Shoutout to the guy who died eating, Dango? Of all the ways to go choking on food with plenty of people around is one bad way. The story about the mountain is an analogy for how he overcame the martial arts of Japan in the continent (China). Basically he had climbed the mountain of skill in a large country, but the martial artists in Japan only had their own country's frame of reference. So he decided to kill locally skilled Samurai to prove himself. Eventually he just became a demon (Killer) because they never recognized his skill no matter how man mountains (Samurai) he conquered.
