Title: Wole Zain

*SHING!*

As the Charcoal-Head man trembled in fear, clutching his legs tightly, Ark casually swung his sword, slicing through the emblem on the thug’s chest. A glowing red mark appeared on the emblem.

“It’s over.”

At the same time, the battle on Kirin’s side also concluded.

While Ark intercepted Seaweed-Head, Kirin had drawn her sword to face Rooster-Head.

Without even needing to use the Renzuru Technique, Kirin’s rapid slashes overwhelmed her opponent, leaving him in a desperate situation.

Remembering Ark’s earlier instructions, she flipped her sword and struck Rooster-Head in the face with the blunt side, sending his teeth flying as blood spurted from his mouth.

*CRACK!*

The next second, Kirin’s blade passed through his emblem, shattering it completely.

*BEEP!*

A loud signal echoed across the stage.

“The match is over. Winners: Ark & Toudou Kirin.”

The mechanical voice announced their victory clearly.

“WOOOOOOAAAAHHHHHH—!”

The Sirius Dome erupted in earth-shaking cheers.

“They’ve won! An incredible victory!”

“The match lasted only ten seconds, and Ark and Toudou Kirin have claimed victory!”

“So strong! Truly unbeatable! As expected of Seidoukan Academy’s consecutive top-ranked students—a completely one-sided match!”

“It seems the online rumors weren’t exaggerated. With their strength, they are undeniably championship contenders!”

The enthusiastic commentary blended with the audience’s cheers, further heating up the already tense atmosphere. Even outside the Sirius Dome, passersby were entertained by the commotion.

However, those who were closely monitoring the match—or more specifically, watching Ark—observed with heavy expressions.

The sight of Ark’s casual slash releasing a searing wave of heat had left many in awe.

“To think he could wield Ser-Veresta’s power like that…”

“Incredible… completely unheard of.”

“It seems the rumors are true—his compatibility with Ser-Veresta is extraordinary.”

“I’ve never seen anyone wield a Demon Sword like this. He’s a force to be reckoned with.”

“...We need to make plans.”

A mix of curiosity, competitive spirit, and resentment arose in the hearts of the spectators. Ark’s performance had ensured his name would spread far and wide, marking him as a rising threat.

Among the other Phoenix Festa participants, many undoubtedly saw him as one of the biggest obstacles to their championship dreams.

What consequences might arise? Only fate could answer.

However, Ark wasn’t thinking about such things.

“We did it, senpai!” Kirin’s cheerful voice brought Ark back to the present. She ran toward him, her face radiant with joy.

Ark smiled faintly. For now, he wanted to savor their victory—even if it was still early in the tournament.

Sirius Dome, Contestant Room

Unlike Seidoukan Academy’s Multipurpose Arena, the Sirius Dome was far larger and provided private waiting rooms for all participants competing on its stage.

Ark and Kirin had returned to their lounge and were sitting together, chatting casually.

“Amagiri-senpai and Riessfeld-senpai are also competing today, right?”

Kirin was now completely relaxed, showing none of the shyness she had displayed when they first teamed up. After more than a month of training and interaction, she felt entirely comfortable around Ark, even smiling brightly and cheerfully in his presence.

“They’re in Area C, first round, third match. The zone is different, but it’s scheduled right after ours.” Ark said, opening the match schedule and selecting Ayato Amagiri and Julis’s names.

A window opened, showing their match, which was about to begin.

Ark’s attention immediately focused on the screen.

He couldn’t help it.

On the screen, Ayato stood alone, a relaxed smile on his face, though his eyes shone with a sharp intensity.

In his hand was an activation device—a black hilt, similar to Ser-Veresta’s hilt.

However, while Ser-Veresta’s core glowed red, this sword’s core emitted a unique color, different from the green of Manadyte. It was clearly an Urm Manadyte.

There was no doubt that Ayato’s activation device was for an Orga Lux.

*ZING!*

The Urm Manadyte shone brightly as Ayato activated the device. A digital grid pattern formed around it, creating a sturdy crossguard and a large energy blade forged from Mana.

The blade sparkled a bright blue, like a flawless emerald, radiating a mesmerizing light.

*BUZZ!*

At Ark’s waist, Ser-Veresta began to hum, resonating intensely.

“That’s…”

Kirin unconsciously leaned on Ark to watch, her eyes wide with amazement at the sight.

“Wole Zain.” Ark murmured, naming the blade.

Wole Zain, one of the Four Colored Magic Swords, was the counterpart to Ser-Veresta, born in the same era. While the other three swords had wielders in the open and in secrecy, Wole Zain remained unused in the original story, never appearing.

In Asterisk’s history, no era had ever seen all Four Colored Magic Swords wielded simultaneously, not even in the final stages of the original storyline.

But now, thanks to Ark’s acquisition of Ser-Veresta, Ayato had inadvertently become the wielder of Wole Zain, bringing this legendary weapon to the surface.

“So now, all Four Colored Magic Swords truly exist in the same era…” Ark mused, marveling at the twists of fate.

“Amagiri-senpai is starting!”

Kirin’s voice pulled Ark from his reverie, and his focus returned to the screen.

“With my hidden sword, I shall shatter the prison of stars and unleash the power of the tiger.”

Amid the thunderous applause, Ayato raised Wole Zain high and chanted the incantation with full authority.

In an instant, chains of Mana formed around him, emerging from a purple magic circle.

*BOOM!*

Ayato’s Prana surged explosively, shattering the magic circle and obliterating the chains.

The burst of Prana from Ayato was so extraordinary that even through the broadcast, Kirin gasped in awe.

“Amagiri-senpai’s Prana…” Kirin murmured, realizing just how immense his power was.

However, Ark wasn’t surprised. Ayato’s Prana was truly extraordinary, unmatched by almost anyone in Asterisk. Even Ark himself wouldn’t claim superiority in this regard.

As Ark watched closely, Ayato began to move.

It happened in an instant.

As his true power was unleashed, Ayato shot forward like a gust of wind, a trail of light following behind him.

The blue light of Wole Zain flashed briefly before vanishing.

As the light faded, Ayato stood behind his opponents, his sword sheathed.

Behind him, two emblems shattered simultaneously and fell to the ground.
