Not among my favorite zombie movies. It's an interesting concept, but it always felt like it needed something more... can't quite put my finger on it.

World War "Zed" :)
In Canada, we pronounce 'Z' as "Zed", not "Zee", so it always sounds funny to me when I hear "Zee". :D

I'll mix it up with 3 different suggestions. First, Jojo Rabbit, I think it's the 3rd time I've suggested this here and I'm not going to stop until you finally watch it :) Secondly, I loved your Mary Poppins and we need more of them so Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. And for the third movie and I think Rocky should be right up on your list of movies to watch also.

Maybe try tv show The Walking Dead or spin off Fear the Walking Dead. If movie then try Resident Evil franchise but it's more of a action sci-fi movie rather than horror movie

There haven't been many worthwhile Zombie movies over the decades. Many are bad 'C ' movies or bad direct-to-dvd or bad direct-to-streaming movies. The original "The Dead Trilogy" are where flesh eating, reanimated corpses first appeared (made by George A. Romero). "Night of the Living Dead" (1968), "Dawn of the Dead" (1978), and "Day of the Dead" (1985). They're good. There's also "Land of the Dead" (2005). There's a "Night of the Living Dead" remake from 1990. I like "Juan of the Dead" (2011--Cuban horror comedy) and "Black Sheep" (2006--horror comedy). I remember I liked "Cemetary Man" (1996--QUIRKY Italian horror comedy). And several people already mentioned "Re-Animater" (1985). 🧟♂️🧟♂️🧟♂️

Was it stated in the movie that the virus kills the host? I thought it was just like any other virus, it infects the host but they are alive. So body shots should kill them as they eventually bleed out, they can just take a lot of hits since they don't feel pain. Akin to rabies. like in the 28 days series.

Best Zombies on my list. Everyone has their own I'm sure.
1. Dawn of the Dead
2. Day of the Dead (fav character in it is Bub)
3. Return of the Living Dead (part 1&2) these ones crave brains for some reason.
4. Pet Sematary
5. Zombieland(1&2) - (z-comedy) beware of the homer zombies. 😆
6. Shaun of the Dead (z-comedy)
There are different types of zombies from what I know. I enjoyed 28 days and 28 weeks later. But the recent one...it was ok.

Honestly, most zombie movies are not very good in my opinion, but if I had to recommend one, i would say -
28 Days Later (2002)
and it's sequel
28 Weeks Later (2007)
(and maybe "28 years later", which is still in development), are your best options

This movie gets a lot of criticism because it's not like the book it's supposed to be based on. But if you give the movie a chance, you'll see that it's a good zombie movie.
The zombies look good and are dangerous. The scenes in Jerusalem and on the plane are intense and exciting. I particularly like the scenes where the zombies sweep through the streets like a wave.
The only thing that bothers me a little about the story is this: I like the Idea that the zombies, as virus spreaders, don't infect people who are terminally ill.
The problem is, that doesn't make much sense; the zombie virus kills the host anyway and then reanimates them. And the zombies don't exactly exhibit a self-preservation instinct. So it shouldn't matter to the virus whether the host is sick when infected.
Well, I still like the movie.😅
So, since Chi wants movie recommendations, here are a few.
Zombie movies: 28 Days Later, REC (2007), The Girl with All the Gifts (2016) is a relatively unknown movie, I think. Zombieland is the best zombi comedy. Warm Bodies is a zombie romantic comedy.
Outbreak (1995) and Contagion (2011) are neither zombie movies, but they're about a deadly virus that threatens the world, so a similar theme.
Other horror movies: The Grudge (2004), As Above, So Below (2014), The Blair Witch Project (1999), Oculus (2013).
Regular movies: The Mission Impossible movies, Ocean's Eleven trilogy, The 13th Warrior (1999), Highlander (1986).
That was a great reaction, ladies, as always.💜

If you need a horror zombie/virus classic then I would recommend Rec. Its a top tier scary movie. Another classic zombie/virus infested movie which I know u girls would love is Resident Evil. Dawn of the Dead which someone recommended is also decent. However the best zombie work which I have seen in recent memory is a TV show called "Kingdom" - However its Korean. Its just what I wish Game of Thrones could have done.

Hi munchies!
Chi you really need to eat before looking the movie. I saw you tried many times to eat Ivy !! Even if she defended herself by deafening you.
By the way, the word camouflage that you didn't understand it's ngụy trang ( as far Google traduction work fine).
The Spanish flu that they spoke off was around ww1.
In the end, thanks to you, I survived to my first zombies movie!! And damn I hate those creatures !!

It's pretty bad. Brad Pitt usually picks better projects and seems unhappy to be there. It seems like the sort of movie pushed forward at every step as a cynical business prospect without anyone involved reaching for more. Studio schlock to capitalize on the zombie fad and a popular book with which it has little to do.

This movie is based on a book by MAX BROOKS. He is the son of Mel Brooks. You know Mel Brooks because he made the movies Blazing Saddles, Young Frankenstein, and Spaceballs.
I would say some important movies to the zombie genre are:
White Zombie 1932. Considered the first zombie movie, but the zombies are more like the original meaning of the word "zombi", a corpse resurrected to be a mind-controlled slave.
Night of the Living Dead 1968 - Probably the most famous zombie movie directed by George Romero
Dawn of the dead - 1978 -more George Romero
EVIL DEAD - 1981 - These are less traditional zombies, but I think it still be included and this whole series of movies is worth watching. These were Sam Raimi's, the director of Spider-man, first films.
28 DAYS LATER - 2002
DAWN OF THE DEAD (remake) - directed by Zack Snyder written by James Gunn, really entertaining.
EVIL DEAD 2013 (remake) This movie is great, intense and scary. Don't be mad at me if you can't sleep.
