Hey everyone,
First off, we want to thank you all for your patience and support, and we assure you that we’ll be back on track very soon.
One of our team members recently went through an incredibly difficult experience due to the 7.7 earthquake in the Myanmar region. Until last Friday, he had been living as a digital nomad in a different country with his family, but the disaster forced him to leave. He made the difficult decision to leave and go back to his home country. Thankfully, he has now found a new place for himself and his family and is finally starting to settle down. Once he’s fully settled, development will resume immediately.
He shared a bit of his experience with us, and we wanted to share it with you as well:
"I was with my 64-year-old mother and my pregnant wife in our 20th-floor condo of a 48-story building. We couldn’t run or duck under a table, so we pressed against an inner wall. It was our first earthquake. They sobbed, especially as the wall ahead cracked open in the middle with the shaking... enough for us to see into the next room through it. I tried staying strong, but I broke, telling them I loved them, certain the building was done. We saw our bedroom ceiling collapse through the doorway and water falling through the window. When it stopped, I forced open the hallway door, half-blocked by debris, kicking it barefoot until my wife could squeeze through, yelling for them to hit the stairs. I grabbed my phone and my Crocs and caught up with them at the stairwell. Supporting my pregnant wife, we raced down 20 floors. It was pure hell. Fortunately, we and our baby are fine. So I can only be grateful for that."
Despite all of this, he remains determined to get back to work as soon as possible. We’re incredibly grateful that he and his family are safe, and we appreciate all of you for sticking with us during this time.
Thank you for being the amazing community that you are.
See you soon! 💙
