Just out of curiousity of what kinds of poses, sizes or scenarios you would like to see.

I've been thinking that too. It's really fun to try pushing large sizes to their limit, but it might be a fun idea to do more with sizes that are on the realistic spectrum. Especially something like the Mayuki since I tend to put huge hanging bellies on everything. Going back to other sizes or shapes I drew before with more experience does sound like a good idea since I feel like I could get a lot out of that for scenarios. I forgot what possessed me to draw something featuring three girls at once really, but I need it to possess me again. I've been trying to set more of a scene with a bit of a background even during the sketch stage, so I definitely want to consider more interesting perspectives to sell an idea on top of tat. I'm happy it's being appreciated. It's just a series I really love and the setting is often easy-going enough to enable some silly ideas. I gotta stop neglecting Ys girls though. The part about Strike Witches surprises me, but I guess it's mostly GuP that caught on in the west as far as that sort of series goes.

For sizes I'm always more partial to the biggest one of your ladies can get before they absolutely cannot stand up anymore. I.e Their legs are so big that the fat from them is almost touching the ground. For poses I enjoy seeing the massive ladies trying to give off the impression that the weight doesn't bother them at all despite the fact that they are clearly struggling to stay standing.

2024-01-01 04:24:01 +0000 UTCin terms of sizes, i do miss some of your "thinner" pieces, like the separate miyu & liz pieces you did years ago or the anelace you did somewhat recently. the piece you did for megumi from gj-bu is still one of my all-time favorites of yours. for shapes, both of the hinako note pieces you did were godlike. most of your recent stuff has channeled that old hinako piece you did but the shape you did for mayuki was perfect, and i love my fat titcows. thinking about it, you had a lot of great shapes around that time that i think you should mess around with in your more experienced style: the nero and artoria beach pics, the sakura, the kancolle prinz eugen, etc. i think the pinups and scenarios you've been doing recently have been great, but the girls frontline piece you did with spas being flanked needs to absolutely come back; that one is easily another all-time favorite of yours. the high-angle shot you did for the bowsette piece and that mid-low angle you did for that azure lane girl (Z23 from what i saw? never got swept into AL) are some perspective suggestions. i have to say thank you for being the sole torchbearer of trails/falcom fat girls across all fat sizes. you are also the only (western) artist who has done anything for strike witches. here's to another good year.

2023-12-31 19:00:23 +0000 UTCI feel like I tend to go through 'phases' where I lean too much into one particular angle for a time. I remember the 'below angle' period and should try to mix things up more overall! The old dump pics were all the result of getting into a new series with characters I started to really love, resulting in a lot of silly and fun ideas for scenarios and poses. I really want to go back to setting more of a scene with a scenario in my drawings, even during the sketch stage. Surprisingly I don't think I have ever referenced Adeline too much in my art, I tend to use photos of women with flabbier bellies (her face is fantastic for round big faces though). Lately at least I'm leaning more into balanced and pearier shapes again at least. As far as size comparisons go, I really want to do more stuff like Alisa with Irina. Gotta go more indulgent. I've messed around with things like stretches before, just sometimes find it a bit tough to not make it look too ridiculous at huge sizes. But I suppose it might be worth it especially when leaning hard into the failure of trying to exercise.

Or another half heartedly doing a squat before an inevitable wardrobe malfunction? How about a girl laying down in bed struggling to get up because of her belly? I keep coming back to your 'old dump' series from 3 years ago, especially this Alisa sketch: https://www.deviantart.com/hypnagogum/art/old-dump-8-850785026 Great shapes there too. Same goes for your more recent Irina/Alisa stuff. While your SSBBW Adeline-influenced work has been an interesting direction that I don't want to distract from too much, those two Turn A Gundam sketches you posted last month were a welcome surprise. More side-profiles, stuckage and size comparison scenarios will always be appreciated.
