“Come in.”
Upon hearing Mafuyu’s cold voice, Haruto pushed the door open and entered.
Inside the office.
Mafuyu was sitting in her chair, organizing documents on the desk.
Nearby on the floor, there were two large cardboard boxes filled with exam papers.
Mafuyu raised her head and glanced at Haruto, a surprised expression on her face, “Kuromori-kun, what can I do for you?”
Haruto closed the door and was about to speak when he heard Mafuyu say, “You came just in time. Can you help me clean up?”
“Sure.”
Seeing him start to help, Mafuyu showed a bit of distress on her face and said softly, “I’m not good at organizing things. A lot of this is unwanted. I’ll send it to the storage room later.”
“I’ll treat you to a drink later. What would you like?”
“Matcha soda sounds good.”
“Um~” Mafuyu replied softly.
At this moment, Haruto suddenly said, “Kirisu-sensei, you used to smile a lot, and you looked very beautiful when you smiled.”
“Huh?”
Mafuyu looked at him in surprise and asked confusedly, “Has Kuromori-kun been to Ichinose before?”
“Yes.”
Haruto nodded slowly, “Kirisu-sensei, do you remember why you left Ichinose?”
“I left because...”
Mafuyu unconsciously started to explain her reasons, but as the words left her lips, she suddenly froze.
Haruto continued, “Mafuyu-chan is the best in the world.”
Hearing those words, Mafuyu suddenly woke up.
Haruto opened his arms, “Come here quickly.”
As soon as he finished speaking, Mafuyu couldn’t help but throw herself into his embrace, hugging his waist tightly.
After a while, Mafuyu calmed down and asked, “Haruto-kun, are we all dreaming?”
“Yeah.”
Haruto picked up the cardboard box and said, “Let’s talk while we walk.”
Mafuyu nodded slightly, sighed, picked up the other cardboard box, felt the weight of it, and walked out of the office, the warmth of the sun shining on her body.
Is this really a dream?
Mafuyu quickened her pace to catch up with Haruto.
“Haruto-kun, will there be any danger?”
“There won’t be.”
Haruto shook his head slightly and said, “I took the initiative to enter this dream, so don’t worry, I will take action in the end.”
“That’s good.”
Seeing her sigh in relief, Haruto couldn’t help but remind her, “Mafuyu-chan, we’re dreaming.”
“So what?”
Mafuyu glared at him in embarrassment, then quickened her pace and went downstairs.
“Even in a dream, you shouldn’t do anything reckless. Otherwise, I’ll make you write a self-review when you get back.”
Haruto said without words, “Is it because we haven’t registered?”
Mafuyu’s breath hitched, and she walked even faster.
Haruto: “😐”
Is that really it?
But registration is just filling out a form.
Is it really that important?
❂❂❂❂❂
School ended in the afternoon.
Library.
Haruto put away his phone, looked at Itsuki who was seriously doing her homework, and suddenly asked, “Itsuki, I have a question for you.”
Itsuki raised her head and looked, “What do you want to ask, Kuromori-kun?”
Haruto pondered for a moment, “If we became a couple, what would you most want to do, register, or...”
The bookshelf suddenly shook twice, followed by the sound of Miku’s suppressed groan of pain from behind the bookshelf.
Haruto twitched the corner of his mouth, looked at Itsuki whose face suddenly turned red, then placed her hand on her chest, looked at him warily, and stood up firmly.
Behind the bookshelf, Miku fell to the ground, covering her forehead with both hands while frowning, tears streaming from her eyes.
Haruto sighed, squatted down, and said, “Miku, let me see your forehead.”
Miku turned her head with tears in her eyes, hesitated for a moment, then removed her hands from her forehead.
“Luckily, the skin isn’t broken.”
Haruto placed his hand on her forehead, then activated his superpower.
Even though it’s a dream, pain and such still exist.
This is also a scary thing about this dream.
Soon, Miku felt a warm current spread across her forehead, and the pain began to fade.
Haruto withdrew his hand, “Does it still hurt?”
Miku shook her head slightly and whispered, “Thank you.”
“Be careful next time.”
“Just because I didn’t notice it, I ended up like this.”
“Don’t talk about this now.”
Haruto frowned, “You were eavesdropping, weren’t you?”
“I wasn’t.”
Miku puffed out her cheeks, “You really doubt me, you’re at fault!”
Haruto narrowed his eyes and pulled Miku up.
Miku thanked him again, then picked up the books on the ground, puffed out her cheeks, glared at him, then turned and left.
At this moment, Itsuki’s voice was heard, “Kuromori-kun, I have something to do today, so I’ll leave first.”
When Haruto went out, he saw Itsuki leaving in a hurry.
“Guilty! Seppuku!”
“Don’t ever think about that!”
Haruto sat down and slapped the table, “Itsuki has left, it’s just you, come here and sit.”
Miku hesitated for a moment, then walked over.
Haruto looked at her, and coincidentally Miku also looked at him. After just two seconds of staring at each other, the girl couldn’t help but look away.
“Kuromori-kun rekcless, stop staring at me!”
“Do you want me to close my eyes?”
“Okay~”
Haruto held his forehead and said, “Anyway, please answer my question to Itsuki earlier seriously, Miku.”
Miku pursed her lips and whispered, “Idiot.”
Haruto raised his eyebrows slightly.
Miku grabbed the headphones around her neck, looked out the window, and said softly, “Registration is of course very important because it’s proof of affection.”
“I know.”
“Huh?”
Miku looked at him in surprise.
Haruto narrowed his eyes, “Even though I know this, in reality, a form can’t prove anything, can it?”
There are many things that prove love.
The simplest, yet hardest, is friendship.
Haruto didn’t expect them to take it so seriously just because it’s a form.
Miku puffed out her cheeks, stood up, and said, “I’ll be back.”
Haruto waved his hand, “Goodbye.”
The step she was about to take suddenly stopped, Miku puffed out her cheeks, and suddenly walked back.
