The mention of not seeing a kendo stick instantly made me think of Akira Hokuto vs. LLPW's Yasha Kurenai. It happens two months after this match and Kurenai spits at Hokuto before the match begins. She then attacks Hokuto with a red stick when the match begins. Hokuto proceeds to no-sell some of Kurenai's chokeslams, take some more of her offense and then beats her with her first move in the match, a Northern Lights Bomb. The fact that she was so violent back in the day but nowadays if you saw her you wouldnt know, like her ig is full of stuff like her throwing birthday parties for her dogs and random cooking pictures (hokutoakira_official) violent but adorable.
