Unlimited Blade Works of the Raging Dimension 39

Title: A New Beginning

Shirou cautiously surveyed his surroundings, and after ensuring no one was paying attention, he initiated his next move.

He lightly vaulted over the high wall of the minister’s courtyard and landed silently behind a house within the compound. He had secretly familiarized himself with the architectural layout of the courtyard.

‘The warehouse is about 50 meters from the bedroom. The guards patrol every five seconds after two minutes. The bedroom is about six meters above the ground, and the roof is about ten meters high. The timing is sufficient.’

Pieces of information flashed through his mind. He hadn’t been idle during the past few days while the Jaegers members hadn’t fully assembled. He now knew all the useful information about the Prime Minister’s courtyard.

After two minutes, there was a five-second gap between the guards’ patrols. Without letting anyone notice, Shirou quickly crossed the fifty-meter open area and leaped into the Prime Minister’s room.

The room was eerily quiet, not even a light was on. Shirou had known this for a long time. According to his investigation, it was quite common for Honest to stay at the palace tonight. It wasn’t unusual for him to stay at the palace and spend the night there. It was considered too extravagant if they could stay there for one or two days a week.

Shirou moved calmly within the room. Clairvoyance allowed him to see a rivet from four kilometers away even in the dark of night, enabling him to walk in the dark room as if it were daylight.

His eyes swept every corner of the room, searching every possible spot, very quickly, but without making any sound. In the darkness, any sound would be very noticeable, which would be a big problem for others, but for Shirou, it was actually nothing.

The bedroom was furnished with extremely luxurious furniture, with a large gold-plated bed, crystal chandeliers, and even furniture made of precious wood. All of this didn’t even give the feeling of a nouveau riche, but instead gave the impression that the owner of the room had a very refined taste.

Seeing all this, Shirou’s eyes remained calm. Every inch of this place was stained with darkness and blood, but he didn’t care, and he didn’t even feel angry, because he knew his goal was very clear. There was no need to expend extra energy on these things.

All the obvious spots around had been checked, but nothing was found. This was not surprising. Shirou did this only because he didn’t want to miss any spot.

Ordinary methods couldn’t find anything useful, but he was a Magus, and a Magus skilled in Projection Magecraft. Using magical power to detect and analyze was his specialty, but there were drawbacks to doing so. On one hand, the light emitted was very conspicuous in the dark night, and the unknown light in this room would be clearly visible to everyone.

On the other hand, the fluctuations emitted by magical power were very noticeable to ordinary people. Although they couldn’t sense it, elite trained soldiers or Imperial Arms users would react to it.

‘Forget it, there’s no other way. Let’s just try it now. At worst, I can blame Night Raid.’

Thinking this, Shirou drew the curtains, and for safety, he extended a large wooden board in front of the window.

After completing all the preparations, he placed his right hand on the floor of the room.

A large amount of magical power flowed from his body into the floor along his right hand. Blue magical lines spread across the room, gradually covering the entire room.

“The basic structure is clear. The room’s structure is clear...”

Under the influence of magic, every corner of the room appeared in his mind.

“There are three secret rooms in this room, each protected by mechanisms. All three have self-destruct devices. Does that mean I need to dismantle these things first?”

The corner of his mouth slightly lifted, revealing a confident smile. Such mechanisms were too simple for him.

While Shirou was working, a burly bearded old man came out of the room as if he had noticed something. His name was Sten, and he was one of the Four Rakshasa Demons, the Prime Minister’s personal execution organization. Usually, at least one of the Four Rakshasa Demons would stay in the courtyard to be responsible for security work. This time, Sten was in charge.

Sten had just been resting in his room, sharply sensing an unusual aura. Although the Four Rakshasa Demons were not Imperial Arms users, their own strength was not inferior to ordinary Imperial Arms users. Moreover, years of hard training allowed them to manipulate any body that could not be underestimated.

Sten stepped into the courtyard and looked towards the source of the breath – the bedroom. Unconsciously, he felt uneasy, but soon became excited.

‘So, has someone infiltrated? Then, release your soul!’

His eyes showed interest. Unexpectedly, Sten killed people because he wanted to release their souls and save them from the suffering of the world. From a psychological perspective, he wanted to do something good.

He quietly walked to the building where the bedroom was located. The Prime Minister’s residence was a three-story building, and the bedroom was on the second floor. When Sten entered the building, Shirou had already completed all the investigative work, so his magical power was also withdrawn, so Sten didn’t notice anything unusual.

In the bedroom, Shirou had also completed his current work. All the mechanisms and self-destruct devices had been broken, and the hidden items had been taken out.

Seeing the item in his hand, a smile appeared on his lips.

‘The item is in hand, it seems like a big harvest, let’s retreat first.’

However, instead of taking out the jeweled sword, he turned around.

‘It seems someone has noticed? This speed is really unexpected.’

The tightly closed bedroom door opened, and Sten entered without any disguise, staring at Shirou in black robes, with a terrifying smile on his face.

“It’s not just you, now that you’re here, let me release your soul!”

“Oh? I really don’t intend to let you go. Trace On!”

Projection Magecraft activated, and dozens of identical long swords appeared around Shirou.

“This—Murasame? Impossible, how can there be so many Murasames?”

Sten stared at the swords around the black-clad man with slight horror. He had definitely heard of this famous Imperial Arms, Murasame, which could kill with one strike, and now Akame’s weapon from Night Raid. But now, in front of him were dozens of identical Murasames.

Shirou didn’t answer, but just waved his hand, and dozens of Murasames were fired amidst Sten’s horror.

*BOOM!*

The massive explosion destroyed the Prime Minister’s three-story house, obliterating all traces, including the body of Sten, who had been killed by the poison. Earlier, Shirou had directly returned to his room through the Jeweled Sword. No one knew about this.

Not to mention what happened to Shirou, there was also new movement on the Night Raid side.

“This is the new Imperial Arms that Susanoo gave me from headquarters. The two people there are my new comrades. Please introduce yourselves.”

“Hello everyone, my name is Chelsea, and from now on we will be good friends as assassins!”

“My name is Dolly, please guide me.”

Night Raid, whose strength had greatly increased, also began new operations.
