The theme of this episode is advertising, it starts with the Los Pollos Hermanos commercial and ends with Badger and Skinny Pete advertising Blue Meth in the Narcotics Anonymous meeting. Also, after Jane died, Jesse became a bit of a nihilist for a while. Because he blamed himself for her dying (he didn't know that Walt actually killer her, first by knocking her onto her back and then not saving her when she choked to death on her own vomit).
