Yep exactly this. Also to add, it is usually treated as more of a punishment, and the hostage/ward isn't treated particularly well. However Ned always treated him well and so Theon came to have a strong, almost brotherly friendship with Ned's own children.

SuddenImpulse

Theon Greyjoy is the son of Balon who is Lord of the iron islands. After Robet became king the Greyjoys started a rebellion that was easily squandered by the king and other forces of the realm. When an enemy is defeated it is custom to take a captive/ward so no future rebellions take place. Hence why Theon was taken by the Starks as he is the heir to the iron islands, he was a young child then. He is not Ned's son but more a foster kid of sorts there is no blood relation.
