Astral Lust 0.1.10d | Public

Astral Lust 0.1.10d is out!

This release:

• Adds 5 new exploration events (7 H scenes).
• Adds Mina to the vault on some afternoons.
• At vault Mina has new dialogue option, and 2 H scenes.
• Adds Past Lives - Main story's side event.
• New status effect & card - Heart of Flames.
• Replaces all old status effect icons.
• Improved many events loot.
• Enhanced exploration RNG, now it's easier to see all events.
• Fixed weird supporter display on 4K version.
• Changed & fixed a few other things.

Allies were ultimately temporarily cut out from 0.1.10, as they completely broke the balance. It would need further re-balances to make it all work, and make for the better experience instead of breaking it. While making you much more powerful is not bad, it needs to come with new challenges.

In the Astral Lust buffs/debuffs are the core to having good build, you don't have much hp, and enemies have it in a abundance, so you need to use status effects and smart tactics to overcome the enemies. And allies add a lot of health to the poll. While they won't be as powerful as the player using synergies, they will provide a lot of help and be able to take a lot of hits for the player. I will first come with some new fun challenges before adding team system.

Balance is something really tricky to keep. One often can't imagine the actual importance of a simple change or addition. The more variables and options are there in the game the harder it is to balance everything properly. All new cards can lead to totally OP synergies, all new enemies can lead to uncrossable challenge. Imagine enemy that adds itself invulnerable every turn. (Due to one bug during pre-alpha 0.1.9 tests, one enemy actually did it. 😅 It was a fight that made one cry. 😭) There will always be builds stronger than others, the art is to make other builds interesting enough.

0.1.10a, b, c patches fix issues.

0.1.10d is the last, and the biggest patch for 0.1.10. It fixes a lot, and adds some little things, and balances a lot. In general fights should become much more manageable and much less random.

Don't  unzip over the old version! (Unless using a patch) Unpack to a new, clean folder, or first delete contents of the old folder.

Android version needs to have its own version of combat 2.0 screen, so it will take some time for it to update.

!Warning: The 4K version has heavy requirement for your rig, on most rigs it would lag, if animations don't play at 60fps try 1080p version or disable animations in preferences. 4K version has little to no meaning if you play at 1920x1080p resolution or lower!
