2024-10-21 12:55:46 +0000 UTCYears back, the kid was just learning literitive devices like irony, alliteration, and such. At dinner, he paused and asks the table "what's a pun?" With only a slight pause, I retorted "lettuce eat" as I took a large forkful of salad... noisily. The kid sunk back a little and went back to eating. Nobody at the table even flinched... until my MIL saw that I could hardly hold in my laughter. The kid is so witty with words nowadays, and I am so proud.
