It looks like the version of the show you’re watching is the censored version that was cut for crunchyroll. It’s missing scenes that are present in the directors cut version. For example, the scene with Caster and Ryuunosuke visibly showed Ryuunosuke crucifying the children. A few shorter moments were also cut from the conversation between Gil and Kirei at the end.
