And episode "Korra Alone" was inspired by episode from the Last Airbender episode "Zuko alone" released in 2006. Avatar the last Airbender started in 2005 and ended in 2008. Legend of Korra started in 2012 and ended in 2016

I promise,if you go back through the episodes you’ll be able to notice her now that you know who you are looking for. To answer your question about why Harmonic Convergence only did air benders and not any other elements was because of balance. Most of the air benders were wiped out thanks to Sozin and there were only 5 left until Harmonic Convergence. All the people that got air bending was because they most likely had an ancestor who had an air bender gene somewhere in their family history and it was skipped through generations until Harmonic Convergence.
