Title: Another Demon Sword?

“Do you have something to say to me, Ayato?” Unable to bear Ayato’s overly obvious gaze, Ark finally asked him directly.

“Well... that’s about it.” Ayato hesitated but eventually decided to speak. “I heard you have an Orga Lux called Ser-Veresta. Is that true?”

When Ayato mentioned this, Ark knew exactly where the conversation was heading.

“Why?” Ark smiled faintly while looking at Ayato. “Are you interested in Ser-Veresta?”

“Something like that.” Ayato replied, his tone vague, but his expression turned serious. “If possible, could I see your Orga Lux?”

Ark didn’t respond verbally. Instead, he reached for his jacket and pulled out a pitch-black activation device.

This action not only caught Ayato’s attention but also drew the attention of the two girls sitting across from them.

“So, this is Ser-Veresta...” Ayato stared intently at the device, and as if driven by an irresistible urge, he reached out to touch it.

However—

*BUZZ!*

The black device suddenly vibrated, and the red Manadyte embedded in it glowed brightly, emitting a wave of heat that shot toward Ayato’s hand.

“Ouch! That’s hot!” Ayato pulled his hand back as if he had been burned, his face contorted in pain.

“Ayato-senpai?!”

“Hey! Are you okay?!”

Kirin and Julis exclaimed simultaneously, their voices filled with concern.

“Sorry.” Ark said hurriedly, equally surprised. He immediately put away the Ser-Veresta activation device. “I didn’t expect that to happen.”

That was the truth.

“Don’t worry.” Ayato said with a smile to reassure everyone. “It seems like it doesn’t like me, haha.”

“You—can’t you take these things more seriously?!” Julis scolded, unable to hold back. “Everyone knows that Orga Lux won’t let anyone other than its recognized user touch it. That’s common sense!”

“Is that so?” Ayato scratched his head, looking genuinely clueless.

“It’s true.” Ark confirmed Julis’s explanation, then added, “Normally, Orga Lux wouldn’t react so strongly when not in an active state.”

“Then why did yours react so intensely, Senpai?” Kirin asked timidly, her curiosity clearly piqued.

“Well...” Ark scratched his head, looking slightly awkward. “I guess it’s just because Ser-Veresta is too sensitive and doesn’t want anyone but me to touch it.”

Even without asking directly, Ark, as the user who had bonded with Ser-Veresta, could vaguely sense its thoughts.

When it rejected Ayato’s touch, Ark felt a clear emotion akin to displeasure.

Clearly, Ser-Veresta considered itself entirely Ark’s and had no intention of letting anyone else handle it.

This was likely because the weapon had become Ark’s exclusive armament after their union, giving it a will of its own.

Julis seemed to realize this and commented, either teasing or probing, “It seems your Orga Lux really likes you. No wonder you can use Ser-Veresta’s power in such an extraordinary way.”

“What’s your compatibility rate with Ser-Veresta, Senpai?” Kirin asked, her curiosity getting the better of her. However, she quickly realized her mistake and panicked. “I-I’m sorry! That’s probably not something you can just share. Please ignore me!”

When Orga Lux is loaned out, much of its information becomes public knowledge.

So, the fact that Ark was Ser-Veresta’s user wasn’t a secret.

However, compatibility rates are usually kept confidential. Although not a sensitive secret, some people prefer to keep such information private to avoid revealing too much about their abilities.

Understanding this, Kirin immediately apologized after realizing her slip-up.

“It’s fine. It’s not a big deal.” Ark said, shaking his head indifferently. “As for my compatibility rate with Ser-Veresta, the final value displayed was 100%.”

Indeed, the final value displayed was 100%. After that, the text became unclear without any readable numbers. Ark wasn’t entirely lying.

However, discussing how he surpassed the critical threshold and achieved something extraordinary wasn’t a topic suitable for public discussion. Such a feat was too shocking to reveal casually.

So, Ark played a little word game. Even so, the result was still astonishing.

“Perfect compatibility?” Julis murmured softly, her gaze toward Ark becoming more serious.

“That’s amazing!” Kirin, on the other hand, showed pure admiration without overthinking it.

As for Ayato, being new to the city, he didn’t fully understand Orga Lux. This made him feel deeply regretful.

The reason Ayato came to this dueling city and transferred to Seidoukan Academy was to search for his older sister.

Five years ago, his sister came here, enrolled in Seidoukan Academy, and then mysteriously disappeared.

No, it wasn’t just an ordinary disappearance.

Since then, all records of his sister had been erased. No matter how hard Ayato searched, there was no trace of her, as if she had never existed.

Driven by the need to find her, Ayato transferred to Seidoukan Academy.

His interest in Ser-Veresta stemmed from the fact that its previous user was his sister.

Of course, all information about this had been erased. No one knew that a few years ago, a student from Seidoukan Academy had wielded Ser-Veresta, one of the Four Sacred Demon Swords.

Publicly, the last known user of Ser-Veresta was believed to have been active over a decade ago, with no records of the brief period when Ayato’s sister had used it.

Although she was only one of its users, Ser-Veresta had indeed been in his sister’s hands.

In the original story, after transferring to Seidoukan Academy, Ayato eventually used his Special Scholarship rights to request a loan of Ser-Veresta. He was acknowledged by the sword and became its user with a 97% compatibility rate.

Unfortunately, Ayato’s high compatibility was solely due to his extraordinary Prana. However, his control and energy adjustment were lacking. Despite his high compatibility, Ayato was never able to fully master Ser-Veresta or unlock its true power.

Understanding this, Ark noticed Ayato’s regretful expression and offered some advice after some thought.

“You’re a Special Scholarship student, so you have the right to freely choose an Orga Lux once. If you’re interested, why not visit the Equipment Bureau?”

Ser-Veresta was now bound to Ark as his exclusive weapon. Even if he wanted to give it to Ayato, it was impossible.

However, there were other Orga Lux at Seidoukan Academy.

Ayato’s latent power was extraordinary, only suppressed by the seal within him. If he could obtain an Orga Lux, it would undoubtedly be a significant boost to his abilities.

After taking Ser-Veresta for himself, Ark felt that guiding Ayato to acquire another weapon would at least make up for it in some small way.

As Ark pondered this—

“Actually, after this weekend, I’m planning to head to the Equipment Bureau to pick up an Orga Lux.” Ayato said with a lazy smile.

“The president mentioned that in a few days, the Orga Lux related to Ser-Veresta will be transferred to Seidoukan.”

“It seems like it’s another Demon Sword, right?”

“When it arrives, I’ll participate in its compatibility test.”
