We take copyright law very seriously, so you will have to sync up our reaction to your own version of the show/movie. To help, we have a range of guiding tools throughout the reaction to help you sync up with us, including a small snippet of the scene to ensure you are in sync.
Any instances in which you see the screen cut, this means we’ve had technical difficulties or have skipped a potential disruptions/bloopers. This means you will need to sync up your copy of the show again, if we are unable to edit these cuts seamlessly into the next scene. An updated timecode will be provided on the screen.
Anytime we pause, there will be timer/countdown on screen to prompt you. So if we’re about to pause, there’ll be a countdown, and you are expected to pause as the number reaches 0. The same will happen when we press play after pausing. You will press play as the number reaches 0.
These reactions DO NOT include our intros and discussions. You will have to refer to the original edited version of the video.
Please follow these steps to sync up the video:
1. Click on the video on the patreon page so that it will open up on Youtube itself.
2. Go to the top right corner of your browser (in this case Firefox or Chrome) and click on the 3 lines or 3 dots respectively.
3. Select More Tools from the drop down menu.
4. Select Developer Tools/Web Developer Tools
5. This will open up a new screen within your webpage. Find the tab that says "console". Click where you see the little arrow with blank area.
6. Type in the following (I don't advise copy+paste as sometimes it doesn't like that) exactly as shown here: $("video").playbackRate=0.96
7. Press enter. Close that aforementioned window. Watch the video alongside your copy as normal.
Since this is a micro-second adjustment, your internet speed may make this vary just slightly, so you might have to pause once or twice to perfectly sync it with your own, just like with any other show, but after that it should be consistent the ENTIRE video without any further effort on your part. This should be sufficient for watching reactions for most people until this other solution we are working on is complete.

As you already know things get a lot easier after this initial phase with all the worldbuilding.

Not only is incest considered an abomination by the main religions of Westeros, and the smallfolk in general, but it also creates huge issues with how royalty works in Westeros. If the king whores around, people don't care particularly much outside of basic morality. If the Queen, Cersei in this case, is sleeping with other men, they could have a bastard child and try to put them on the throne, pretending it is the kings son, even though that child is illegitimate. Funnily enough, this is the same issue going on with Rhaenyra's children in House of the Dragon episode 6.

You should watch the History and Lore videos of each season but AFTER you finish the season because it might contain spoilers. you gotta understand this world is so massive and immense there's simply no way for them to explain everything but you'll learn about it in the History and Lore videos, for example the religions in the realms and the wall and how it came to be, those trees you see can also be explained and so many other things that will make you love this show more and get more immersed while watching it. On other note, Khalisi is not her name it's her title, it's an equivalent to a queen for the Dath Raki, the Khal is the male equivalent. Khal & Kahlisi. her name is Danaeres Targaryen. Also when it comes to Jorah's father, we can only at this point assume that it's the only other Mormont that was mentioned which was the Lord commander of the Night's watch. The Mad King that was mentioned saying "Burn them all" was as far as we know till this point of the show the last targrayen who sat the Iron throne since they came from Valerya. Aegon the conqueror who was mentioned lots of times in HOTD which I know you guys are watching also was the first Targaryan to cross the narrow sea from the continent where danaeres is right now all the way to westoros. and as we also knew from HOTD that the reason he came was the secret that Veserys told Rhaynera in the first episode, which is the end of the world of men that will start with "a terrible winter that will come from the distant north" as I think was said in HOTD. I think it's kinda good that you guys are watching HOTD also with this I just hope it won't get confusing because I said before this world is massive with so many different names and houses and castles and places each have their own history and wars. I just hope you guys will enjoy this as millions others do.

2022-09-28 20:05:47 +0000 UTCJust to clarify incest in GoT and HOTD: Targaryens practice incest to keep bloodlines pure. It’s particularly important because their blood controls the dragons, and with Valyria gone they’re the last of their race. No one dares to challenge them because they have dragons. Jaime and Cersei practice incest for pleasure and love. They do have to hide their relationship, because incest has never been accepted by the common people. Even with the Lannister's being the richest noble house/their importance to the Crown, their level of power isn’t close to the height of the Targaryen dynasty. Hypothetically, if Robert Baratheon walked into the room at the end of 1x1 with Jaime and Cersei going at it, it would be a MASSIVE problem.

His son Rhaegar Targaryen was the one we were told killed Ned's sister who Robert loved. Daenerys Targaryen and Viserys Targaryen are also the children of the mad king which is why they feel the iron throne is their birthright.

That's why her husband (Jason Momoa) is called Khal Drogo, which means King Drogo essentially. Her name is Daenerys Targaryen. Also, a fun fact about the Lannisters is that we've seen them in House of the Dragon! The guy who made a sexist joke at Rhaeneyra's wedding was a Lannister, and that guy's brother also sits on the small council as master of ships after Corlys left!! Love the reacts, guys keep up the good work :))

Rhaegar Targaryen the eldest son of the mad king and is also the eldest brother of Daenerys kidnapped Lyanna Stark who was betrothed to Robert the current king. This made Ned's father and eldest brother travel to King's Landing to appear before the king for their sister's safe return. The mad king killed both of them which sparked Robert's Rebellion which he won hence why Robert is king now and not the targaryens. So Daenerys and Viserys the children of the mad king are in hiding across the narrow sea to try and create an army to invade Westeros and reclaim the iron throne.

The Lannisters got to there status from Tyrion, Jaimie and Cersei’s father, Tywin. He hasn’t been introduced yet but he’s a hell of a character! Keep up the good reactions you guys are awesome 👏🏻
