Kota is storyline and IRL really good friends with Kenny Omega's and was also widely regarded as one of the best wrestlers in the world for a while. Kota Ibushi unfortunately has been going through a pretty significant string of injuries over the past few years and that run of bad luck continued recently as he just suffered from a Broken Femur a few days ago. So you might not be able to see him in AEW any time soon.
