Sameer and Muskan now became habitual to the fact that Sameer had long hair that made him look girly to a lot of strangers in public, especially to anyone who saw him from behind. Muskan loved teasing Sameer about it every time some guy came in trying to look at the face of the pretty girl with the beautiful hair and looking with some doubt. He may not have much facial hair but enough to make a manly-looking face with his thick eyebrows and thinner lips.

It was fun for Muskan but also for Sameer who loved even the slight feeling of being recognized as a woman by a few. Especially when people called him miss or madam because of the confusion of the long hair, he even began to shave with a four-blade to get a very close shave and have zero visible facial hair.

Things would have continued this way and stagnated after some time unless that life-changing invitation had arrived. It was a huge couple's night costume party at a hip club that they had applied for every year but never got into. The prizes in the event used to be huge so applications to attend also used to be high. This year was a lucky break that allowed them in.

Muskan told him that we need to do something big if we want to win. So they began to think of all the costumes that they could wear that would be sure-shot winners. But no matter which one they picked, they always had some other better option, but none that would guarantee a win. Muskan asked one of her friends for suggestions who told her to go for shock and awe value so that everyone remembers them, so they had to do something different and special.

She advised going for a period costume because they used to be really elaborate and flashy. Suddenly Muskan had an idea to make this extra exciting and to gender-swap the costumes. That would definitely get everyone's attention. So they decided to go as Salim and Anarkali with Muskan being Salim and Sameer as Anarkali. Muskan wanted to practice for the day so that they would act in their role with perfection.
