There are no spoilers. But if you'd prefer to wait until the information is revealed in the game, feel free to stop reading now. Otherwise, keep reading :) Anne's mother, left alone to raise her daughter, found support in a sisterhood, which later turned out to be a cult. She joined it when Anne was about six years old. Currently, the mother, devoted to the cult, remains with them, while Anne, upon coming of age, escaped to avoid an impending initiation.
