I have her joints bending if you look at it frame by frame. Her legs stick out at the end of each cycle to give a sense of of her glide-like running. However, give me a better sprite example and I'll see what I can do.

The style of the other sprites are determined by how her sprite set will ultimately look, and other sprites will come easier after her base set is done.
